The area was as clean as probably could be when there are tons of dogs and cats around, and they seem to be well-cared for and ready for their forever home. We met a few and finally fell in love with a sweet, sweet mix of a dog weāve named Tucker.

The receptionist at this shelter is out of this dog gone world! So kind and greeted me immediately! (She drooled over my paperwork but Iāll look passed it) 10/10 would recommend this facility. Keep up the good work!

A stray cat was injured and needed care. They took him right in and assessed his injury, microchipped him, and after he recovers, he will be adopted=)

The facility was super clean and did not stink nor was it overwhelming. It was the opposite, it friendly, welcoming and bright. Volunteers are really available near the animals to answer questions and help in any way. It was a super positive experience taking my grandmother to get a new dog.We couldn't have asked for a better match! Bonni is doing great and adjusted to her new home and even made a new BFF with her new cousin dog. š thank you. š

A couple weeks ago my husband and I came to visit a local shelter. We didnāt intended to adopt, due to fact we both already owned two dogs. But, when we saw Thor and Layla we both immediately fell in love. We were told they were both found together on the streets, and have been in the shelter since August, knowing that they both shared a special bond we couldnāt separate them. So, we adopted them both and now theyāre both happy with their new fur siblings. I would like to add the people that worked there were all friendly. We observed the handler who was taking care of the large dogs & who also showed us Thor & Layla, that she loves & cares for them. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our dogs. We are very blessed and our hearts our full now that theyāre a part of our family.

Yesterday I had the difficult task of taking my senior cat to the Irving Animal Services complex to be put down to end his suffering. I believe some of my conversation was overhead and I was approached by an Animal Control Officer and informed that city ordinances only allow residents to have snakes of 6 ft and under, which was part of the conversation. Her further questioning of my care and attention to my catās health to me was uncaring and I felt like I was being interrogated. This was a very difficult time for me, and I feel this was uncalled for during my time of grief.Unbeknownst to me, two hours later, a different Animal Control Officer came to my house to check the welfare of my snake and the other cats in the house. This officer on the other hand was very kind, understanding and sympathetic to what I was going through.I feel the way I was treated at the center was uncalled for as well as having an officer come out the same day. I would have understood an officer coming out the following day, but this did not happen.Thank you for the opportunity to share my feelings

Very nice people. The animals look well taken care of. The cats get a play area for them. I adopted Hartford about a month ago and he loves his new home. š He loves his brother Miko (the almost all Grey cat) they get along pretty well. Hartford loves cleaning his brother and he loves sleeping on the bed with us every night. ⤠he's so sweet to my daughter and just such a great cat. Highly recommend coming here.

This is a really nice building out in kind of the middle of nowhere, it takes a minute to get to it. But I came here needing donations for my cats because I'm going through a divorce and some health issue and it's preventing me from making a good deal of money. They gave me two cases of wet food for my cats, and a large bag of very good quality nulo duck-based dry food. There were no questions asked all I had to do was sign a sheet and walk out with my items. They were very helpful and understanding

KILLER PLACE!Last week my brother took our dog here bc she bit our other dog, we couldn't longer have her around other pets. My friend wanted to rescue her and adopt her so she went on Tuesday and they told her she was gonna be seen by the vet and have a microchip put in. and that she will be ready for adoption TODAY(Thursday). She went in today to adopt her only to come to the news that they put her down. Our dog was healthy and very active even though she was nine years old, we know she wasn't sick. I know they can't hold dogs for anybody but why clean your hands killing a dog when someone was already interested on her? Thatās exactly why we tried to avoid... getting her killed!

We are having homeless cat all around in our neighborhood and specifically in our backyard, destroying our property also fight with our cat and badly hurt when he was out sometime in our own yard. Called multiple times to Irving Shelter to help us on this but NOT ready to help us on this. I even requested that I can arrange to bring them but they are not even accepting these cats. So whose responsibility to tackle this issue. We do not feed these homeless cats even bought the siren from amazon so what else should we do? our windows net is destroyed and all around properly damage. Finally I m posting this review. Though we are paying high tax in Irving City. This issue needs to be addressed please.

My experience with, formally called "Irving Animal Services", has left me utterly devastated and enraged. I adopted a puppy from this shelter, only to have my heart shattered when I had to put him down a mere 8 days later. It quickly became apparent that the puppy was suffering from distemper, liver shunts, and chewing gum seizures. What's truly appalling is that I began to notice symptoms of illness in the puppy just one day after brining him home. This leads me to believe that he was already showing signs of sickness prior to adoption, yet the shelter assured me that he had all of his medical records, vet checkups, and I was told that he is "guaranteed healthy to be adopted."Despite my efforts to provide him with the best possible care and spending over $3.4k on medical bills, the puppy's condition deteriorated rapidly, and he ultimately succumbed to the disease. The negligence and disregard for the well-being of animals displayed by Irving Animal Shelter or newly named Irving Animal Care Campus is unforgivable. It is unconscionable that they would allow a sick animal to be adopted out without proper evaluation or disclosure of health issues. To add insult to injury, when I attempted to seek reimbursement for the exorbitant medical expenses incurred as a result of their negligence, I was callously denied. Their "no warranty or guarantee of health" policy is nothing short of heartless, leaving grieving pet owners to bear the financial and emotional burden alone. Let alone, would not even reimburse the adoption fee of $100.I implore anyone considering adoption from this shelter to think twice. The pain and suffering inflicted by their negligence are something no pet owner should ever have to endure. I hate to write such a bad review for a shelter but I would highly avoid this shelter at all costs, it's a gamble you simply cannot afford to take.Distemper is not to be taken lightly, it is a serious illness that can have devastating consequences for both animals and owners. Given the highly contagious nature of the disease, I strongly urge anyone who adopted a puppy from this shelter in January to have their pet tested for distemper immediately.

