West Marine is a good store, I believe. I heard it was one of the best stores for boat supplies and planned on making many more visits. But I didn't get to enjoy my visit because ALBERTO was profiling me the whole time.. He came right over and asked if I needed help. Do I know what I'm looking for?? I showed him the exact product because i didn't see it, and he said if it's not here, we don't have it. Ok, thanks. Then he stands behind me, watching. I turned and said, "I'm good." He goes to the next aisle and keeps peaking like obvious peaking, then walks back and forth. 🤔. So for my 8mins in the store, I was being watched like a child. Very unpleasant visit.Store #13275/12/23

The worst online ordering experience ever.Ordered 3 items on 07/17/20.Was told to expect 7-14 day delay for shipping.. no problem understood things were busy etc.. 16 days after order placed get email one item back ordered not in stock. No problem send other two items , and send back ordered item when it comes in. Five days later received email , back ordered item back in stock.One month after ordering called customer service talked to manager Patricia, said she would expedite shipping at no charge items would be received by end of the week. Great.Next email received saying item no longer available, call back talk to manager Patricia again. Ask for a substation or anything to get items shipped since this was a birthday gift. Nothing available or can’t even see what’s in stock. Finally states essentially selling items that aren’t in stock.. such a joke for customer service and business in general

Had a great experience getting advice from their kayak expert (I believe his name was Korten). Great guy and extremely knowledgeable. I followed his recommendations and he was spot on on everything. Best sales associate you’ll find, which is refreshing compared to other places where they are just trying to push merchandise to you.

Absolutely excellent service at this shop. They were open on the weekend which was really important to me and they had exactly the parts that I've needed on two occasions for a fairly old boat and motor. It's a bit of a drive from me considering where I live, but I absolutely will be shopping here for my future part needs. Thanks from Canton!

I placed an order with your company for a Raymarine AIS700B transceiver on June 1, 2022 (order 21096150 for $1,190.74). I have made several inquiries on this product, only to be met with promises on delivery dates not met and meaningless rhetoric. It no longer even shows on my order history. If you love being jerked around by customer service, this is your company.

The sales associate did not know anything about kayak paddles zero nothing, no knowledge on dog life jackets and no absolute no help with my life jacket, if I worked in a place I would certainly research and become familiar with the products in my store! I was the only customer their but he felt the need to hurry back to the front where there was already an employee at register! Never go back

The store was very clean and nicely laid out. Each aisle had specific categories of items that were easily accessible. There were many kayaks fishing kayaks and wakeboards to choose from. They had the latest clothes and swim trunks Galore. Nice store.

Arrived just before noon on the last day of the sale. Started browsing for sale items. None were to be found. I asked an associate about the sale and was told that the manager told him to remove all of the sale tags I asked why and I was told that the manager, Jeremie, always has them remove the tags shortly after opening on the last day of the sale.I asked to speak with the manager and waited 10 minutes. I then went looking and found him chatting with another associate. I asked him why they took the tags down and was told because it was the last day of the sale. He then made it clear that the register would still take the discount. I the asked how I was to determine what was and was not on sale. He suggested that I would find a flyer at the front of the store that should show most sale items.Unbelievable and unacceptable. All of this with no apparent concern or apology.

My wife bought me a Garmin fish finder for Christmas to use on our kayak trips. I was very excited and eager to use it. My wife booked a trip to a state park here in Texas and I began to mount the finder on my kayak. I realized I was going to need some extra wire to run the power to the finder. I went to Home Depot to get what i needed. I was not sure what all I would need so I took the power cable provided with me to make sure I got the right parts. Somehow during this I ended up losing the power cable I took with me. I was in a panic when I realized later that night. I had to have that cable because it had the power pin I needed to plug in to the fish finder. I went to the Home Depot first thing the next morning and had no luck. We were leaving on the trip the next morning and I was not sure what to do. After some googling, I came across west marine and the website said they had the cable I needed. I drove to Lewisville and was looking around the shop. I did not see what I was looking for but a nice guy came up and asked if he could help. I told him my delima and showed him what I had found on the stores website. He looked and found it but it was an 8 pin and not the 4 I needed. I was disappointed and told the guy the whole story and that I had to go on the trip my wife booked without my Christmas present. He asked me to hold on and went to the back. When he returned … let’s just say he fixed my problem. Way Above and Beyond anything I could ever imagine. The trip was a success and Jason at West Marine in Lewisville was the reason. Not only did the fish finder work like a dream but I avoided being dumped in the lake by my wife for losing the cable. Thanks so much Jason and I will from now on send anyone I know looking for anything marine related to you!

Good store! There is at least one guy, maybe two up there who know what they are talking about when it comes to boat repair and working with west systems epoxy. Full selection of everything you need to buy to start boat building. They are eager to price match, which is a great move as by default the prices are a bit high. Good kind staff, will come back again for more epoxy!

Went into the store this past weekend and found the gentleman working there to be very helpful. Gave useful and friendly advice on how to do a minor electrical install by directing me as to where to look and what to buy. I'll certainly be back!!

For those reading negative reviews, this location is brand new, only having been open since Oct 2016.Location near Lake Lewisville is great! I have made several trips for small purchases and always have someone knowledgeable share their info about kayaks and sailing. I am very excited about this particular store because it is more of a fun retail shopping experience while still having a large quantity of parts.

Very clea and well-designed store with good service. However, it is definitely geared more towards boat supplies than anything else. If your looking for kayaking, SUP, or stuff like that you'll need to look elsewhere

Came in Sunday afternoon to purchase a Garmin GPS. We were greeted by three people when we came in. Looked at the GPSs for 15 minutes while two employees stood behind the counter talking. Never came over to help or to inquire. We left and told them we would buy somewhere else.

This is a bright, brand new store. If you like or need marine supplies, they have quite a nice selection. As with most things retail marine, pricing is on the high side for hardware like cleats, pulleys, etc.They have a nice selection of kayaks, paddleboards, etc. The address doesn't work well on Google maps for some reason. If you're trying to find it, it's on the southeast corner of Josey and Sam Rayburn tollway. It's next door to Target.If you need something marine related, these guys have it or can get it. If you're a West Marine fan, this is a great new store.

The staff here was friendly and welcoming! If they don't have an answer or aren't too sure about what you need; they'll research an answer and have it for ya! Will definitely come back when I need more kayak supplies!

Purchased a $144 battery here in Nov 2014 with an 18 month warranty. Went in today for a replacement as it will not hold a charge. I was told no warranty could be honored without the original receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a battery? Autozone or Walmart keep that info in their system. I was never once told to keep my receipt or to become a rewards member in order to get a warranty. What a slimy way for a business to not honor their warranties. NEVER do business with these people unless you just dont care!

Good selection and helpful staff, but business hours are not up to date. I drove 1.5 hours to get to the store to find out they now close at 5pm on Sundays instead of 6pm as advertised.

The manager that works Saturday was real rude when I schooled him on west marines return policy. He then had the audacity to say I messed with the wiring of the speakers when the wires on them is what comes with them.

For the people with concerns about their pricing. West Marine is now price matching, including Amazon! The staff is super helpful and are full of information.

This is one of the better west marine locations. The staff is very helpful and know a lot about boats and water craft. They seem to have the new products and or most recent electronics.
