Wonderful staff! I learned a LOT at my eye exam with Dr. Romero that no other ophthalmologist ever took time to explain. Long and Ashley were so kind and answered all of questions about frames and types of lenses. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office!

If i can give zero i will. Our entire family is with Dr Romero and we are absolutely happy with him & his staffs. But when it is Katy Optiks i am running around in days just to get contacts prescription.My daughter was on trial lenses (first time) with them and went in for trial period checkup . However at the end of the check up she was told to let your mom call us to email the prescription. Well i have been calling for 2 days & apparently their outgoing email is not working !!!!!On top of that i was told why your daughter did not ask for prescription? Where the world is going? When the optician knows she is there for her trial period check up would not they know she needs a prescription?I will not recommend this Katy Optiks UNLESS you have a reminder & checklist of items before you walk out of that place

I don’t ever post negative reviews but I truly feel this is absolutely needed. My son was prescribed glasses due to a weak right eye crossing about 6 months ago. I paid over $300 for glasses(they were out of my network) since the doctor he was seen by was attached to this place and I wanted them done right and I figured they were the best place to get them from. Boy was I wrong. 5 months later after receiving the glasses and having my son wear them continually as told by the doctor I had yet to see any improvement so I took him back to the doctor. Come to find out the prescription was wrong in the glasses the entire time and they were not cut with the correct prescription. Now the doctor is telling me my son might need surgery now to correct the eye when before we could of possibly fixed the issue with the glasses. At the time of finding this out Katy Optiks was extremely apologetic and tried to correct the glasses the same day but unfortunately didn’t have the lense my son needed. That being said the lady said they’d be ready the following Monday. (3 days later). I told her that was fine and the lady said she would call me when they were ready. I waited over a week after that timeframe they originally gave me and I still hadn’t heard anything so I went back this morning and apparently they STILL haven’t been corrected. I am absolutely appalled with this place. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever encountered with an eye glass clinic. The lady tried to place the blame on the people they use to cut their lenses for frames that can’t be done in house but still - WHY WEREN’T THEY CHECKED AT MY SONS FITTING. My child is 2 for crying out loud. He cannot tell us he can’t see correctly. I’m at my wits end with this place. I just want my money back. Unfortunately I can’t get back any of the time we wasted here and now my son might have to have surgery to correct his eye. Do with this what you will.

Great place to purchase classes & lenses. The service is excellent. The selection is good. Katy Optics is associated with opthamologist Dr. Romero. This allows them to guarantee the prescription for 30 days after you pick up your glasses or lenses. That's a lot of peace of mind.

I have been using Katy Optiks for four years and have always received premium personal attention for eyeglasses and contacts. Lorraine and staff are very knowledgeable on manufacturer of lenses and frames. I have been to other eyeglass merchants and while the end product is satisfactory I have never received the service and input that I do at Katy Optiks. They can actually tell you the different processes each lens company uses and the different results these processes produce. Also they care about how my glasses look on me, how balance and proportional to my features. Thanks for another great experience!

It was my first visit to Katy Optiks. My husband had gotten his glasses there is few years ago and told me they were the best glasses he had ever had. I was impressed with the person who helped me select my new frames and measured for my new lenses. She was very patient and pleasant. I did not feel rushed to make a selection. I have been using Katy Optiks for years and can only praise their work. They have outstanding customer relations and stand 100% behind their work. Should anything be wrong with your new frames or lenses they will correct the problem ASAP. The quality of the materials used in the lenses that they use are superior to the "cut rate" businesses. Give them a try.
