Without doubt the most fun I've ever had in a retail environment is this cute but complete hardware store in tiny Leonard, Texas. Hear me out. A hardware store with two cats running around for fun? Check. A stuffed coyote dangling from the ceiling whose headgear changes with the seasons? Got it. Aisle signs that let you know where the "Household Whatch-ma-call-its" and "Electrical Doo-Hickies" are? Right this way. A sign on the men's bathroom door when I visited apologetically stated "Sorry, we ran out of toilet paper", and was taped to a pack of sandpaper. Make no mistake - the people in this store have wicked senses of humor and arent afraid to use them. Humorous signs litter the various store sections. And yet these same jokesters simultaneously offer some of the best service you'll ever come across. People coming through the door are immediately asked if they need any help, and with the staff including former general contractors, they know what they're talking about. Not only that, but for a small store, they have an incredibly complete inventory, and if the prices arent as low as Lowe's or Home Depot, they're damned close. Crossroads Hardware is a model example of how a retail store can and should be run. On a scale of 1 to 10 it deserves a 12.

Had everything we needed great service, a little high on prices but understandable with it being in the location, so no real complaints. Definitely would go back if in the area.

This was my first time visit to this business as a customer and I felt right at home due to the hospitality and excellent customer service. I gladly support small businesses like this bc they tend to be down to earth folks. I will be back for sure, for my future project needs.

Had paint mixed and I wanted it darker but was told so sorry, you have to live with that. Said can't add any color to darken it. And I wanted satin, they gave me eggshell. I was not satisfied at all.

The staff is always nice and friendly! They are willing to help and if they don't have it, they usually can get it if you have a few days. It is good to have a hardware store close by when you have those one off items you need. Good inventory and quality items! Would recommend to friends and family.

I never have to wait long for help and I usually don't even have to ask for it. Small store with alot of inventory. Good people. Support your local businesses. We are growing out here, and can't forget them when the big box stores move in.

Great store! Has what we need, when we need it, especially considering we are at least 30-40 minutes from the nearest "superstore". The people who work there are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you Crossroads Hardware for being open 7 days a week. Most of us work Mon-Fri and have to work our land on the weekend and you being open certainly helps us be more productive on our property! From the Jones'.....

Man this place is awesome! They had what I needed to fix a repairs in my pipes. Also, some of the best customer service around. They even have someone who speaks spanish and he's the guy who helped me. 5 Stars for sure!

Very rude employee . I went in looking for a fitting for a propane tank to connect to a propane heater and the guy talked and acted as if I was dumb but how do you work at a hardware store and not know the small answer to my question poor service poor customer service will never spend my money there again Needless to say I didn’t spend any on this trip good riddance

I love love love Crossroads hardware! They are always very helpful and friendly. As a homeowner doing repairs and projects, I have found that they have a great stock and assortment to meet my needs. The prices are not MEGA STORE prices but still well worth the short trip. The locality, great service and competitive prices make this a great local asset to the community.

Takes too long to find out how much a bolt cost. Why do you have to have a different part number for every little nut and washer. The clerk has to go back to the washer/bolts and get the part number for each item. Then they took 10 minutes figuring out how to put it in the system. My husband spent 30 minutes and paid $1.82. His time is worth more than it took. Needs to go quicker. More streamlined. Just put the items on the scale and weigh it like Tractor Supply. Dictated by Jim. Aside from that it looks like a nice store but it just takes to long. Thanks.

I stopped in the other day to have a key made and within 1 minute of walking in the "old fashion - but the way it should be" store I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I will definitely be returning to this store. I recommend you stop by for a visit too!

Even though we didn't find what we needed during our visit, we will be back again. They have some items for sale we want/need in the near future. The employees are very helpful!! They even apologized for not having what we needed (rare, super heavy duty item) and suggested a nearby store that might carry what we needed.

This is a top notch hardware store for the country. They have almost everything you need within reason. The best customer service you could ask for, puts Home Depot to shame. I just moved to town 1 month ago and that hardware store is the only place I'll go to anymore.
