Great clinic. Friendly staff. Took very good care of my dog. Explained everything. And they are more than reasonably priced for their services. My dog is now a patient for the rest of his life. Thank you VCA.

This has been the best animal hospital our family (all spread across Austin, Dallas, and Houston) has encountered. All the VCAs have their uniqueness and good reputation, but this is by far the most heartwarming, kind, thoughtful, professional and informative team we have encountered. And a special shout out to the staff on the front desk. They have always been the face of their team and continually NEVER FAIL. No matter what is thrown at them they always worked efficiently and consistently. I LOVE THIS TEAM. With 1 anxious German Shepard who struggles a lot, with 1 over-spoiled German Shepard (different than 1st) who gets upset at vet techs, and 1 Mastiff-mix who had many issues, they took care of these doggies the best no matter what.Unfortunately, I had to put down my sweet baby, Mastiff-mix last July.During the discussions of this decision I was constantly met with lots of kind and tender understanding of this terrible situation. Before and after the procedure I was given plenty of time and space to think, grieve, be with him, etc… all at my pace. This was one of the most terrible days in my life (as context; I have also had my mother pass away in my arms). I will never forget their kind presence at that moment and even before and after. They are truly heroes. Thank you to all in this team. I could never thank you all enough. In addition, I will never forget all this VCA has done for me and my family.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I normally visit the VCA at Prestonwood, but I recently moved to Katy and decided to shorten my commute by going to this location Kelliwood. I was highly disappointed! After scheduling an appointment online, I was impressed with the immediate communication verifying my pups appointment and verifying paperwork. Wonderful! Upon arrival at this vet everything went downhill. When I entered there were three ladies at the front counter. Two of them continued looking at their computers while one of them smiled and greeted me with a wonderful greeting upon entry. That’s where the two stars came from in the rating instead of zero stars. Sadly, the young lady who greeted me so nicely went to the back and the young lady at the counter checked me in. I felt like I was interrupting her instead of her helping me. My dog and I were taken to an exam room where a gentleman appeared with a form. My dog was only due for one vaccine, Bordatella. The form he brought me had a list of vaccines one of which was due, and the others recommended. He acknowledged that the recommended vaccines were not given at the last appointment at the Prestonwood location but said my dog she get them. After looking at the prices in addition to the fact that my original location in Prestonwood, never offered them as required, I nicely declined and asked for just the Bordatella. The gentleman proceeded to write decline next to each one and had me initial. Then he came back with another form that says in so many words that I declined those optional vaccines and they are not responsible for my dog if anything happens to him including death. I found this to be a tactic to force me through guilt to give in and pay for those additional high priced optional vaccines. Once I signed the form acknowledging that I declined he took my dog out of the exam room into a different area to take his temperature and to administer the Bordatella. I was highly confused and nervous that my dog had to be taken out of the exam room for this to be done instead of doing it in the exam room within my presence. After he brought my dog back I head the same guy talking to someone about my decision to not purchase the additional services they were offering. Shortly after the vet came in and examined my dog and also gave additional recommendations all of which cost more money. After I declined he finished the exam and told me my dog looked fine. He was nice but I felt like he was looking for something to add cost to my visit. I paid $155 for an exam and one vaccine. I could have had a mobile vet come to the house and complete the same services and more for $109. I have to agree with some of the other reviews. I feel this location is solely interested in money and all the ways they can guilt you or convince you to spend more money. I felt like I was being hustled at every corner instead of having my dog checked and vaccinated. I will never come back to this location. I would rather take the longer commute to my original location VCA Prestonwood. I was extremely disappointed in this visit. If I may I would like to suggest something to the owner; I understand businesses have to make money but when you treat your customers with love, care, and attentiveness the money will follow. But when you treat your business like a sales pitch, adding costs wherever you can, you run people away and lose money. I truly hope you review all of your reviews and maybe adjust some things in house for a better experience for future customers. I also wouldn’t recommend taking someone’s pet out of the exam room to administer services where owners cannot see what you are doing to their pets. Especially after they just declined additional optional services you suggested. Best of luck to you. Thanks

I have to say at first did not have a good vibe felt that because I had a rescue and the 2 wk follow up was free they just saw my dog patted him on head and sent us on our way. Here, to say not the case, the follow-up and care they give was great the staff is extremely friendly and very gentle with the dogs. I got my puppy in Aug and he still had some kennel cough they gave me medication and followed up checking on him the next day. I was also sent home with the remaining medication for the rest of the yr to give him at no cost. During his 2nd follow-up, they recommended shots that were not part of what the SPCA gives. I did not have to take the shots it was just a recommendation they did not pressure me into any package (needless to say, I did the shots), which was very reasonable. After getting home my puppy was just lying there, I got worried and emailed them a picture, and they responded right away, letting me know that was normal. Then, followed up again the next day, making sure all was ok. The follow up is what I love. They will send text or emails. I also asked about DNA testing, and the VET was like we do it, but u can get a kit off Amazon, and it is cheaper...like, wow!!! Vet who is not about just making money and will tell u other options that is cheaper LOVE IT!!!! I told my son to bring his dog to VCA, I highly recommend VCA Kelliwood.

