We love to go to old times, quirky spots. The Jefferson General Store is such a place, similar to Dick’s Five and Dime in Branson, Missouri. It is a step back in time with a candy counter, ice cream, canned jellies and such and some to try on crackers. I love the feel and the nostalgia.

The Jefferson General store is the best shop in town. You have to stop by this unique store. There are all kinds of funny and one-of-a-kind products for sale. There is great ice cream, coffee, toys, and you can sit down and play checkers with your friends. It’s a great store and I always enjoy stopping there when we come to Jefferson.

My visit to this establishment was a delightful case of sensory overload. There was so much to see and so much I wanted to buy. I enjoyed all of the artifacts from the past, and smiled at the unique merchandise that coaxed dollars from my wallet. Speaking of dollars, you only need a nickel to buy a cup of coffee here. When in Jefferson you MUST visit this general store.

Jefferson General Store is the best place to find gifts! They have a very friendly staff, clean store, and tons of things to find! Candy, ice cream, fountain drinks, clothing, toiletries, toys, shoes, accessories, jewelry, decor, gifts…they have it all! Amazing & magical store!!! If you don't live close by it is worth the drive. Very unique place with something for absolutely everyone. There is no other place like this, it's like stepping back in time. Try their mouth watering pecan pralines or some of their yummy candy or preserves! Or honey butter. I could go on & on & on about this wonderful place. The pictures are from my son's very first trip to the General Store & one from after the Christmas parade in 2020. Will be visiting once again tomorrow afternoon!

We had the best time in Jefferson, especially at General Store - so many candies from my childhood, a terrific selection of coffees, salsa, jams and jellies…and yes, still one of the best Cherry Limeades I’ve had since I was a kid! They also have a a huge selection of gifts, and an entire section of toys for kiddos, too - literally something for everyone, especially charm and nostalgia…two thumbs WAY up!

The Jefferson General Store offers one of the best general store experiences in the state! They have a huge selection of fun items, as well as an ice cream counter and other snacks. Their section of kids items is extensive, and they also have a large selection of packaged foods and candy. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Jefferson area! It is a huge space with tons of great items to explore.

I actually ended up stopping into this store since it was the only thing open when I got into town and am I glad I did. This place is like Willa Wonka meets old timey general store with soda fountains, lots of neat souvenirs, food, toys, books, etc. Even got to meet John Wayne. If you are in town, you have to stop by to check this place out.

Such a great place to spend some time. Lots of great things to look at and curios to purchase. Got a good cheap cup of coffee and a float while playing a game of checkers. My kids loved it too.

The floors creak, you can just feel the history. My imagination was working over time imagining what it was like when brand new, what the town was like. This was my first time here, spent the afternoon with my sister. I will be back, everyone was so nice.

Another Texas gem. Spent over an hour in this well stocked country store. Actually picked up a couple of gifts for Christmas. They have everything from jams and jellies to soaps and lotion. They have a full children’s department and black light accessory’s .Lots of candy to choose from. Loved the store kitty cat who greeted us in the toy section.

Love stopping in here, touch overcrowded, open up the space a bit and it would be perfect. But the kids love wandering and exploring, so do the adults, and they're super chill and friendly.

Very cool general store. It's large, well stocked, you can get draft root beer in a frosty mug to swig on while you roam the very large store. They have a wonderful selection of taffy, candy from yesteryear, t shirts, interesting toys, cute sign, canned preserves/honey butter etc etc. Very nice gentleman running the place. Had a great time looking around.

5 cent coffee. Candy of all kinds, gift items, etc. Love the bar area that you can sit at to order coffee for a nickel and food. There was even the oversized checkers you could sit and play. Nastalgic feel to it. Made me feel like a kid.

A must see on anyone's bucket list. Grape soda drinks. Real ice cream fountain stand. And 5 cent coffee. Bunch of stuff for all and all the candy from your childhood on top. Just loved the place. Don't speed through town.They are money hungrey on traffic tickets. Any town on 59 for that matter.
