The Cherry on Top in Lampasas is a great ice cream shop in the small town. It’s a cool combo of ice cream and ceramic painting. The kids in there were loving it! I also enjoyed the ice cream flavors. I want to take family here; they’ll love it! I’ll be back.

This charming old-time ice cream parlor offers all kinds of treats. Parking is on the street or small lot next door. You can indulge your sweet tooth inside with a/c..... or outdoors at a table. Select from a wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors and sundaes, shakes, floats, cones, etc... including shaved ice. Staff are friendly and prompt, no table service...serve yourself at the counter. Restroom is available.For those inclined to arts and crafts, they also provide the material so you can create your own work of art. They sell clay forms for you to paint with a huge variety of glazes. Then they will fire the piece and you can get it a few days later. Fun for all, especially kids. Prices vary.

what a great place to go to for some ice cream and do arts and crafts at the same time. i would love to see cherry on top branch out, i dont really enjoy the drive to lampasas to get it, but it is totally worth it once i get there.negatives: wish they wore gloves to handle food items and hair nets seeing as they have to really shove their head in the place where all the ice cream is held.

The cutest ice cream shop! We had a sweet girls' day out last weekend, with ice cream treats, and my daughter painted a ceramic piece. Super fun! A ton of ceramics and paint to look through, and if you aren't local, they'll mail your pottery to you.The Cherry on Top has so many ice cream flavors to choose from, including Dairy-free and no sugar options, which we appreciated so much! We had a great time! 🍨💞

We used to love going here (been going for years) but, with recent staff changes, the portion size used to be impressive and now it’s baby scoops. I brought it to the attention of the girl who was making the orders, and she was argumentative and said that she’s been at this job for a long time, (even though I’ve never seen her before) and told me that this is how she was trained. I don’t believe it. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the money anymore to patronize.

Perfect spot for an afternoon of ice cream and creativity! Ample parking next to the building, reasonable prices on their pieces, the turnaround time for your painted piece is great. The staff was very sweet and so patient with indecisive little ones. The only thing that would make this place any better would be a few more options of lactose free ice cream.

We just moved back to the area an only been here a lil over a month now. And have been a few times already! Great ice cream (love Hershey's) and atmosphere. Love the ideathat kids or adults can paint pottery too. We tell everyone we know about it! Definitely a family favorite! 🍦🍨🍧

The cutest little shop! Went in today with a couple of my best friends and painted! We loved the fun atmosphere, the sweetest owner, and the great wide variety of flavors of ice cream. Will definitely be coming back for date nights and ladies night outs.

We love going to visit Amanda and eat delicious ice cream when we get the chance! This place is the cutest and they do a lot more than just ice cream! Lots of desserts to choose from and sweet things, plus the pottery painting is super fun for a date with your kiddo! Amanda also plans lovely little camps for the kiddos during summer or school holidays where they get to be crafty and have a good time! We love Cherry on Top!

Stopped in because of a great review I saw on my local fb group a few towns away. Granddaughter and I had a fabulous time eating ice cream and painting! The staff were just wonderful. Definitely worth the drive!! Easy parking.

In town for the pool and wanted some small town ice cream to cool down after a hot summer day. I'm so glad we found this place. SO CUTE!! Guy behind the counter was very welcoming and owner was so inviting and kind. The concept of painting while enjoying a cool treat is awesome.