The ladies at the desk are nice and very helpful. The vet (Dr. Lee) didn’t have very thorough knowledge of his findings and handed me printouts of websites he had clearly googled (because we found the same websites when we googled the symptoms). He also seemed scared to touch my dog when I asked him to feel a lump I had found. Their prices have increased by $35 since I started going there. I’ve never had any serious concerns about my dogs, so I’ve always gone for small things like hotspots and it’s been fine, but now that there are more serious issues, I’ll be finding a new vet.

So very thankful a friend referred me to VCA many yrs ago. The staff are always friendly, welcoming & eager to help in anyway. They took excellent care of my fur baby right up until the end of her 18.5yrs of life. Feeling helpless & heartbroken near the end, Dr. Tran cried with me when I broke down in her office. A week after my girl’s passing, I get the most thoughtful card in the mail from the wonderful staff at VCA. Thank you all so much for everything. When I have the heart to get another pet, I’ll be back! 🐾❤️

I love this clinic. The doctors are wonderful and the support staff is great. I have two Dogs and each time they are treated I get a follow up call or text the next day from the doctor checking up on them or asking if I have any questions.

Brought my dog here after adopting her from the SPCA as they gave me a free visit here (I ended up leaving with a $70 bill for vaccines along with the waived $90 initial vet fee). The SPCA told me my dog was around 1 yr old, when I got to see the vet (Dr. Tran) she exclaimed and said there was no way my dog was 1, but 6 years old… (I recently went to a new vet after this experience and the new vet disagrees and reconfirmed that my dog is more around 1.5-2yrs old by checking her teeth). My whole encounter with her was quite poor as she seemed to want to leave the room as fast as she could and before I knew it she was gone. The front staff was friendly, but my interaction with the vet was brief and cold. I had questions to ask her and the vet tech told me that the vet would not be coming back. The fees of vaccines and visits are higher than most places as well!

They offer a free first time exam for new clients. They triple the charge for any vaccine or medication you may need. I was charged $75 for Ottomax ear drops and found the same one later online for less than $15. I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment to be seen. The staff was nice but the pricing was ridiculous. A free exam cost me $245.00. I will not be going back there.

friendly staff, nice doctor. very easy to setup appointment.everything was great and more expensive, but it's always good to get a second opinion from another vet to determine what is best for you and your dog. your first vet may not know what is wrong with your dog.$$$$

Friendly staff. Clean like a regular doctor's office. Treats readily available for your fur babies. Stock of food and other supplies available for purchase. It's a little pricey, but if you want that kind of car for your pet, it's worth it. I can't stand the smell at pet supply stores...

I have been going to VCA for many years primarily because of Dr. Tran. She is the reason why we take our fur babies to this location even though it’s quite a drive for us coming from the Heights. Dr. Tran is the most compassionate vet I have ever met. She is kindhearted, friendly and professional. Finding a great vet is not easy, and we were so blessed to have found Dr. Tran. We love her and the staff here!

I visited this hospital location closer to home and more convenient. They were very flexible as far as availability and was able to see my cats with their vaccinations. Interactions with the vet technicians, check in, and the Dr were positive; I liked how the Dr talked to my timid/nervous one and was observant to what she appears to dislike or like, and I got to learn something new.The VCA hospital website, however, appears to have a bug because I couild not schedule an appointment online.

This place feels like family at this point. During Harvey when I lived nowhere close to this clinic (and was not a client), I was desperate to find a place to store my cats after our apartment got flooded out and VCA Kelliwood boarded our three cats free of charge. My now 5 year old son was 7 weeks old at the time and it was so kind of them to do.Fast forward to today, we are now regular clients with a Basset Hound and cats visiting regularly. We had to put a cat down on Monday and were devastated but everyone was so kind and treated us with great respect and dignity. Dr. Tran is the sweetest and the receptionists and techs are truly amazing.

We recently moved back to Katy and I took my dog to VCA Kelliwood. Dr. Lee was excellent and even took the time to read over my dog's records before our appointment. I also needed my dog's records updated so I can take her on an international trip. Kayla phoned our old vet, requested my dog's vaccination records, and sent me an updated email within 30 minutes of my request. I think the staff are caring, helpful, and take excellent care of my dog.

This clinic has cared for our pets for almost two decades - beginning with our beloved Greg Wood. Taking care of bloodhounds is not for the faint of heart, and these folks have done it with kindness, expertise and compassion. Drs. Tran and Vest are consummate professionals and we're so thankful for both of them.....especially during the past six months, when we had to say goodbye to both of our dear hounds. We now have a new rescue with a myriad of medical issues, and both doctors have stepped up to provide the best medical care possible -- along with great words of advice for us as we transition him back to health. They are always quick to respond to a text or phone call, and are true partners with us as dog owners. The administrative and medical staff are equally wonderful and attentive....and we're grateful for all of them!

