An amazing facility with such caring and kind staff! They were SO appreciative of the nests we made and dropped off (made following the registered guidelines/patterns of the Wildlife Rescue Nets organization). Keep up the fantastic work!

Very kind and helpful! I brought an orphaned squirrel, and they took the baby in right away. I will be becoming a volunteer. The application is on their website if you would like to become one, too.

Wonderful facility! We dropped off 2 hatchling cardinals that were abandoned. They accepted them with open arms! A lot of good work happens here. They survive on donations. If you love animals or just want to give to a wonderful cause, please donate to this selfless organization!!

It's worth the beautiful drive to Kendalia knowing animals will get the best care possible.

This place is AMAZING for how much they really care for injured animals like birds, pigs, donkeys, horses & we even think our grandson got to pet either a wild boar (or javelina?). It's a private preserve so you can't hang around there or get a tour, but we had to take a barn swallow that banged into our back window & either broke or dislocated one wing. We were worried that it was one of the parents from the back porch nest that we think had eggs in it. They said if they could heal it we could go pick it back up so it could be back near it's home.

These folks are lifesavers. I had a Mama raccoon birth two babies in my barn. Then it appeared something violent happened inside the barn. Mama disappeared leaving two very small babies wandering aimlessly. I put both babies in a cage with a towel and my neighbor and I headed off to Kendalia to Wildlife Rescue and Rehab. At the gate, we followed directions and at a snail's pace made our way to the intake building. An employee met us and directed us to another building where we filled out paperwork and surrendered the two baby racoons. They are very efficient and caring.I should mention that I originally called our local wildlfe rescue in Wimberley and they were over capacity. They recommended Wildlife Rescue & Rehab in Kendalia and provided all the necessary information to make our trip seamless.

Amazing rescue and rehab for wildlife. If you can catch it, they can either rehab and release or humanely euthanize. Wonderful, loving staff. They could always use volunteers too!!!

Easy, fast, and friendly. They took a injured and orphaned wild bunny for us without hesitation. No call ahead needed.

I have interned in the past. My experience was pretty terrible. I worked 60 hours and only got $200 a month, although I don't know if the stipend had risen since then. The manager played favorites and took the opinion of the special person, despite other ppls opinion. The working areas were not clean and the water wasn't filtered. While I was there, most of the interns got terribly sick from the water and ringworm from the cats. One of the other interns were stabbed in the back of the leg from one of the deer antlers. The male deers get aggressive during the breeding season. The only thing they gave us to block the deer as we cleaned was a rake.

Their doors are always open to all disabled abandoned or injured wildlife critters. This rescue is truly a blessing for wildlife. Thank you for all you do!

The best place for bringing wild animals, so 5 stars. They have an amazing operation! Staff on the other hand is 1 star 💫 at the intake hospital because they are not friendly and cold, but David at the front desk is great. Hard for kids to let go of an animal or bird they found and want to make better themselves, especially if it a baby bird or animal. The staff doesnt make them feel better or tell them what a great job you did do far to bring the animal to us. What harm can they do by giving kids some kind of compliment or even a thank you. Staff there needs a class on kindness and politeness to people!

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience here I finally feel the need to get off my chest. It still keeps me up at night, and I wish I had never dropped my rescued bird off here. I, being a very concerned bird mama, (a friend found this injured baby wren on the road, knew I had raised birds many times before and got it to me) wanted to do what was in the birdies best interest since I had raised it for about two weeks but didn’t have the time to watch it sit outside and learn to catch bugs for itself or adapt to life outside its nest really. I did a lot of research in rescue places and found this one to have sparkling reviews! So I called the place, let them know what and when I was dropping off, all because my husband and I had really fallen in love with this bird & wanted it to have the best chance at life. Well, I get there, check in, fill out the paper work & the man at the front desk was really kind. We chit chatted for a bit, he told me what they rescued that day, it was a baby porcupine or something like that, & I was thought, neat! He told me where to go & then I made my way down to the building they actually keep the animals in. There I meet a girl who had the worst attitude in the world, I can’t exaggerate. She obviously didn’t care about my bird, either it wasn’t an exciting baby animal or she just didn’t care about it, but she grabbed him from me & stuck him in a SUPER TINY, AIR TIGHT Tupperware , saying she didn’t have time to get to him right now but will try to feed him later. FYI there were other people in the building, so it’s not like she was alone and drowning in work. Anyway, I was feeding him around the clock! But an airtight Tupperware?? That’s not appropriate for a baby bird, especially an opaque Tupperware, he’s going to hit the walls. I feel as though I am rambling, I am a terrible writer; but believe me, if you were there you’d understand how little this woman cared about my bird. As she was grabbing some stuff for him, I tried to make small talk because she was giving off an awkward silence and acting like a capital B, so I say, “I heard y’all got in a baby porcupine this morning, how exciting!” And like the capitol B she was, she said, “I don’t have time to show anyone around today” in the rudest manner possible. Like, I wasn’t asking her to show me around??? Just trying to fill in the awkward silence? It was just terrible. Her extremely apparent lack of care for my bird (at least pretend to care about him in front of me, you know?) and her rude demeanor she’s really turned me off rescues and “animal people” for the last time. I literally BAWLED my eyes out the hour and a half drive home. To this day, I still wish I had turned around and grabbed my little guy and left. I think I would’ve done a much better job at raising my baby wren than her, and I definitely wouldn’t have placed him in an airtight container and “tried my best to get to him” he would’ve been my priority. I hope somewhere, my little bird is still alive and doing well, but I doubt it. Rant over. Hopefully I can go back to sleep now that I’ve got that off my chest.

One of my favourite places to be!! Even the spiders are safe here. Amazing organization with caring staff and all the compassion in the world for these innocent non-human animals. Bears, monkeys, wolves, big cats and more are not on view here for our viewing pleasure, but shadily sequestered, in true sanctuary form. Thank you for this very special wild world, in Texas where animal abuse is the norm.

We called about a porcupine who had been hit by a car right before they closed for the night and they stayed open just passed closing so that we could rescue the porcupine and get him immediate medical attention. They do a wonderful job. Thank you Brittany and to all that do their part for the rescue of our precious wildlife.

My wife and I have been bringing wild animals here for years. Whether it's a stunned bird who slammed against the window or a baby squirrel who was alone and left for dead, they always take them in to make sure and try to give them a chance. We frequently drop supplies and the staff is always friendly and appreciative. Thank you all so much for the work you do!

This is the place with all the OTK steamers that's why you don't get good workers there a bunch of young kid streamers and once you see there streams you'll understand why they are the way they are everything is handed to them and they don't have to work for nothing nor do they care as long as they profit good wildlife rescue but don't expect much from people who don't know what earnings your way is and they think normal humans are trash as well so that's why they got attitude they think we are lower than them go watch one there streams you'll see

They are an awesome animal rescue place with 250 plus Acres of animal heaven/Haven. If you see or find an injured wild animal please take them there so they do not have to suffer. If possible they fix them up and return them to the wild. Can't express in words how wonder this place and organization is.
