Had a great time! We’ve been there twice and it’s exactly what a range should be: safe, local, and with lanes available! I appreciate it’s a small business and I’ve spoken to the owner. I think it’s crazy that any reviews complain about rudeness. Give respect and you’ll get it! I’m going back and bringing a group of friends for LTC classes next! This is the least expensive place I’ve found and it’s so conveniently close!

I was somewhat surprised with this indoor range from what I read from the other reviews. My friend and I had a great experience with shooting and with talking with the employees. Next time I come back to Dallas I will come back again.

The range is clean and fairly modernized with good security camera coverage and key card access required to open the doors to the shooting range. The sign-in process was also electronic which I appreciate.The shooting bays were spacious and in good shape with digital target controls. The temperature was comfortable. I am not sure about the air handlers though as at one point the range was visibly smoky from people shooting.The staff was polite and helpful. They even went as far as to remind us to wash out hands after shooting.They do inspect all bags and guns and run a magnet over ammo so no AP is allowed.I brought my own targets and eye/ear protection so I can’t comment on that aspect or pricing or quality

Total 180 from what I thought about this place the last year I visited.My father was in town so I wanted to show him the gun range I had took a lot of my friends to last year.We stepped inside with our gun bags and gear and looked around. Found a gentleman sitting down watching TV. He rudely comments to us that they do not allow rifles to be shot at the range as, (if we had intentions to shoot up all his equipment on the lanes). I asked why they don't allow rifles and if that was a new rule. I told him I had been here last year and shot a variety of them. Then he went into detail about a group of guys who came in and totally took advantage and destroyed a bunch of the owners stuff so he said he made a new rule and said no more. If we are planning on shooting the same ammo that a hand gun would use thats ok. However it was already too late. Very unprofessional the way he approached us and condescending so we left. We had our guns for 22 and asked my father if he wanted to stay atleast to shoot this and he got the same feeling. We did not want to be there anymore.Won't be back and telling all my friends and family.

Won’t be coming back here. I’ve been here a couple times, and every time I come the bald guy goes on a rant about how somebody came in and broke the rules, and how that must mean that everyone that comes in is going to break the rules. Guilty until proven innocent seems to be the motto here.

Paid $95 to get a gun cleaned, they charged my credit card $109.25. The credit card asked for proof and Top Gun sent a payment receipt showing $95 was the charge and $14.25 was a tip. My hand receipt shows I signed for $95. They went back in and changed the price without my consent to $109.25. If you pay with a card you better keep an eye on cause they will change it. My bank did reach out to the company to get proof of the charge in January when this happened and a copy of a receipt setting showing the two charges was given to my bank. Yes, the company was aware of the charges and what was going on.

Warning this is a long one. Worst AR15 money could buy! The original firearm was way over price with all plastic lower parts. Went to remove the flash hider and came off without pressure. I put my own bcg in because the original one looked like it was machined by a blind man. After the first day at the range I could tell it was over gassed and the castle nut almost fell off. The second time I was having stove pipe jams and after that I decided to take it to a gunsmith. Turns out they actually drill out the gas port on an already cheap barrel (the man working there said himself when I asked). Other things wrong with the build were the nut holding the barrel on was loose, the buffer spring was not the right size, and the over gassing destroyed the expensive bcg I installed. What makes matters worse is after the first 2 issues I called and the man kept making excuses. I went home recently and I’d gone to the store hoping to talk to the owners. Well after asking the man in front said the owners were busy and asked me to wait about 20 minutes. So after rebuilding the rifle and doubling what it was worth, I now have an amazing firearm that I feel safe shooting. I am truly disappointed in the owners and workers. I’m never one to tell people to stay away from a store, but this place isn’t worth your time or money.

Prices are terrible. And i don’t mean the normal “COVID up charge”. I’m talking about gouging hard. When the world settles down, i will be driving 3 times as far for correct prices and avoiding this place. Super friendly people though. No way someone is going to give me 1/2 of new price for a one magazine firearm with the current market the way it is. And $400 for 8 pounds of powder? That’s $180 on natchez website.

Top Dog Gun Range has a very knowledgeable staff and they are more than willing to help with each individual’s needs. They have a very fair and prompt FFL department. They usually have some ammo of various calibers on hand even with the current ammo shortage. They also have an assortment of rifles and handguns available. I would highly recommend Top Dog and if you’ve never been by their shop please do yourself a favor and stop by. There’s a good chance they might just have what you can’t find anywhere else.

I took their LTC course along with my mother-in-law in January. We both had a great time. Everyone in the shop has been so friendly every time I go in. They sent in their required forms to ensure that I took the course work them and I was able to get my LTC back quickly after I sent in all my other paperwork. It was a great experience for both myself and my MIL.

Showed up at 0950 to assist my mother with firearms practice and to possibly purchase a firearm for her. Was looking forward to supporting a local business which was somewhat close to my residence. Waited until 1040, called multiple times. No notice was placed on the doors, website, nor Facebook. All placards stated they would be open due to it being post 1000 and on a Monday. Utilized the WhatsApp number posted on the Facebook page. Finally got ahold of someone, who I assume is the owner. The individual who answered was short, disrespectful, and could not understand how I obtained his number (which was publicly posted on the Facebook page). I advised the individual we had been waiting 40 minutes and was wondering if they would be open today. Individual again was rude, but stated they would not be open as they do not have anyone to work on Mondays (which I completely understand). Plainly said, I was looking forward to this range, but will not be trying again. To whoever I spoke to, remember, often it is not what you say, but how you say it... wish yall the best.

I spent $700 for a gun, $150 for ammo and holster and took their LTC class. I was told by the owner that they would send in the paper work for me. I went by today to check on the status of my license and was treated very rude by one of the owners sons. He told m they didn't do that even though I was told they would. He was not at the class but wanted to try and tell me what I was told when he was not there. He started raising his voice to tell me it was all my fault. Rude and obnoxious cannot imagine running a business like that. Hopefully he can find a class on his to treat people sure he wouldn't pass. Will not be back and have several friends going to take the class will make sure and tell them don't buy from here.
