We had a great experience here after a scary situation with our puppy. Every single staff member made us feel so comfortable and heard throughout the whole process. The office staff was patient and supportive. The vet techs and doctors did an amazing job loving on our baby and saving her. They had great communication and answered every question with detail. They really took their time to help us feel at ease and we are very appreciative of every one here. Would absolutely recommend this clinic!

Absolutely LOVE this clinic and the staff! Recently our fur baby Banjo passed & they helped every way they could medication wise before he did to try and find a solution, we are still healing from it, and they were kind enough to send a thoughtful card with their condolences. They showed him love and Patience every single time, Banjo says thank you. It was a special touch. Would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for doctors & staff that care!

Excellent service in every area with fees that are as reasonable or better as we have found anywhere especially with the level of service they provide.We had an emergency with one our dogs on a Monday morning and by 9:30 am the same morning Dr. Smith was in the room examining him.After the service we received with our first dog we took our other two in for checkup exams. We received the same outstanding service with them as with the first visit.The front desk very polite and patient, they answer, return and do followup calls with exceptional diligence.The nurses again polite, patient with my numerous questions and very knowledgeable answers, and very good with our one unsociable dog.Dr. Smith was our vet for all three dogs and I have never had a vet as thorough with the exams, as willing to take the time to explain the exam, or with the exceptional advice and explaining results of the exam.I have been looking for a good vet service for several years and the Leonard Vet Clinic will now be the only vet service for our farm/cattle dogs!

Just moved to the area and was looking for a new vet. We tried this place and actually loved it, every appointment was well over $300 but that’s expected, vets are expensive. I had no problem with that UNTIL they tried to charge me $300 dollars to release my miniature poodles anal glands. I denied the shot they wanted to give to bring it down to $150 but even still, $150 to release anal glands?! I was actually warned by a neighbor about this prior to booking, but wanted to give them a chance anyway, and bc they’re the closest vet to our home. But that appointment showed me that they were in fact just another vet who loves to up charge each appointment as much as they can.In response to the owner: $151 was paid to express anal glands and send home an antibiotic spray that he didn’t need nor did we use. Still a ridiculous amount to pay for such a MINOR issue so therefore my review is not incorrect. Yes $150 - $300 for anal glands expression as you stated.

Very kind and compassionate team all around. Brought my baby in for an emergency appointment that ended up being an end of life visit, and they were so kind and caring. Considering the circumstances, I couldn't have asked for a better care team to keep me updated but also do what was best for my pet.

I have been very pleased with the friendliness and quality of service as well as the affordability. The staff has always been very welcoming. I appreciate the thoroughness of exams and explanations of care/treatment. I also appreciate that they offer, but don't push, services outside of what you have requested or require. I am glad I found them. I have been thoroughly pleased with how they have taken care of my sweet pup (and us).

The vet and staff did a wellness check on my granddaughter's bearded dragon, Viserion, and the vet really discussed the lizards issue with the 12 yr old child, including her in every topic. Of course, our grandchild is extremely advanced in her thoughts, related to anything science, so talking to her about her dragon was easy for the vet. Front Office very kind and helpful. Our lab is 93 lb but a NOT LAID BACK Lab; but this vet and her assistant took their time with him. He cannot stand to have his ears touched, which was the problem to begin with. The assistant who cleaned his ears was the best I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend the Leonard Animal Clinic.

The clinic Dr/staff are wonderful here. Took care of my dog even through they had never seen him before right out of the hospital after getting turn down by our local and normal vet. They had compassion for me and my dog and made us both feel right at home. This will be my new vet clinic! Thank you guys so much for taking the time to care for my furbaby! He is feeling much better. ❤️

My sweet Nala (toy aussie Shepard)was in labor with her second litter of puppies. I wasn't expecting any problems since she didn't have any problems with her first litter. My mother was midwife at my house since both my husband and I were at work. She did well delivering the first two. Then the third puppy she began to have issues. The third puppy was born not breathing but my mother was able to revive her to life. The 4th puppy labor began at 11am and still was not born 3 hrs later. It appeared to be stuck and by this time nala and puppy were in danger. I was able to call the clinic and they were prepared when my mother arrived with nala and the puppies. They were able to save nala's life but sadly the puppy did not make it! However im very grateful that they rushed nala in as soon as they arrived! The doctor was very good and staff was very professional and sympathetic. Thank you so much!

Belle was seen immediately for pain and inability to use the bathroom. The Doctor is always great. She gave me two easy to use meds to help my Beautiful Angel cat. Belle is getting better. I’m always confident in this veterinarian.

I was calling around to get prices for getting my dog spayed and getting her vaccinations. I called Leonard Animal Clinic and four other veterinary offices. EVERY other vet asked my dog's weight and age and gave me a price or price range for the spay and an exact price for the vaccines. When I called Leonard, I was told that they could not give me a price because it depends on each individual dog. She did not ask my for my dog's weight, age, or anything. I asked if she could even give me a rough idea and she said it could be anywhere from $300 to $1000. $1000 to spay one dog?!?!? Also, when I asked about prices for vaccines, I was told that they don't have a price list and I would have to make an appointment. How do you run an animal clinic and not have price lists? This is not like the human medical community where your insurance pays the office visit and you just pay for the prescription co-pay. I'm not taking my dog in for a vet appointment for an open-ended cost. I will be taking my dog to one of the other four highly recommended vets who could give me prices for their services. I find not quoting prices to be very sketchy and unprofessional. I understand that quality care for our pets is priceless, but at least be upfront about what you're going to charge.

