The store looked clean and very well organized. I love that they have lots of food, toys, treats, furniture options for cats too. We also bought 2 beautiful fish. That area was very well taken care of and the guy with all the tattoos was amazing at helping and guiding us about everything fish. Everyone was very nice and the store is really big. They even had 2 beautiful kitties for adoption! Great Petco. My New to go Petco

My son took our dog in to be groomed for his appointment at 8:45 am and the doors were locked so he waited til they opened at 9:00. The woman then tells him he was late. We don't know what happened but our dog had to stay there all day until almost closing until they finished his grooming. We don't know when he was ever taken to potty because when we picked him up he peed on the floor excessively. The worst part is how he looks now. Seriously the worst grooming session we have every experienced! Below is what he went in looking like with hair and then after the haircut. Inexcusable! He's a bernedoodle for goodness sake!

I had a very pleasant experience with my dog when I took my dog Minnie Bear for her appointment but took her to the wrong store but they took her anyway I really appreciated that so much for being that is the closest store to me I just wanted to thank you so much šŸ˜Š

The only reason this review is getting 2 stars is because the shampoo on our dog smelled really nice and they gave her a bandana for her birthday. Otherwise, this was a horrible experience. We took our dog to the dogpark to celebrate her birthday and we'd made an appointment at 2 for the groomer, and so we brought her in early (1:30). Around 4:30 we hadn't received a call back yet, but we headed to go pick her up anyway. (She's never been at a groomer longer than 2 1/2 hours). We get there around 5, and we can hear our dog totally freaking out, howling, and super distressed. She usually LOVES going to the groomer and has always been very calm. She was also very worn out from the dogpark, so she should have been very calm anyway. They told us they were behind and it'd be another 15 minutes or so. It was after 6:00 when they finished with her, and she was still damp. She was super restless all the way home. And when we got home, she was shedding fur everywhere šŸ˜ž and she is still shedding just as bad as she was before we spent over $100 to get her groomed. Extremely disappointed. I did let them know that we were pretty disappointed and they didn't even offer us a discount or anything! The girl was also super rude about it. I would NEVER treat a customer that way. We will be taking our business elsewhere. We were never treated so poorly at the other locations.

The workers are always so friendly and warm welcoming. They are attentive but not over barring and always makes sure I found what I needed when arriving at the register. Plus they ask about my pets and thatā€™s always a plus!!!

The Leander Tx Petco has many very knowledgeable people that have helped me with my questions regarding my tarantulas and I am very pleased. Because of this I always go to that location for my crickets.

I brought my dog in to be groomed. I asked the groomer to not cut his eyelashes. When I picked him up and asked if she cut his lashes, she said ā€œ I forgot.ā€ Then, when she brought him to me, I carried him out because I forgot his leash. When I went to step him into his curse at, I noticed that he didnā€™t have his collar on. So I went back in and told her that I needed his collar. She said ā€œI donā€™t have itā€œ without even looking. She tried to accuse me of taking it off before I brought him in and I told her that I did not take it off him. So she went and looked for it and came back and said nope itā€™s not here. And I think I gave her a tip. Iā€™m calling the store to talk to a manager and let him know what happened. She acted like she didnā€™t even care.

The employees were helpful and friendly. The store was being restocked, which was no problem. I was still able to navigate my way through the aisles. The cashier was really nice and friendly. I enjoyed my experience.

Went in with my child to look at/buy a bearded dragon, but after asking for help, no one was interested. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøGave them a second chance when my son decided he wanted a budgie, and the exact same thing happened. They wonā€™t get my business again.

I donā€™t recommend taking your dog to get groomed here. My dog is now totally scared of being brushed. They are too rough and impatient.

Pamela was ABSOLUTELY amazing! We brought our dog Addy to her for the first time since we recently moved to Leander. She did an incredible job and my wife said she had never seen our dog so calm when dropping her off. Pamela will groom our dog henceforth.One side note to PetCo, your system is not set up well for tipping the groomers. After paying, I realized the option wasnā€™t given and had to ask to leave one. However there should definitely be an option to leave a tip on the POS when checking out. Leaving a tip is ubiquitous with having a dog groomed.(The picture isnā€™t the greatest as she is falling asleep, but she looks perfect!)

I booked an appointment for the vet for my dog. I called the store wanting to ask questions, and no one picked the phone up. And when they did, they hung up on me. Very annoying and unprofessional not being able to get in contact with them because they refused to answer phones.

Woman in Fish Department Would Not Sell FishI took my daughter to buy some goldfish. When the woman working the section finally arrived to assist us, it was clear that she was being inconvenienced. She asked what I needed, and I replied accordingly. Then she started in with the questions about my aquarium, and I made the mistake of telling her the truth. She told me that my setup was too big and that these goldfish would grow to 8" each. And then she asked what I planned to do then, in this hypothetical future. Too which I sarcastically said that I'll let them go in the creek behind the house. So, she said that she wouldn't sell me these goldfish and returned to whatever I had initially distracted her from. Now I'm not saying that anyone shouldn't shop at PetCo. I'm just saying avoid the one in Leander. And if you must visit that location, avoid answering questions because the employee might be manipulating store protocol to get out of work.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff no matter their age! I always get what I need or if they don't have it I get a good recommendation of where to go. All of their animals are very well taken care of and their selection of products is top notch! I will definitely be getting another fish there very soon.

The store is clean and the staff are helpful but the prices in-store are way more than the prices in the app. They are always happy to price match, but you need to look up each item in the app to make sure you are getting the right price. The last item I purchased rang up at $19.99 at the register but was $8.32 in the app.

Let me tell you why I will never take my dog there again. I made a grooming appointment for Sunday, my one day off a week. The check in process is unorganized, but that's beside the point of this. At check in, we were told our rabies tag is not enough and we needed actual shot records. Fortunately, I was able to find them in the car outside. We continued check in for our dog and were asked if our dog had any health issues. I said none and Alyssa the groomer asked if our dog has a heart murmur. I made the mistake of being honest and saying yes she has a slight murmur. We were told then that they cannot groom our dog. Thanks a lot for wasting most of the afternoon of my one day off. A little more information on your website would have prevented this.

This is coming from a doordash perspective. The customer service and Petco is horrible from my experience today... I walk into the store with no one in line except one other guy who's met with a girl facing her back to him while she finishes the task that could have waited. I'm standing to the side of him the other register. After she slowly finishes what she's doing she goes on to help the customer while I wait for the two orders that I have to pick up by the time she's finished, a line has formed behind the guy that reaches to the end of the counters. Once she finishes with the guy she then looks at me and asks is there something that she can help me with? I say yes. I'm waiting to pick up in order and she tells me oh what you have to get in line to do that... A line that is now seven people long when she saw me standing there for the past 5 minutes. Waiting for her to slowly finish her task... You people better start treating DoorDashers as if they are customers standing in the store ordering the stuff themselves. Treating us like second class will no longer be acceptable. I will make an issue of it every time

Took my two Westies in for grooming, and discussed how they were to be groomed (very standard). When I picked them up, I was amazed and what a horrible job they did. Obviously, the groomer had no understanding of how to perform this standard cut. Will NEVER go back again. šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

The team here is always nice and always help us wiouth having a bad attitude. The Africa American lady that do the hair on our dog is so kind and sweet and always do a amazing job. I just wish they pay her more once she is the one doing all the dirty job. I hope the corporation recognized her hard work and raise her salary because she do deserve
