Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. The breakfast burritos are just plain sad. Not only that, but they are usually overcooked. It has also been a common occurrence to not have the items I have paid for. I just recently spend over $32 at this location to have one drink absolutely wrong, 2 orders of fries missing, and food that I can't let my kids eat because it was quite literally black.

So once again for the 3rd time, I decided to say something about the food I was being served.. I ordered a breakfast sausage egg cheese burrito, 3rd time got one sub par .. this thing was as small as a three year old girl. I put it back in the bag waited for v....... Car hop to get her attention. She came over , me ; can you tell the manager I work hard for my money and I expect as close as the picture on the menu board or refund my $V.. said I understand, a few minutes later she brought me the recipe with my refund.. v...... Said Chris the Manager told her to bring the receipt to show my $ was refunded back on my card.... I said , are you serious ! V...... Said yes sir.I said that's pathetic... I even told her he can just put more in it.. But Chris decided to NOT make it right buy the customer.. now that IS A Pathetic excuse of a manager that does not have your best interest on his mind. So I will be making my presents known at that particular Sonic in Kountze Tx to see if Chris' work ethic has changed for the community he Is in.. and if not he needs to go work at a feed store and toss feed and hay..

Waited a very long time for ice cream cones only to be told they can't serve them because they weren't pretty enough. Huh? (Too soft)Last time we were there they got my order wrong,but we were too tired and too far to take it back. Ordered sweet tea, got regular. Ordered cheese burger no onion no mustard with mayo, they gave mayo and mustard. No biggie but I HATE mustard lol! The bread was old and didn't taste very fresh.

Couldnt take or make the orders right, wrong sizes, Messed up drinks 2 times, Manger caught attuned when I asked why the slushy wasn't mixed right, paid for Boba and then was told they ran out, very disappointed on how this sonic is being ran

I've been to this location several times, morning crew kills it, early/mid afternoon still usually good, going toward nighttime sometimes issues but overall satisfied. Out of about 50 trips food wasnt 100% correct once.

Haven't had a bad experience here. My 1st time visiting Texas and I've had no problem with this location the few times I went here. The only issue I've had was the last day I went here the fries had way too much salt to the point I couldn't eat it 😭 pretty sure it was a mistake. We all make them. Other than that the location is chill and they are pretty quick. Also easy to find and plenty of gestation around.

This is a small town so I try so hard to support local, but this Sonic is just too inconsistent. Just this morning I paid 1.50 in extras (tomatoes, etc.) and got none of what I paid for. When they're good, they're very very good, however it's messed up orders or bad food more often than not. I'll just drive the 15 miles to go to a different town from this point on.

We were pulling the boat and not too many places have the room. After going through the drive thru, my order was accidentally mixed up. When my husband told them it was wrong I said I would eat it anyway, I was hungry! The lady came back out to let us know it would be about 2 minutes, he told her I would take it. She said ok, we will give them both to her. I said that was ok, I only needed one. She said one was going in the garbage anyway, that I might as well get it. She was really kind and wanted to make sure the rest of the order was correct.

It's Sonic. The fries are bland, how do they do that? The sandwiches are okay. The buns could be fresher, the fish they use is a good size and I like the tots. But, as I said,, it's sonic. An average fast food stop.

We were twice within a couple of days this last week. The first time there other customers that arrived after we had push our button were waited on first. We left. Second time. We had ordered a small ice cream and Dr pepper. We waited about ten minutes. Our order never arrived. We pushed the call button again. We inquired about our order. The Sonic employee stammered for a few seconds with no answer. We informed the person we were leaving do to poor service for the second time that week and left. We will not visit the Sonic drive in again!!

I ordered 2 kids meals, one with a hot dog but because they were out of buns they refused to give me the frank .... my husband suggested that they cut a foot long bun in half & that would solve the problem but they refused. They did not seem interested in customer satisfaction so they gave me my money back instead. One grandchild got their kids meal & the other got it from Dairy Queen! Next time I'll just go to Dairy Queen for both meals! The carhop was very nice & tried to be helpful but the manager refused. Too bad!

Ordered a unsweetened tea with lemon and drove off, they gave me sweet tea with lemon, I asked the girl twice. Diabetic, not happy didn't feel like turning around and going back, there good most of the time, just not this time.

I go to Sonic whenever a discount coupon turns up on the app. This Sonic has been far superior to the one I used to go to. The servers have been friendly, and I've had no trouble with my orders.The one qualm is the sudden drop-off of the pavement near the drive-thru, which also causes a large puddle to form.

