I recently visited Petco to get hermit crabs, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! As soon as I walked in, the friendly staff greeted us and were incredibly attentive throughout our visit. They provided helpful advice and guidance, ensuring we found the perfect hermit crabs for our home. The level of customer service was exceptional, making our trip to Petco a truly enjoyable one. Definitely deserving of a five-star rating!

I Drove across town to Katy to pick up an item I ordered online. When I was about 5 min. away, got a text saying it was returned to stock due to no pick up. Called the store & they said they showed no record of my purchase (even tho my credit card was charged). Got to the store & had to wait a long time for the guy to finish checking out long line of people so he could help me. There was another employee there who did nothing to help any customers. Finally got waited on, only to find a misplaced empty box on a shelf with no product I bought. Then the other employee says he moved the box (for "display only") and he also cancelled my order. First guy was confused as I was. Second guy was extremely rude and argumentative. I left store & called the Petco main # to get a refund and to file a complaint. The whole time I was on the phone that second employee came out of the store & kept walking back & forth in front of my car staring at me. Guess he was trying to intimidate me,?? I also told the corporate office what he was doing. All in all a very bad experience with Petco online purchase and subsequent attempt to pick up that purchase. The Katy location off of Mason Road has a very hostile employee there. I definitely won't go back .

I didn’t like the way my baby’s face cut came out. I asked for a bear face cut and it didn’t look as expected. It was also a little overpriced I spent a total of $84 for a bath & cut. The price included a $5 tip that I gave because I felt it was the courteous thing to do.

Just picked up my order (11/25/23 6pm) from a couple days ago and an item wasn't filled but they just had a shipment today and it was on the shelf. The supervisor and a lady cashier were very helpful and patient in helping me work with customer service to get the item for the online discount price. Instead of having to return and re-order. Customer service was also courteous and helpful. It's why I will always order and shop at Petco!

All the treats/bones are 80% for small-medium dogs I have 2- Boxers weighing between 85-100 lbs an I have to either order online, PetSmart or Pet Supplies Plus. For them to have treats that they won’t eat up in 10 minutes. For y’all to supposedly be a Top pet supply store your treats doesn’t measure up to their standards. I expected better. The customer service is outstanding, employees Great. But Upper Management needs to work on more better reasonable cost non-rawhide chews. These two is who the treats are for.

I've been going here since I was little girl. I absolutely love the staff, especially Caitlyn. She's very knowledgeable and helped me find just what I needed for my new pup!!Check out this adorable necklace I found here , made just for Pearl! The rest of the staff there has been sweet and patient when I bring her in. I am just not very good with names to thank everyone.

I recently visited the Petco store to pick up a 34-pound bag of dog food that I had pre-ordered and paid for. As a parent carrying my baby in car seat , I expected some assistance with such a heavy item. However, to my disappointment, the employee merely placed the bag in a cart and rolled it over to me without offering any help or even waiting for me to ask and walked away .This lack of empathy and basic customer service left me frustrated and disappointed. It raises concerns about how they treat customers with additional needs at this location. Overall, my experience at this Petco store was terrible customer service, and I hope they take steps to improve their interactions with customers in the future.

Went in to get some assassin snails and they were really helpful. I have been in a few times and this is by far the best location in all of Katy. Staff has always been attentive and helpful whenever I have gone.

I purchased a 60 gallon cube tank from here. Went to pick it up and the GM volunteered to drive it home for me in my car. Just overall great customer service!!!!

0 built cat towers. I know they might take up more room than you would like but at least have 1 on display and the build your own at the bottom. I gave it a 4 star because the store was very clean and the aquarium area was quite nice!! Posting some pics below. Fish selection was rather larger. Why not a perfect 5 star? Went to PetSmart and got a $175 pre built 6ft cat tower for $100 4th of July sale while Petco had maybe 5 boxed hard to find. However the fish area is lousy at PetSmart in comparison to Petco. I guess every store even amongst the same Franchise has its niche market. Back to PetSmart... they had literally 15-20 prebuilt cat towers all over 4ft tall at the Fry Rd location... I had hit the Cat Tower jack pot if you're ever in the market for that specific item. I only name drop and leave location because my cat only has three legs and this was his birthday Present! His last one broke and he was so sad. Literally heartbroken, but us kitty parents saved the day!

Never have had a bad experience here. Employees have been helpful when I've needed help and I usually get greeted when I enter. I was looking for a new dry food brand for my dog as the one I used to get no longer is sold at Petco, and they let me know why. They've been doing a lot of positive changes in the food they provide for our furry friends, & I can't say how thankful I am that they provided that info. I made a change for the better in my dog's diet. I bought Organix for small breeds and my dog loved it.

I took my dog for a grooming appointment first thing that happens when they take him the groomer started to slide him towards the back, the collar that was around his neck was almost off by the time she got to the back. I wait 3 hours to hear back to pick him up and no one calls me, finally decided to go there myself cause I try calling twice and no one answer the phone. once I get to the store I go to the back and no one there as well but I can hear my dog in the back so I go find someone to help me and when they bring my dog out he was still wet, base on the state of his coat looks like they never dried him. Safe to say never going back here again money wasted now I gotta dry him at home.

Brandy answered even my silliest of questions earnestly and diligently and pulled out all the stops to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase and had seen every option. Fish department is poorly kept up with. Staff is s hit or miss when I go. Last pick up i had, clerk on register was on her phone the entire time until she finally acknowledged me.There was multiple dead bettas, and female bettas are in cups when compared to petco in North katy they have them in an actual tank together if they get along.

I love coming here but my last experience left me feeling kind of frustrated/uncomfortable. I wanted to purchase another tank and one of the employees kept asking questions about my fish keeping knowledge and why I was doing certain things. I know some people get fish and don’t know what they’re doing but its kind of annoying when I just came in to get some supplies and go. Especially when you work with animals yourself, it’s insulting and it made me feel dumb. In future, just let your customers get their supplies and don’t question what they buy and/or why. :/
