I cannot say enough about how GREAT it is to have The Dollar General store. Everyone is so friendly. They have a great variety and have saved me from running into Cove or Lampasas on many occasions. I've heard of dollar General stores in other states have some produce. That would be nice too.Prayers answered about 2 plus years ago. Our Kempner Dollar General offers fresh produce, a definite time saver for sure. The staff is amazing, especially Paula.

The staff at this location are sub par, at best. They are unprofessional, low class and do not belong in retailHappened to stop by around closing time, was checking out at 9:03 pm, just 3 minutes pass closing time on a Friday night, and was given "huffs and puffs," and rude , LOW CLASS behavior. $ General do better! Hire decent people who know something about customer service. These clerks need to find other jobs! Clean out this awful staff!!

Cluttered with delivery carts but staff were pleasant and helpful. Made the ducking around and detours into jokes shared while offering plenty of assistance. Good bunch of workers.

The store had a constant flow of customers but only about one to two more added as a few would leave. It was not crowded. I was on an aisle alone every time I went to a different location in the store. At checkout, there were only two ahead of me. I would love to see them spray the counter between customers though as someone who is immunocompromised. This was my first store trip since the beginning of March.

Every time I have entered a dollar General store ours have been exceptionally clean ,well organized and well stocked . even during the worst of the pandemic. There was most always plenty of the essentials.

Staff is fantastic ,friendly and always helpful.I know all of them by name and they greet me with a friendly welcome to Dollar General.Staff takes very good care of customers the store and each other. I shop there almost every day

Normally I really like this place but on this visit I walked out with my smile upside down!So I figured that I would hit the after Christmas sale for a couple of last minute gifts that I needed for a Friday Night Christmas at my daughter's.Figuring that it would be quick and easy, I run into Dollar Genera and I come across fleece blankets buy one get one 75% off. I did notice, even with them all mixed up, that there were different prices ones but all together, only thinking wow Perfect present for 6 & 8 yr old boys. One paw patrol, one Mario, two bags & one card. Get to register and they price doesn't show as I'm watching, so I pay, go out to my ride , look at receipt and no discount!I go back in and ofcourse the new guy cashier didn't know so he got his supervisor and they inform me that the $7 ones are the ones on sale, not the $5 ones & the the supervisor points to the small print! Really! All mixed up & fine print!So much for my after Christmas Sale Savings! I'm thinking that Santa must have given her coal, lol.The upside was that the boys absolutely loved the blankets!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Bunch of thefts. New guys; Micheal; said my card would only cover 12.50; then claimed he couldn’t cancel or suspend my purchases. So my husband went to the shell across the street to pick up cash for the remaining balance. Micheal cashed out my purchase and I paid the remaining balance. Come Tuesday when my bank processed the change; the bank covered the full amount. When I returned to the store this morning the manager got nasty attitude about not giving me a refund for the cash; claiming the till was never over and told me to take it up with my bank.Flat out!!!! A bunch of thefts. Probably pocketed the cash for themselves. Definitely avoid this store because they steal from their customers and because their so incompetent they can’t even figure out how to void a transaction and credit back a card transaction.

Great staff first time to visit. They were very helpful. The food was super. I usually always have a problem when 8 get a salad. This was not an issue here. Everything was great. Will be going back. Just glad I dont live closer I would go broke going to eat there all the time. Lol

They say they are open at 8 am but it’s 8:10 and they are closed. This has happened a few times. The line can get long but the employees are nice.

I have purchased the same things that Wal-Mart has and got it cheaper. I love this dollar store and go there very often. The workers are always friendly and ready to help.

Dollar store is always convenient . They even had the spray that weather proofs clothing and shoes . I always recomend this place. Seems no matter what i happen to need they seem to carry it :)

Almost the only place to shop in Kempner but they keep it clean.. polite workers.. watch the expiration dates as it isn't being rotated well... Fast check out and go...
