Kangaroo Tales is an all inclusive game store. They cater to most in-print tcgs. They also care about their customer base and have a ton of singles and sealed product. They have branched off into games and collectibles as well. I enjoy coming to the store to play Commander on Fridays as well. Dennis is an excellent owner/manager and if you need anything ask him! Great experience and I would highly recommend!

Last time I was in Houston, I had the opportunity to visit this card shop and really liked the vibe of the store. All of the staff I spoke to were very welcoming and helpful. One thing I notably enjoyed about this place was when I was learning how to play mtg with my bf and the manager there ended up giving me an old school starter deck for free even though I was willing to pay. I’ll never forget that kind gesture and I wish nothing but the best for this card shop and their staff. :) <3

If you're looking for a card gaming/collecting community, then look no further. I was absolutely taken by the quality of care and investment that the team (especially Dennis) commits to their patrons. Every visit has been very personal, especially a as I've dipped my toe into card gaming, only heightened by the friendly community that frequents the shop. Kangaroo Tales overall is a wonderful mom and pop shop worthy of your patronage.Having moved to their new(current) location,The space for hanging out and playing has grown, along with their extensive stock. Offering up-to-date and new products, Kangaroo Tales has a revolving stock of collectibles items peaking almost any collector's interest.

Kangaroo Tales is the place to go if you’re looking to play some MTG! I’m stocking up and some pretty foil cards for a new deck I have in the making. Amazing card and collectables shop. We happened to find it when we were looking for singles and they DEFINITELY have them. Tons of cards at very good prices. I can only speak to Pokemon but they had a lot of other games as well. The Pokemon cards are all pretty good condition. Will definitely be spending way to much money here each time I come back

I live in a small town and we don't have any card shops around. When I heard of this store I decided to make the 2 hour trip to the store. It was the best experience I have ever had with a card shop. There was so many options between card sleeves to deck boxes. I was able to sell some of my mtg collection and got a amazing price for everything. Not to mention they are extremely well organized and it made my visit that much more amazing. The staff is really friendly and was able to answer all the questions i had about the store and was able to guide me around the store very easily it made my visit one to always remember. As soon as i left the store I was already planning my next trip. 10/10 store I recommend anyone to that plays card games to visit the store.

If you are looking for pokemon cards like me, this is the place to go. Not mainly about pokemon cards but they have a variety of organized pokemon binders which make it easier to look through. They have plenty of Magic cards for those who like Magic. The shop owner Dennis is very cool and outgoing. He will give you a cool brief introduction about how this shop works for newcomers. Highly recommended for everyone who is interested in any cards like Magic and Pokemon. There are also other cool antiques as well.

I’m gonna be honest, this is a must visit! I picked up multiple singles for my deck and as a new player it’s great to have a local game store like this to buy and play at. The vibes are immaculate, the owners are amazing; seriously pay them a visit if your big into mtg and collectables, you will not regret it.

This shop is my go-to for all of my Magic: The Gathering needs, but their inventory spans so much more. Their selection is incredible and the staff is welcoming, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. To anybody who gives Kangaroo Tales anything lower than 5 stars, just.. why? Out of the 10+ card shops within Houston that I've personally been to, Kangaroo Tales remains a force to be reckoned with (Especially for Magic The Gathering). Not only do they have an abundant collection, unique services and a rapidly growing community; the staff's kindness and expertise alone could topple other LGS's. If you are looking for a place to upgrade how you think and play MTG, this is 100% the spot. No questions asked.

One of the most incredible card selections for magic the gathering you could possibly ask for. If you are looking for a magic the gathering card, they almost certainly have it. Friendly and helpful staff, and they always have games going. An absolute mainstay if you play magic the gathering, there's just not another store like this on.