This vetinary clinic is the best. They genuinely care for the animals in their charge. They don't rush visits, they take time to make sure that the animals are comfortable offering them treats and kind words. My dog loves Dr Tran.

I loved the way they took care of Pickles and I was willing to pack her up and take her an hour away to get back to their services. They were very attuned to the needs of our littlest family member. We love our cat dearly and her care and upkeep is the most important thing that we can do for her and to keep her healthy. They were kind and circuitous to us as they examined her and they contacted us when we were supposed to take her in for her yearly check up. This was just a week ago and when I said that I moved, they directed me to a closer location and told us that they would transfer her records for Pickles to the Pasadena VCA Clinic which is only 15 minutes from our home instead of an hour. She'd be very mad at us if we packed her into the car and drove her for two hours and took her to the vet in between trips. So we stick with VCA Animal Clinic. They give our cat and us what we need to be comfortable with her health and welfare. Thanks VCA!

I live very near the vet so it's extremely convenient to walk my dog for her check ups etc. The staff is very nice and come across very professional but there is a MAJOR disconnect with them every time I try to get prescription approval from them when ordering medicine from a 3rd party.2 years ago I had MAJOR trouble getting them to approve my dogs medicine despite her JUST finishing up her annual exam so I switched to another nearby vet. Fast forward to the present... I had my dogs annual exam a week and half ago with Kelliwood and immediately ordered her medicine with an online company. They still haven't gotten approval from my vet. According to the online supplier the request is still sitting in their inbox. The cynical side of me thinks they don't want to approve since they are losing a sale on the meds but whatever the reason they are losing more money because they are losing a customer.

Took Jelly bean for her first heath exam. The Dr was awesome with her and gave us a lot of information on training our pup. The girls in the front desk and the vet assistant were a delightful and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely be bringing our puppy back!

I can't say enough about this clinic and the staff. Dr Wood is great as well as his technician. Usually my dog is not the best patient but with both of them he did the best he's ever done! I didn't seemed pressured into anything...which is nice...and the care for my baby was great! They even gave him treats for being so good afterward! Hats off to kelliwood. I will for sure direct my friends to this clinic! Very pleased with our experience here

Love how Dr. Wood treated me (the client) and my pet (the patient). His kindness and respect he showed my little old sick pet was generous. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with his services.I had been twice to another veterinary clinic that was clearly focused on what they could bill their clients AND HAD NO RESPECT FOR MY SPECIES OF PET.

I ended up as a client here because there were a couple people that worked in the front that I felt were outstanding. It made me very comfortable.I had one dog with cancer that needed constant blood work and another dog that is basically in a hospice situation and barely walk anymore. My dog with cancer passed away, but VCA was still providing a prescription for my hospice dog. Today, out of the blue, my pharmacy told me the vet was not responding to a need for a renewed prescription. My poor guy can barely walk the 10 feet to go outside anymore. But, no phone call or any contact from VCA to let me know they will no longer be renewing a prescription they have been providing me for a couple of years. As they have become the vet of choice for other family and friends based on my recommendation I am just greatly disappointed with the lack of communication.

This place is wonderful. I have a big hyper dog . They helped me with her from when I checked in till I left. They are wonderful with the dogs . Also they give you a care package for them for your first time. The vet and vet techs are really good. They vet tech even did the trick with my dog. You can put a treat on his nose and he will catch it in his mouth. Their prices are reasonable too. I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s super handy for me so close to my home.

Fantastic, quality pet careDr. So, and staff, are ALL amazing people. They show a genuine care for pets. They treat you and your pet like they are family. We live further away, but for our sons boxer, Luc, this is the only place we will go to. We were out of town and our boxer started to get sick. We called and spoke to Dr. So and he provided amazing support over the phone and gave us quality advice for us to treat our pet for the time being (nothing life or death of course). You cannot beat that type of quality care from anywhere else.Thank you Dr. So for being a caring veterinarian and easing our minds for our pet.

I've taken my Jack Russell Terrier, Bailey, here for years. She's the kind of dog that has the "will bite" sticker on her file. Regardless, Dr. Wood and the staff have always been sweet and friendly, trying their best to make her feel comfortable and at ease. I really appreciate their sincerity, especially now that she is in her golden years and needs that extra TLC. I highly recommend this place!

We found Kelliwood VCA after adopting a puppy from the SPCA a few years ago, and couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Wood and his staff. It is clear that everyone at Kelliwood VCA loves what they do, and it shows in the way that they care for our dogs. As dog owners for forty years, we highly recommend not only Dr. Wood, who has been so helpful and kind to our two rambunctious dogs, but his friendly and patient staff.

When I first came in with my recently adopted extremely sick puppy I was a nervous wreck. The staff helped me out and we found the best option to get him healthy again. With every new illness they'd be willing to help me out and provided excellent and friendly support. I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is great and the doctor is extremely nice and caring. I don't know what else to ask for.