I just had a recent visit to this place, i had to go down to one star from five! The dogās places were dirty! All poops, the pups were lying on poops and eating them! Whole place smelled awful, the people were not frank as they used to be. One told not to take my Rose near other dogs . It was disheartening.

I have always taken ferals and abandon kittens to the VALLEY VIEW ANIMAL SHELTER. The staff are AMAZING as they strive going beyond to care for any pet/animal that needs help, adoptions, ferals needing spaying/neutering. I leave donations for animals that I bring in..... EVERYONE that uses the SHELTER should leave a donation to help all these animals in need and help the staff..... I appreciate everyone working and volunteering there..... what a dynamic blessing to help out animal life, community, to have such wonderful servanthood, having foster parents .... I appreciate you all.... thank you for always being there....what a blessing! Sincerely, Connie Olson

This park always has aggressive dogs. This park has mud. Itās either empty or the dogs that are there are from the surrender shelter supervised by volunteers. Wonāt be backā¦. Itās close by so I probably will come back. Hopefully I wonāt have to go to the emergency vet from my dog getting bit. Itās always a black and white dog that is always there when I go.

We got our girl, Zelda, there. She's fitting in and getting used to daily hikes to the river, weekly dog park trips, daily brushing, treats, and toys. She's not getting used to having her teeth brushed. Oh! And she taught herself how to swim!

This review is for an animal control officer named Egan, who does not understand how a colon is used in a sentence. This officer does not understand how to interpret the ordinances that she was hired to enforce. Egan took the word of a complete psychopath and ran with it without even one element being established. These kind of officers can ruin the reputation of the whole department

I adopted a pup from this shelter and I have called so many times to make an appointment to return the pup due to it being a biter and they never answer and the one time they do answer Debra hung up on me. I called back and Debra had me in hold for more than 15 minutes before I decided to hang up. I only needed to make an appointment!!! When I told Debra she hung up on me she said "ok" and proceeded to put me on hold again

We adopted one of our dogs from here a few years ago, and recently we brought in a stray that we couldn't keep. They are always courteous, professional, and seem to care deeply about the animals!

Horrible customer service. Staff will stare at you and talk badly about you in front of you. They ignore requests and will lie about having someone come out to help. They are also a kill shelter, they put down animals when they are too full and have an animal for too long. Shameful practices

I adopted this rat terrier pit mix I changed his name to Scooby the staff was real nice and very helpful n the adoption process was real easy an the Staff was outspoken but only thing they didn't tell me about the virus he had until I got him home the only thing I had a problem with is I got him home and he started coughing and gagging and sneezing 2 days later I didn't notice until just the other day but now he has kennel cough and I took him to the vet and got some antibiotics and medicine for him hopefully he'll be better but i got two other little dogs have been around so my fear is worried about them not catching it luckily they're all up-to-date on their vaccine I thought when the shelter it's supposed to look after all the dogs and cats from getting these viruses fix it and I'll give five star thank you

State of the art, immaculate facility. Professional, knowledgeable, and responsive personnel. We adopted a huge pup with an unstoppable personality. He was surrendered slightly malnourished, and we asked about his floppy front paws. The vet at the facility was immediately able to examine him and explained the cause and said he would recover with proper nutrition. He already has in a matter of weeks! A shout out to Sarah, the animal control officer who took such good care of us and of Oliver! She carried that enormous puppy out to us because of the facility's strict parvo control protocols. Way to go City of Irving. ā¤

Had a great experience adopting our puppy!I suggest you take your time to look around and see which dog/cat you connect with. They allow you to play with them outside in a designated area. Also if you live in an apartment, make sure that youāre complex allows the breed that you are wanting, some donāt allow certain breeds. We were there for nearly two hours. The paperwork and process took about 30-40minutes. Since our pup was over 6months old, we payed $85 for the fee to adopt. The staff is helpful with any questions and help you understand the paperwork your signing and give you knowledge about your dog/cat.

Today I adopted a cat. I am so impressed with the process. They were very organized and the adoption center was very clean. I had never done this before and will definitely go back again one day. The fees are very reasonable and the animals come with all shots and spay or neuter. I also got all the medical records and the cat is chipped if he ever gets lost.

Went to the TCAP vaccination clinic held at the Care Campus. Great prices. 55$ for complete puppy package with rabies shots. 110$ for Trifexis 6 month supply. There was a line and it took about 2 hours to get completely done. Thereās a lot of work put into providing low cost services for dogs/cats and I appreciated it very much. We will be returning to drop off Louie (in the picture) and Valentine (my cat) for the Spay Neuter Network transport clinic so they can be neutered. Itās great that there are different organization providing these services at the Care Campus.

I love the cause of this place! A little disappointing every pet is unavailable and it's a first come first serve online only.
