This place is small, much like the office I grew up taking my animals to.Dr. Moyer is capable and knowledgeable and is clearly comfortable around animals.He himself is respectful but not friendly. He's very businesslike, direct, no nonsense.They try to keep their prices modest and seem to try to avoid unnecessary treatment for pets.The office staff are friendly, responsive, and flexible.*They can do labs on-site. (Some labs anyway. )

Had my dog’s first and last appointment. My girl was not treated like a living being and instead like a burden. Doc didn’t even bother introducing himself and petting her to reassure her, he just went straight to poking and prodding. I could understand his frustration with taking her blood because she has never had her blood drawn and it involve touching her paw which she doesn’t like but he immediately stated that he was going to take her to the back so that there would be “less distraction”. It all happened so fast I couldn’t even react before they took her away. She came back with her tail between her legs and begging this vet for “forgiveness” and her eyes were very blood shot. The vaccines were also rough, she has never had an issue with vaccines up until now and it was definitely because she was scared. My girl is 90 pounds, you can handle her roughly and be fine but his handling of her was too rough. I feel like things could have gone better if he simply establish a friendly relationship to her and showed actual love and care to animals. Terrible bedside manner and doesn’t respect that dogs are living beings that experience fear and just need care. Please do better.

Took our 10 year old pug in a couple of weeks ago for his arthritis and again yesterday for an eye issue that old cuss bit him both times and acted a dang fool but Doc never changed his demeanor straight forward and as a matter of fact and my old dog is already better than he was . I'm sure this type of care doesn't sit well with some because these are our babies but I appreciate him taking care of mine even when they act crazy and it's mostly our fault they are there. 14 year old has an appointment today hopefully he keeps he's teeth to himself..

The receptionist was very good at her job, was friendly and greeted us. Dr. Moyer was very professional and thorough in his exam. I felt like my cat was being well taken care of.

We have been to many vets in the area we used Aztec in harker heights for many years but when he sold out ! It was not the same! So we searched around . It took some time but when we found this vet we new we found our new home ! He is not a talker but he truly has emotions for the animals and that is the most important part! The staff is very caring for our fur babies as well ! Prices are more than reasonable.

I am very hurt and disappointed by this facility. My husband took our dog for his first visit. He enjoyed the straightforwardness of the team. I went back with him the second time and was not impressed. I then took our cat without him. She was being hostile but the vet was so rough with all 3 pounds of her. When he gave her her shots he kept taking the needle in and out of her and even though he called someone in to help him, he would not give up any control. As soon as we got her home, I noticed she was limping. This continued on for roughly a week before I called for advice or an appointment. I explained what happened to the person who answered the phone. The vet then got on the line and was very confrontational. I explained to him that even if he refused to take accountability that my cat was still hurt and I needed either advice or an appointment. We showed up today and I already knew we were going to have issues. I understand that I would not let him use the bigger towel (I brought my own) because I believed that's one of the reasons why he hurt the cat in the first place. It was too big and bulky to feel her and how rough he was being with her. He also wanted one of his people to handle her since it would be a liability if I got hurt. I told him that she's my cat and my husband told them we would sign a liability waiver. I told him that I know and I apologize for not being as accommodating as he's like but he's hurt her before and refuses to acknowledge that and I'm unwilling to let it happen again. He told us he was pulling our records and we could go somewhere else. Honestly had he had ANY type of bedside manner or accountability I would've felt differently but I truly feel that it's a defect in his mentality. An older man who cannot take any sort of criticism or being challenged.

