Lots of delicious homemade food, from the bread to the cakes. Good place to get true classic German dishes. Very friendly staff and Sonya the owner is extremely welcoming to all who walk through the door. They strive to give you a great experience! You have to try the kolaches!

Kempner Brick Oven is a quaint small German style restaurant and bakery. The food that I had was pretty tasty and plentiful. Great selections of local and German beers to choose from as well. Make sure you save room for dessert, there selections of cakes and pies are fabulous for sure! It’s a great stop off place when traveling on 190. The place is clean and people are friendly.

Love, love, love! Quaint atmosphere, great food, and quality service. We were there on a Saturday at lunch. They had a steady stream of patrons, both eating in and taking out, mostly from the bakery. Don't come if you're in a hurry, you'll miss out on the atmosphere. The bakery looked amazing! If we weren't on our way out of town, we would have taken some breads and pretzels with us. Very reasonably priced and diverse german menu. Our group had the german sausage board, schnitzel, sandwich board with rye bread, and beers. You should go!

What a breath of fresh air to walk into this hidden treasure of a restaurant! I stopped by mid morning, on Wednesday to sample a pastry ( or two🤭)..and was greeted by an exceptionally nice and welcoming human being! Wow ..what a very pleasant surprise..Their selection rivaled my Austrian experience; the pastries were fresh, beautiful and ready to go....AND so delicious! As a bonus, the gentleman included a wonderful cranberry, orange pastry with a delectable, cream frosting..Yes..Hands down ..Best Wednesday morning of late.!vielen Dank.

This place was an unknown gem until my friend recommended going there for dinner. The meals tasted like real authentic German food from sausage to sauerkraut to schnitzel. The employees made us feel like family visiting. They answered our questions about the menu in depth, made great recommendations, let us know that they also served breakfast next morning, and were very polite. Loved the gift shop items they had, as well. Took the cookies because they looked delicious.

Genuinely a really pleasant experience with amazing food. I felt like I was back at my omas house with the decorations, and the food was a taste of home. Haven't been to Germany in a while but it's amazing how you can feel like you've been transported back with something like this.When I went, I got the rahm Schnitzel with garlic spaezle. My appetizer was the bean salad and for my salad I got the sauerkraut I believe.Overall a genuine 10/10 experience. Only thing I wish for is bigger portion sizes!

The service was great! We were greeted, and our hostess was very friendly and accommodating. Their bakery items are so good! My mother and I love going in for coffee and cake while we catch up! You can't beat their friendly atmosphere and service! I have been going here for years and definitely recommend this little gem of a restaurant!

Place was clean, everyone super friendly! Food was quick and yummy. I got beef tips on spatzle and he got a Supreme pizza. Both were so good but the pizza was top notch. Also they have the best selection of cakes and pies.. I took home 3 slices. So good and will def be back!

Always love stopping there. Staff is friendly and the baked goods are always fresh. They have a few German grocery goods as well like your pickles, vinegar, mustard, seasonings and candy and of course cold cuts and sausages.. The food is excellent too. We always stop on our way back home from German Food shopping from Killeen. They also host a group of German women every month, but have not been to a meeting yet. For sure stop there to get your quality food.