03/04/2020 approx 3:20pmI arrived at sonic in Kountze and pulled into stall #20 (inside and all the way to the end). I pressed the red button, confirmed that the screen said to “please wait”, and waited. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I looked at the screen and noticed it once again said “please press red button to start your order”. So, I obliged, and pressed again, confirmed that the bottom strip turned red and asked me to wait, and proceeded to wait for another 4-1/2 minutes.After waiting nearly ten minutes, I concluded that the electronic ordering system was malfunctioning (which has been quite often since they installed the new screens) and switched to stall #19. In stall #18 was a minivan who had been parked there for quite some time, apparently facing the same dilemma as I was. After I waited another 7 minutes, that minivan pulled away with no food or drinks, and they’re screen still said “please wait” on the bottom red strip. So I concluded that maybe the WHOLE ordering system was down.It was then that I decided to go up front to the patio ordering screens, of which there are two, and of which one was out of order. I pressed the button on stall #21, yet again and waited for 2-1/2 minutes while employees stared at me. If the ordering system was down, someone should have come out to take the order.It was then (at approximately 3:45-3:50pm) that I decided to give up and go next door to Dairy Queen. As I sat down at my table I saw a truck pull up that had just been at sonic, and the couple came inside to also dine at Dairy Queen.I don’t know what happened, but this is not the sonic that I grew up eating at, or the one that I worked at fresh out of high school. The employees seem rather apathetic towards their jobs, and don’t appear to be required to even adhere to any kind of uniform standards anymore. When I was younger, it was RARE to have to wait more than sixty seconds after pressing the button to have your order taken, and the crew always did their best to get your food out in “4 minutes or less”, 100% correct, and if that didn’t happen you got a token for a free drink (unless, of course, it was a ridiculously large order, and the crew would then give you a time and usually beat it). I mean, that’s the whole idea behind the name of the company, SONIC as in, THE SPEED OF SOUND. Fast food, getting to you fast. Not 25-30 minutes of waiting before anyone even takes your order. They weren’t even getting slammed. Half of the stalls were empty (and yes, I’m counting the ones that employees park at to keep people from ordering there) and there was maybe a 2-3 car line at the drive thru. The standards at which employees used to be held have obviously fallen off the map, and as I witnessed today, this location is losing business and revenue because of it.

Well, to top it off I'm being denied unemployment from Sonic because supposedly I was fired for Inappropriate conduct. The head manager wanted me to take a partially cooked burger patty off the grill and put it back in the freezer. I told him that was against food service regulations. That's when he told me that I was not entitled to an opinion then decided to fire me......I'm guessing the waitresses get to keep thier own tips and the other employees get cut out on percentages because I never received anything extra.Anyways before that this is what I had to deal with. Kind of humorous but I was hired at the location nearly as soon as I had applied. I requested $9.00 hourly because that was the wages I was making at my previous job. I worked 4 days before being fired only to find out that they were only paying me $8.25 per hour.... While I was employed.Let's see, one of my team shift leaders informed me after I went on break that I was not allowed to remove my apron or my hat while on break. Hmm, what else? Ohh, I'm pretty sure I was the only employee that was actually wearing a hairnet in the whole kitchen.One specific employee was having to go through a 12 step process just to batter pre-sliced onions to make onion rings yet I was told I was doing wrong by dipping pre cut onion slices into a liquid batter then treating the onions with bread crumbs. I could make 12 onion rings within the time it took her to make 1. Everything that Sonic cooks is pre-battered, pre-packaged and frozen excluding the onion rings. Yet one employee will do nothing but prep onion rings throughout nearly her whole shift.I'm guessing the longer you've been at this establishment the more leeway you have to do anything you want because I fried a hotdog after one of my team shift leader came around and threw away all of the precooked food that was in the warming trays. Afterwards I was told that I was not allowed to do that yet I had just watched someone else do the same thing. They expect goal times for orders to be completed within 4 minutes yet every bit of food that I would cook my team shift leaders or managers would throw away within 30 minutes. ALONG WITH THE FACT THAT THEY TIME YOU FOR ORDER COMPLETION. YEAH!!! PURPOSELY SABOTAGING THIER EMPLOYEE'S!!!Let's see one of my team shift leaders was trying to tell me that I was not allowed to prep hamburger buns with condiments and vegetables on the food preparation counter which is situated directly in front of the vegetables and condiments. One of the employees who was considered my team shift leader directed me to clean the vent a hood above a 350° farenhiet grill without turning off the grill during rush hours. Ohh I was instructed by multiple people not to use oil on the flattop stainless steel grill.I saw one of the team shift leaders who works as a cashier at Sonic one day while at the laundry mat and he just so happened to say he doesn't see a problem with Crystal meth and how he smokes it everyday. What's sad is that specific employee. When he walks into the establishment. You can smell the reek of cigarettes on him over the smell of the food being fried or grilled. ⅒ of a ⭐
