I came here to get a water test for my fish tank and the employee said. "Wow, man. Your nitrate levels are way high"I explained it was a new tank and I had a few fish in there, but not many. The employee replied with: "I don't know how they are not dead yet".Instead of recommending something to help bring the nitrate levels down, She just said do a water change. I ended up at another Petco and they recommended multiple products which I purchased and my nitrate levels have gone down.They also recommended steps to avoid it and point it out that my tap water may have been the culprit for the nitrites.Will be going to a different petco from now on. My tap water ended up naturally having nitrites in them and the other store helped save my fish. The other encounter with a different female employee working the fish department at your petco was also talking with a male employee non stop and after standing next to them for a good 5 minutes I finally interrupted and asked for help. Would have asked for help sooner if she wasn't talking without even stopping to breathe to the other employee.

Services are good as well as merchandise but the prices are way over priced. Petco could be more customer friendly from a financial point of view. Recommend that you price compare

I really wanted to start shopping here regularly but I keep bringing home items with moth larvae infested in the product. This isn’t happening with anything else in my home or an issue with any other product that I bring home from other local pet supply stores.

MaKayla at the check out counter is just not a good face for customer service. She never looked at me once. Never greeted me when I came up to the counter and didn’t ask me if I need help with anything, nothing… I was trying to purchase some things that were on sale and since it was an inconvenience to her, she yelled across the store to get the managers attention, so he could override the purchases. Then when the purchase was done, she didn’t put anything in a bag, so I reached over the counter to get a bag myself and that’s when she informs me that they no longer just give bags, that they cost 10 cents. (Mind you, that’s the first time she looks me in the eyes.) So, I just dropped the bag at her feet and gathered my stuff into my hands to leave.. just rude.

I have been a loyal customer of Petco since I moved down from Arlington last September I constantly have a problem with not getting my purchases refunds back the points I’m referring to the points and I have called Petco nobody can help me I go to Petco which I did today and spend a lot of money and nobody could help me. I’m tired of nobody being able to help me. I’m tired of not getting my my rewards back as of today. This was the last time that I will shop at Petco Will never shop there again. I will never recommend them to anyone and I will find another either Petsmart or Petsmart anything but Petco even the managers couldn’t help me are the people on the phone couldn’t help me.

This Petco used to have decent saltwater tanks. I went last night and saw about 5 clown fish dead. Clowns are the easiest fish to care for.A sailfin tang breathing hard and laying on the sand bed about to die. Probably from high ammonia letting all the dead fish decompose in the tanks. Plenty of others fish dead just rotting in the tanks. Most of the saltwater fish looked sickly and malnourished.They had a sign saying they do returns on freshwater fish, but don’t do returns on saltwater fish because they’re delicate and need experts care. They’re contradicting themselves, when they aren’t “experts”.Doesn’t make sense to me that they don’t do returns with saltwater fish, but they do with freshwater.I asked for a 50% discount for a Scopas tang that was malnourished and had black ich. The associate said they couldn’t do discounts on fish. If the fish was healthy I would buy full price, but with it sick and possibly going to die. Then I couldn’t return it at least give a discount. It’s going to die in their tank without proper treatment anyways.Poor tanks from this past week

The groomers here are awesome! My dog loves getting his nails done here. They are great with him. He is just as happy as can be, whereas he is terrified if we try it at home.

This was the place for all my pets' needs, but no more. I was shopping and bought a bunch of toys, food, and miscellaneous items. I asked for a bag to carry all the items, and they said they would have to charge me .10 for each bag. They said it was company policy since February. I can't believe the audacity to charge for a bag when you are buying and patronizing the store. Well, I will take my business elsewhere and let everyone know to go elsewhere. That's the most ridiculous thing I have heard of never again.

I booked my dog for a haircut & bath here since my usual location in Pearland was booked out. Everything was okay at check in . About 30-45 min later I get a call from the groomer saying she was unable to complete the service due to “behavioral issues”. I NEVER had any complaints at any other location until today. My 1yr old dog is just very playful and energetic so I don’t understand how he was misbehaving. The groomer had started the service of cutting his hair so when me and my husband went to pick him up he was shaved and spotted he looks insane! This was very inconvenient for us because not only is our dog half shaved but now we have to find a place that can take him soon to finish the service, since we have a trip coming up. And now she put some sort of blockage on our account so no other Petco can take him in anymore. This is frustrating!! If the groomer knew she wasn’t going to be able to do the full service then DON’T DO IT AT ALL! Now I have an ugly dog with no one able to get him in until mid week. Take your grooming services somewhere else!!

I came in 15 minutes before closing to get a few inch long fish for a paludarium I’ve been working on. I did not know what kind of fish I wanted to get but the young man who helped me did a great job.

Everything online shows they close at 9PM. Drove over to get a couple things I needed last minute for my dogs. Doors locked up at 8:45 PM. 3 cars in the parking lot. Lights on inside. Guess they just wanted to close up shop early, or their hours are wrong online. Either way that's poor customer service in my book. Drove over here for no reason.

Stop trying to push me to buy your over expensive heart worm meds, is every employee on commission? All they care about is selling heartworm meds, this place sucks in general, nice salesman...i mean employees...Old lady at groomer was extremely rude. Blue haired he she , they, whatever was equally as rude by our inquiry for service. Never going back unless I need chew toys.

Jennifer, the dog trainer, is absolutely amazing! We've gone through the first two levels of training with our young aussie and it made all the difference in the world. The groomers do well with both of our dogs when we need and the newer vet office that opened up inside has served us well for their annual visits/shots.

Staff is knowledgable and helpful. They helped me get my fish and I got most everything in my tank from here. The girl from the aquatic department was super helpful and was passionate about what she did. She help talk me through preping my tank before I got my fish and they seem to be doing great!

The treat bar is infested with moths. You can see them flying around. Twice I have purchased treats & twice I have brought home moth larvae. The last time I went, I asked how long the treats had been out, & was told that they had just been changed & were fresh. I filled a cellophane bag, brought it home & transferred it to a ziplock baggie. After 2 days, it has moth larvae crawling in it. Yuck!

Kids picked out 4 new fish for their aquarium. Exactly what they wanted.. and got doggy treats too!Edit: Don't intriduce so many fish at once. 2 of them died because it rose the nitrate levels too high :(

Having had almost one year of monthly grooming at this facility, not issues at all. Friendly staff at grooming counter and checkout counter.Roving staff doesn’t seem particularly engaged but, no issues with that. I’m not shy and will engage if I’m seeking something I can’t find.All in all a good experience at this location.

I was skeptical that we would get good information about setting up new fish tanks (fresh and saltwater), but I was pleasantly surprised. Sebastian was more than knowledgeable and helpful. As a matter of fact, I cannot recall a better customer service experience anywhere. Whatever he is paid is not enough.