I am not local to Leonard and there are at least two other vets that's are closer to home, but I have been bringing my fur-family here for years and they always take such great care of us. I called the office yesterday morning in a bit of a panic after one of my older dogs broke a nail and bled all over the place. I was initially told to bring her at 2pm, but received a call right back asking me to bring her asap so that they could honor my request for sedation; Daisy has always had a very hard time getting her nails done. Less than 2 hours after an initial exam with the vet and drop off, I received a call that everything went well and Daisy would be ready for pick up any time after 1pm. I got there closer to 2pm to give the staff time to settle back in and intake new appointments after lunch, and they had my angel all set to go. Written price break down, antibiotics and antiinflammatories, post-procedure and bandage care instructions, and all sorts of praise for my girl. It is such a good feeling walking into a place and knowing that every member of the staff genuinely cares about the well-being of each patient and will do whatever is in their power to take care of them and make them comfortable. Thank you, Leonard Animal Clinic for always looking out for my fur-family!

This clinic has helped my sweet puppy so much. Yes, she's an older dog, but we still call her our puppy. They have been patient and understanding with us. They understand that a fur baby is a forever baby. An important part of the family, just as deserving of loving and attentive care. We will 100% continue to come back for our Harley's needs.

The staff here are absolutely amazing , welcoming and professional. We came here after our local vet in Bonham turned us down after going there 10 years because we werent "established clients" . Meaning basically we dont bring out animals in monthly and buy their recommended dog food they pushed on us every single time. Totally unacceptable. we had just came in from denison animal emergency and they only keep your pets until close they only are open weekends and after hour emergency hours. we were left scrambling in the parking lot to look for a reputable vet whom would take our dog in last minute. They treated him with care and by 4pm he was 80% back to himself and is currently resting and not in pain. he had an infected and enlarged prostate . I am unsure of every single bad review as its common sense you need to be seen for any vet to give an accurate estimate and unfortunately our furbabies are an expense and sometimes a big expense . we are in 2500 total and the this clinic only charged us 200 for a biopsie total 400 for everything this is more than fair . I suggest when anyone buys a pet be prepared for expensive vet bills. its pretty much common sense . glad to found our local to us vet and will be our now regular vet . Thank you guys so much .

I took my 11 year old fur baby Mojo to the vet because he had been coughing for 3 days. Go figure the day of the appointment he stopped coughing. Lol, but anyway. They took good care of him. They gave him some tests and fixed up his ears, he had an infection. They cut his nails and answered all my questions. We went back for a follow up today, I was so surprised by them calling and texting to check up on him before the next appointment. It made me feel like they care and was concerned. Well took him in today and same great service. My only thing was they seem kinda steep in prices. I will continue to take my fur babies there though.Thanks for your time.

I have taken my Great Pyrenees dogs to a few vet locations. I am grateful I have found this location as a place to take my dogs to for grooming and now for vet check-ups as well.So far my experience with the team here is one in which they truly listen and take into account every detail I share with them. Which is important to me, because my dogs, like people, are unique.This is the first time I have felt like the fact that my dog is experiencing life on a large amount of acreage is apart of the equation for the vet team. In the past, it seemed like my dogs' outside lifestyle has almost always been discounted by vet teams, leaving it difficult for them to get proper treatment and attention that truly suits their needs.In talking with the team here, particularly the vet groomer on staff, I felt truly heard, especially when small details I shared on a phone call prior to my visit were repeated back to me once I arrived in person. I can't begin to share how much that meant to me.Not to mention the fact that in the past I have always feel a bit stressed and high-anxiety myself when taking my dogs to a vet's office. This vet location in particular took a number of steps to help me feel comfortable with the hands I was leaving my dogs in - even making outside accommodations due to the understanding that my dogs are way more familiar with life outside than life inside.So grateful for this team, and in particular the dog groomer here! The team here truly meets you where you are.I'm only 2+ years in to taking care of dogs (pets in general) (for the first time ever in my life) and so this means the world to me. I so far ALWAYS have felt a bit embarrassed in all the lack of knowledge I have as a result to being so new to taking care of pets. This team responded so great to that fact alone!

Our dog had an accident about a month prior to our visit. She had a pretty bad flesh wound that we had taken good care of at home but it needed something more to heal it up. We went here and the doctor and her staff were amazing. Everyone was so kind and understanding as well as informative. The environment was very friendly and judge free. The doc gave us some cream for our dogs leg and within a week it has dramatically improved. We are extremely pleased and would recommend to anyone. I have seen comments about it being pricey and I’d have to disagree. For the care we got anyway.. very well priced and pleased with the outcome of our visit.

Staffed by amazing people who love the animals they treat and the humans who own them. I appreciate everything they have done to help us with some very challenging kittens that came out of the sizable cat colony that came with the property we bought earlier this year. They are very reasonably priced and get us in quickly when we have an issue.

I am EXTREMELY displeased with your office. When called to get information on costs for neutering my cat the only information given was for the actual castration stating "we can't give an exact estimate" and that may be true... But you knew VERY WELL it would cost WAY MORE than $57.75... imagine the shock when you told my grandmother this morning it was going to cost TWO HUNDRED SIXTY THREE DOLLARS! You KNOW you have to charge for sedation waste disposal etc... I am so mad right now I'm sick to my stomach. Your staff left us believing when we called it would be a little over a hundred total maybe. This is outrageous. If it's gonna cost that much TELL PEOPLE you know that's a lot of money to be out unexpectedly. We will NEVER be back. And that's after I've sung praises for y'all for YEARS. Dirty dirty manipulation.
