The Animal control office is false advertising. On the website it's says they take owner relinquished cats and dogs. But when I went up there and called they told me they don't take them. I wouldn't trust them or do business with them. We experienced a terrible situation where we saw a kitten get its tail completely ripped off by a passing car and we tried to call this place and they refused to travel to help the poor kitten because it was “outside of the city limits” even though the location was in between Kountze and Lumberton. The kitten is under a concrete culvert right in front of Gateway Church at this moment. We couldn’t get it ourselves because it is in the water under there deep in the culvert and it is scared. It’s still there with its tail completely gone. It was extremely upsetting that these people won’t go help this kitten.
