I was searching for a healthy food option for my puppy at Petco. A young man, working with Petco, took the time to talk with me about food options. He recommended a grain free beef and pea recipe and talked to me about the nutritional value of this food. She loves it! Her coat is shiny and she gets very excited about her meals. Petco hires people who are genuinely interested in the health and well being of our pets.

My dogs have been groomed here a couple of times. The prices are way higher than they advertise for. They also wanted to charge me a rent fee after my dogs were done if they weren’t picked up in 30 minutes because they overbooked themselves. That’s not my fault. I usually pick them up within the 2 hours timeframe because I’m working. When I told them it’s going to take longer than 30 minutes the lady said “that’s not going to work for us. Your dogs are taking up too much space and we are too busy to keep them.” And then they expect a tip. It’s just so frustrating. Be consistent and stop adding on all these fees.

Evan was so helpful at the grooming desk. She called another store to get our dogs rabies shot info so we couldget a walk-in nail trimming. The groomer was so nice and said our dog was well behaved and a pleasure and the trainer helped us find calming treats. Great customer service that you don’t see in many places anymore. Kudos!

My wife is determined to have fish, but she doesn't want to buy them online, and she wants "pretty" fish. So, that often means I'm traveling with her to pet stores for no reason. However, at Petco, we encountered some knowledgeable employees and a nice variety of rainbow shrimp. Additionally, she was able to get some pretty guppies. I'm very happy with them. I think there's an opportunity for this store to expand upon their fish section.

While I was in the store experience was good. Great customer service at the time of checkout. This would have been a 5 star but the price online was much lower than the price in-store by $20. I should have ordered online and just picked it up. The store should have honored what was advertised online as well.

I got my 3 rats, Addax, Uno and OJ, from this place. The people helping us were very sweet, and they were gentle with my animals when I bought them. Rats were timid, but they never, ever bit anybody, not even on the ride home. I got them back in February, and they've socialized nicely! They've never gotten sick, nor have they had temperament issues. Great store!! Employee even helped me get one of the items I really needed that the rats had in their cage but I couldn't find in the store. I plan to get more stuff from them, and more rats soon!!

The staff are always helpful. They price match, which is amazing. And our 1 year old rat terrier is currently in the puppy training classes and Judith the trainer is so knowledgeable and friendly. We'd recommend the class to anyone with a dog who needs a little help. We've learned so much and look forward to having the know-how to continue the good behaviors in us and our fur baby.

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Petco - Vetco Animal Hospital, and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. They advertise a "Free First Vet Hospital Exam" for new pets, but don't be fooled. Despite the lack of any mention of a "per household" policy on their website or anywhere else, the front desk staff insisted on enforcing this arbitrary rule, leaving us baffled and frustrated for a good 30 minutes. The cherry on top? They showed zero flexibility or willingness to make things right, even when it was clear they were in the wrong. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place like the plague. Cancel your Vital Care, steer clear of Petco and Vetco altogether, and opt for reputable establishments like Kyle Animal Hospital or Banfield, where they actually value their customers and their pets. Trust me, you'll thank yourself for not subjecting your fur babies to such incompetence and indifference. Terrible service, terrible policies, just an all-around terrible experience. DO BETTER!

Found some of the things I was looking for but overall disappointed with the quality of food options they carry for dogs.The employee that helped me was outstanding and knowledgeable and had beautiful hair. She led me to the exact product I asked about without thinking twice. She should be paid more for being such an asset to the store.

Always love Petco. Cain was polite and awesome to chat with while we were checking out. The manager was awesome too he knew his stuff and interacted with his staff very well. Been here multiple times and will continue to return just to see these employees!

I was helped by the nicest person, Daniella aka Dani. She was beyond helpful and her personality was so pleasant. She went out of her way to make sure that I found what I was looking for and made sure to explain that I can come back and return it in 30 days, if the product isn't right. I appreciate her efforts, she truly is a gem!Added note: I had to go back and exchange the muzzle I bought. Note to others, be sure to go to the checkout with any of your items you want to return or exhange, before you look for your replacement. Reason, I had a small issue with a different employee, he thought I wasn't being honest when I was. I try to leave positive reviews but this I felt a need to share. He was very polite, willing to listen but still didn't believe me. I went in to return the item I had already purchased hours before with the receipt, and to exchange it for a bigger size muzzle. When I was in the store comparing my originally purchased item, I simply forgot where I placed it, because I was in a hurry. When I was ready to checkout, realized that I had misplaced the originally purchased item I walked in with and I asked him may I go find it; to then countinue the transaction. After finding it I noticed that he was then resistant to continue. I had to then explain all of the above to him, to which he was getting noticeably uncomfortable; he then was hesitant and wouldn't do the return and exchange. I had to insist that he check their cameras and ask the young woman Dani, who again went above and beyond to confirm that I in fact was telling the truth and was able to then return the original item and exchange it for the larger size. My dog now has his nails clipped and I was again grateful for Dani's help and consideration. However, having that discussion with the young man and he not believing me, made me feel like he thought I was stealing when I was not. Though I was able to make the exchange, to which I am grateful for. I will not be going back to this particular Petco. I have never been accused of being a theif and that is how I felt walking out. The staff is nice and the customer care is outstanding but be sure to bring your returns right to the checkout to avoid a similar experience as mine.

Dulce is the best. My dog bites his nails but doesn’t trust me to cut them, odd but Dulce gets the short enough that is worth the cost of the mini grooming. If I do full grooming, Dulce makes sure my dog smells so good and is so soft. I bathe my dog at home but it’s so much better when he goes to Petco Spa.He’s also annoying and has hyperactivity whenever he’s not at home but they don’t complain and he’s always excited to go in.

Man this place has really gone down hill. There's barely anything in the store, and it seems really run down. The fish tanks were filthy and disgusting, it looked like they were just letting the fish die out as there were many dead ones. It was kind of sad actually. The only employees we saw were goofing off hiding in the back.

We went into Petco to pickup a few large bags of dog food. Petco had no shopping carts when we looked outside, in the shopping cart holder and when we asked one of the lady's that worked there she said "oh haha, we just always use Targets shopping carts". So sure enough we look around and all the customers are using Targets shopping carts and so are the Petco employees.. Now.. Target isn't next door, it's 10 stores down, so they are going out of the way to take these carts. I've been to Petco Park, these people have lots of money. But steeling carts? Common.. really?

Worst retail experience ever. @petco charged me an additional $8.66 on one bag of dog food for not signing up for their membership program. I refused out of principle and to get out of that foul smelling overstimulating mess of an experience. What a gross place. Short Petco and Buy Amazon.

Horrible service at the Salon. Do a favor to your fur baby and don't let them suffer. Their keep them in crates in an inhumane room with all AC vents and pipes. No water to drink.

A dog with papers from Spain legally in the US they did not want to give her cleaning service that is called racism!!! I didn't know it existed in dogs!!! I definitely do not recommend this store for hair service.

Do not take your dog here to get groomed. This is the worse place ever and they charge a ridiculous amount for the quality of grooming. My Japanese chin had patches in her coat. They literally shaved her bald down to her skin! Worse experience ever and I was charged $79 dollars!
