Thought about it all day. Bought hay. Thankfully I have done it here before. Went around back...nobody. My own 71 year old hard head prevents me from asking for help. So..I opened the sliding door and loaded my own hay. Went round front to show I only took what I paid for. " yep, you got it". Response from fully ironed clothes cowboy " Bob". Spected more. Last trip to Bearcreek. It's the little things, maybe just confirmation that this ain't the new normal, that keep folks coming back.

This place is awesome. There is very nice, whimsical garden items to decorate your flowers and plants. Also, beautiful wind chimes. I went to buy bird seed and ended up with a couple of additional items that I couldn't leave without. The staff is exceptionally nice and professional.

A quaint little country tack and feed store. Not as large a variety as in bigger cities however they should have what you need when your in a pinch. That being said they are a little pricier too, yet buying locally and not from some big corporation American owned store is nice.

The more I go into downtown Leonard, the more charm I see. It's a really great spot on the map, and one of the reasons is that Bear Creek Country Store is a timeless gem for livestock owners like me. Horse food, sheep food, chicken feed, pig vittles, and the really big stuff you need a trailer to carry... this place is convenient, fairly priced, and emits a warm country charm that you're not gonna find the closer you get to Dallas.

We went pass the store. Then we end up needing a trailer hitch ball so I said let's go back to that store we passed coming in. it was closed BUT we meet the employees walking out.They asked right away how can we help you. Husband end up talking to a very nice guy helped us finding the right size we need, GPS the place to send us. We thank them went on our way. The next thing we know the young man came to the store he sent us too just to make sure we foundwhat we need. He even offered to take the part of his own truck to give it to us if the store did not have what we need.

I called and asked specifically if they had rat traps so I wouldn't waste gas going for nothing. I get there and the girl shows me where they are. I only see mouse traps and she says yea they dont have rat traps. I said RAT its a country store they should know rat does not mean mouse.

Bulk feed weighing scale at Leonard is old and not correct and doesn't weight what is in the feed barrels you fill just the approximate weight in the funnel before loading. Got over charged by 60lbs for bulk feed when I stated that it was incorrect they said oh well. I will stick with locations that actually weight accurately. Everything else is good quality and clean.

Friendly staff. Big selection. Good price. They just need to provide more products for small farms and hobbyists like electric poultry netting or chicken tractors. There's a huge movement for more natural animal husbandry.

Wow. A real hometown feed store. Know me by name. Know what I need. And have helped me when I didn't know what I wanted. Stock a large quantity of items for everyday to show supplies. Very community minded as they help with the Fannin County Fair, the Riley Round Up for MS, and other local events. You'll be one of the family once you walk in the door. I highly recommend them!

I just moved to the area and believe in supporting my community so I went in yesterday and bought a small bag of dog food for my Service Dog and some other items. I had a good experience that day with the woman behind the counter even though I was fighting the onset of a severe panic attack. (I had my dog with me just in case.)Today I returned without my dog because the dog food I bought made her sick. The young lady would not give me a refund on the bag because it had been opened. The response was "we cannot resale the item after being opened." What part of made my dog sick did they miss? and how else was I supposed to know it would make her sick unless I opened the bag?So, I said don't you do write offs on situations like this? Of course the answer was no.SO DISAPPOINTED in their treatment of me that I left the FULL, OPENED bag in the middle of the floor and walked out.

This wonderful farm and ranch store is great for finding what you need to plant, when other stores don't have it. And...if Bear Creek doesn't have what you want..speak to owner, John, and he will order what you need,get it within 2 weeks and call when your order comes in.
