Unsatisfactory Weapons Suppressor Buying ExperienceI bought a suppressor from the Gun shop. It’s a rather involved process requiring special government applications. The entire process, from application to suppressor pickup was disappointing. When I went to pickup the suppressor I was handed the closed box “here you go”. Didn’t offer to show me what I had purchased. I opened the box and asked a few basic questions. To sum up the help I got was “I don’t know…” there was no offer to research anything, they just told me to call the Silencer Shop.I was the only one in the shop, as far as I could tell they weren’t đoing anything. Certainly not too busy to at least “act” like they were interested.I had heard the government was taking up to a year to approve suppressors. They took only a week for mine! Five Star review for the ATF! But it took the gun shop over 2 months to submit the electronic form! As I was leaving they told me I was lucky it only took 2.5 months to get my suppressor…But if the gun shop was as efficient as the government I would have my suppressor in 2 weeks!I would recommend if anyone is in the market for a suppressor use another gun shop, there are several in the general area.

Love this place, great for clothing, boots and ammo. Also great selection of guns and bows. Oh and all of your Livestock and hunting needs. We can't drive by this place without stopping in!

Nice and very helpful employees. Really clean store and good layout. Their pricing was half average and half ridiculous. But a wide variety of good products for home, farm, hunting, gifts, etc.

I bought several round bales from them last season. As i used it , I realized that it was full of debris - pieces of barbed wire, roofing shingles, pipe, plastic, limbs. In short, it was VERY SUBSTANDARD hay.I don't know where they get their hay from, but they need to monitor the quality of the hay they are receiving more carefully !!I am totally disappointed in Hoffpauir Feed, as I have bought hay from them before this and it was decent quality.

Pricey is an understatement.After managing the largest western wear and feed store in the state (another state, not Texas) for over a year, I have an idea of what products cost and what markups are reasonable. This store seems to want to make their daily quota on each and every customer. Or they have a misconception that everyone in Texas has an oil well in their back yard.When local merchants try this approach to retail sales, it's no wonder on-line shopping is growing as fast as it is.Can I recommend this place? Only if you have no other options and can afford to pay through the nose.

Best place in the whole area to shop for firearms! Good prices and a military discount. The selection of new firearms is great but they frequently have surprise gemstones in their used weapons as well. The archery shop is cool to explore too. Knowledgeable friendly staff in all parts of the store.

quick and easy customer service. not super stoked that no one is adhering to the mask thing, but understand how it's become a political thing at this point over anything else. will keep returning because its convenient, affordable, available, and honestly the customer service is good so it's not like someone has been rude to me.

I stop in every few weeks on my way through Lampasas to pick up feed for some family horses further north. They have a great selection of clothing, boots, hats and gifts and a much better price on feed than where I live. I have been wearing a mask since last March when covid hit and I have continued wearing one because I was going through chemo and had a compromised immune system. I have never seen an employee at Hoffpauir's wear a mask. I might have missed some, since I only come in every couple of weeks. I went in a couple of weeks ago, wearing my mask and got such a weird look from the staff at the counter. I realize I am not a regular and I know what living in a small town is like. I grew up in one. I don't have to explain myself or why I wear a mask and I don't expect to be judged by others. I thought the cashier who rang up my order was going to laugh out loud. I felt very unwelcome and will go to the other feed store downtown from now on.

My favorite store on the planet. I never pass through Lampasas without stopping. This is a throw back to the general stores I grew up on. Super friendly staff and something for everyone! Do not drive past this place! It is always worth the stop!

I had my AR-15 upper and lower sent to them from Aero Precision because the FFL transfer fee was the lowest in town, The staff is impressively knowledgeable and beyond friendly even though they made no money off of me to speak of. The selection they have is beyond impressive and service priceless, needless to say they have made a customer for life!

I bought hay from them this winter and they worked very hard to always have the product available. They kept their price steady for the full season and the hay was very good quality. Price and quality were better than I could find from other sources. Thanks for doing business with integrity.

I’d been entertaining the idea of getting into archery for a hot minute. After picking Jason’s (I think that was his name. Forgive me for being horrible with names) brain for a bit, he helped me pick out a bow. He then picked out an arrow and spent a good while watching me shoot at a target. It basically seemed to be a sort of coaching lesson but, as it turns out, he was also figuring out what was going to be right for me in regards to draw weight, draw length, arrow spine, etc.He eyeballed it. All of it. I later on went to buy some more arrows from another shop closer to home, and it turns out that all the measurements he eyeballed were spot on. To understate it, the guys at Hoff’s are extremely good at what they do. I won’t hesitate to come back whenever I can.

Lee, I hope you read these reviews. Let me start by saying this is not for the store, dock or their people, have been buying feed from you for years and they are all 5 stars. This review Is for the gun shop. I had a 30/06 I wanted to trade in. Was carrying it in, will admit I wasn't giving much thought as to how I was carrying it. The guy at the gun shop saw me coming and could have said "watch where you point that thing. However, waited until I was up to him, grabbed the rifle out of my hands and said" Let me have that, you have pointed it to that guy twice already". The guy was the S&W salesman, I guess he was trying to impress, might have impressed him, sure as hell didn't impress me. Hope you see this, thanks for letting me vent.Dennis RennerHave that property next to the Fudge place.

Awful nice people. I had a piece of equipment in my truck that I needed to transfer to another truck that I met in Lampasas. I thought I could slide the piece from one truck to the other, but it was way too heavy. Called and talked to Jason and he gladly volunteered their forklift to transfer the piece. Lifesaver!!

Aaron and the team in Hoffy’s archery shop were fantastic in advising me on my new bow purchase. I had researched all the flagship bows and wanted to go with what fit and felt best for me (and my wallet). I tried Hoyt, PSE, Matthews, and Bowtech all side-by-side. I narrowed down to two bows and made my selection. Over the next hour the team had me accessorized (with great guidance and advice) and I kid you not had me shooting x’s repeatedly before I left the shop. I also picked up some great coaching and tips that I am working on and will help me get better. Of course I came home and have been shooting like crazy and still hitting dead center way more than with my old setup. I settled with the Matthews and am appreciative of the fantastic setup!
