I found this place on Google and it was close to the Air B&B we were staying at in Austin. The staff here is really friendly and don’t mind having a few laughs with you. That always makes it a good time. The artists were really good and made sure we were good as well. I have to mention that Absolutely Stunningly Talented artist that works here by the name of David. Me and my cousin were admiring the are hanging on the walls around the shop and so happened to ask about one of them. Turns out David painted them… 👀😲 When he told us the story and meaning behind each of his paintings were blown away! I just really hate that I didn’t take pictures of all of them. This guy has a talent that is truly undiscovered! It’s crazy how much talent is out there and people just don’t know about it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 He has some pieces that I’d love to have hanging in my home. The pricing here is what you’d expect to pay for good art. If you have something different or creative in mind there’s no doubt David can make it a reality. By the way he’s the artist and his wife is the hand at the needle… 💯💯💯

Nothing but GREAT things to say about American Gypsy Tattoo. David and Shelby were amazing, from the moment we walked in the door! My daughter (3 years old) wanted her ears pierced, we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Not a single peep or even a flinch was made during the piercing AND we left with a smile! Thank y’all again for making the process such a joy! We will be back for sure!!

Me and my sister went here to get our noses pierced for the first time. We have nothing but great things to say. From the moment we walked in we were greeted as if they had known us since forever. It was very welcoming. And they spoke SPANISH! Which is a plus for me because they were able to communicate with my mom. The process was easy and simple. Also with this being our first time they were more than understanding and patient with us. Especially me since I was very nervous to get my nose pierced. 😂. I 100% recommend going here!

I absolutely love American gypsie!!! David and Shelby are the most amazing people to work with. You can give them an idea and they will make it come to life with their creative minds. They are true artists! And when they collaborate together it’s like magic!!! Shelby has absolutely perfect lines and loves to work with different styles of tattooing to make it all flow together. Her dot work is my new favorite! David does anything from mythical scenes to old school tattoos. Anything he puts out is top notch! David and Shelby also do coverups that are truly impressive! They can do any style. They also have great apprentices that have come along way under their direction.David also has a tattoo care lotion and whipped butter that I live by. All natural product with a 4-7 day healing process.Shelby has her own amazing soap, sugar scrub and body butter line she has created and makes personally. All natural with essential oils. She really does care about what she creates and knows the healing properties of everything she makes. It’s great stuff! Shelby and Justice are absolutely amazing! I have gotten my nose, second lobe, and third love done by them. I took my daughter here to get her 2nd lobe and her two cartilage piercings. Also, my nieces got their first lobe piercings here. I highly recommend them!

Our daughter wanted her ears pierced for her 16th birthday. We walked in, filled out the necessary info and walked back within 5 minutes of arriving! They did her ears in tandem so it would be less stressful for her (she was a bit nervous). They told her not to use any cleaning solution, just run water over it in the shower, no twisting it (like we were all told back in the day) and they've healed beautifully! She had them done at Claire's back when she was 7 and they never healed properly, were always infected and sore, so we took them out after a couple of months. This had been a night and day difference! $20 for the entire process including the jewelry can't be beat! Other places charge $70 for the piercing alone! If we ever have any other piercing needs, this 100% will be the place we go, even tho it's a 40 minute drive from our house. Thanks so much for a great experience and making it less stressful for our daughter!

David was able to fit my husband and I in 30 minutes before closing (I know, we were those people). We had decided at the last minute to get tattoos for our wedding anniversary. He and his wife Shelby were more than happy to accommodate our pour planning. Our tattoos turned out perfect, even better than I had imagined! They even text the next day to make sure that we were happy with our tattoos. My husband and I will 100% be back for more work. I called to make an appointment for ear piercing for my daughter and the owner was so nice and friendly on the phone. No appointment needed for piercings and to come on in whenever or right now. Lol. I instantly felt comfortable going there. When we got there, there where a few people in front of us for piercings and he could tell my daughter was nervous and was about to bolt out of there so he asked the others if we could go ahead of them. Him and his wife where very gentle and considerate and did everything possible to make my daughter feel comfortable. They pierced her ears at the same time and super fast. I walked in for a nose piercing because another piercer at a different shop was out of town. The process was so quick and easy so I thought. It’s been about 4 weeks and I noticed recently my nose piercing was infected. I personally don’t recommend the shop. They weren’t gentle just in and out, which if the piercing was done correctly, I wouldn’t have minded, but seeing as it’s infected, I’m not impressed.

I brought my 8 year old daughter in 3 weeks ago to get her ears pierced for the first time. David and Shelby made the experience quick and easy for us, and pierced both ears simultaneously so she barely had time to even let out a yelp before they had her all cleaned up and ready to go. Their shop was clean and sanitary, and they were knowledgeable and personable.Two weeks later, one of my daughter's earrings got stuck in her ear while we were out of town. David and Shelby gave me guidance to get us through over the phone, then took her in to swap out her earrings for something bigger once we got back in town. They were great with my daughter. She was nervous about getting her ears pierced and moved when he did the second ear so he had to do it again but it was still a great experience. He explained everything to her and told her the things she should and should not do while they are healing. Very reasonable prices on jewelry as well.