My husband and I took our 2 small dogs to Brad He has No bedside manner. We introduced ourselves to him. I put my daschound on the table. He said “don’t bite me” and grabbed her collar and twisted it tight. Then using his hand on her neck started choking her. Not for a second or two , but for a long time. She had her mouth open trying to get a breath. Then started pooping everywhere!!!! I have never seen a person act like this and I was stunned! He finally let go. Opened the cabinet in front of him, took out a paper towel and wiped the table. She had pooped down our side of the table, down my clothes and onto the floor. I picked her up and she layer against me. She was there to see about a small cut on the pad of her foot that she was now licking all the time. Her foot was turned outward. I thought he could examine her foot this way. But he said no. He would have to have her back on the table. At that point I said no and left. I should note here that my little dog is a Service Dog for 7 years. She was trained for 2 years. She has never bitten, snapped or nipped at a single person. I am disabled and see many specialist doctors. They all tell me how well behaved she is. The most of all service dogs they have seen. Several of them pet and play with her( with permission). I would not recommend this man for any animal.

The staff is professional and friendly. The vet is very caring an attentive. We had used a vet in Copperas Cove but our cat wasn't improving after 1 visit our cat has shown great improvement. We are very satisfied an 😊 happy.

What also impressed me was his behavior with and focus on Biscuit. I knew he cared and wanted what was best for her.

We love Dr. Moyer! While he doesn’t have the best bedside manner, he truly cares for our dogs and that’s all that matters! We joke at the house that he is Dr. House (from the TV show House)for animals! We have now 6 dogs, but he cares for each of them like they are his own!! He’s a wonderful Vet and I recommend him to everyone!!

All though prices seem to be very affordable, friendliness and being personable doesn’t seem to be their strong suit. Doctor and staff seemed to be irritated with myself and my dog. I understand my dog can be high anxiety at times but to be rough with the dog and being mad because the dog doesn’t want you mess with its injury is unacceptable. I understand having off days but we’re all adults and we know better then to take out our frustrations on others and innocent animals at that.

Dr. Moyer is a great, down-to-Earth vet. We have been taking our animals to him for about 16 years now. My mom also takes her animals to him. The techs are friendly and they all care about your animals.

Dr. Moyer has been my vet of choice since 2003. I have always been pleased with the quality of care he has provided and even though I have moved out of the Lampasas area, I still bring my fur babies to him. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Doc explained why and i was greatful for the awesome care he recieved. When i went to pick him up staff was holding my little man and when he saw me he was happy. Dr. Moyer and his staff are great. He had to do some research on my dog's case, and he didn't charge anything for the extra time and phone calls. Prices are reasonable, and they are easy to reach by phone if you have questions.

I have to say that I LOVE Dr. Moyer and his staff. Our dog has gotten the best care here and for such affordable pricing. In the last year, she's had several different issues, and I had a friend recommend Animal Health Center of Lampasas to me. I live in Killeen, and it is definitely worth the 35 minute drive for the wonderful care and reasonable cost. Dr. Moyer always explains the possible concerns and then goes into which one he believes it is and why. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else for health problems!

This place is all about quality care for your animals. This is my second year with them. I have a 90 lb GS mix. Dr. Moyer and Staff take their time with your animal. My dog was bitten by a venemous snake at a nearby state park. After calling multiple veterinary clinics, no one would accept her without an appointment (despite the circumstances). And then I called this amazing clinic and they took her in within the hour. If it wasn’t for this clinic my dog would probably not have survived this. Thank you so much for everything.

What matters here is my dogs love the staff. Neither one of my dogs mind going to the vet. Doc & his staff are very gentle & loving. And you don't get charged a fortune for seeing the vet.

I've been taking my pets to see Dr. Moyer and his staff for years.  He was recommended to me by a friend who has also been taking her dog to see him since he was a puppy...now nearly 10 years old.  There is not enough to be said about finding a vet that you can trust with your furry friends.  My pets have seen him for routine/yearly checkups and vaccinations, and more concerning situations - tooth abscess, nausea/vomiting, lack of appetite.  Most recently, my cat had to stay overnight for observation after having eaten - lord only knows what?!  He is compassionate towards my animals, practical, and an honest business man.  I trust his judgement and would recommend him to any of my friends who are looking for a good vet.  Also, his vet techs (Carly and Nina), are the sweetest!
