Really good (I mean Really good) southern style cornmeal rolled large fried catfish fillets. Generous portions of fish and fries and Okra, sweet tea. Just can't get much more southern than that.They just need to clean up the condiment bottles to give the appearance of a clean establishment.

Seemed like a decent place since it was always busy.Service was non-existent, took our order, and we never heard from her again.The food tasted like something you would get at school way back in the day.I would not suggest.Parking: Not marked, so parking was all over the place

They are known for their catfish, and it is excellent, however they also have an amazing hamburger. Simple, balanced hamburger with fresh ingredients. If you are a fan of Whataburger and Texas Burger restaurants this is same style but better. Double meat all the way with mustard and jalepenos is my recommendation.

For years we have driven 45 miles 1 way to get catfish for 2. Big disappointment tonight. Did not get items they charged us extra for. What was supposed to be cocktail sauce was actually catsup. The hush puppies were burned & we got maybe 10 fries. We were there at 5:30 so it was still early. If you are getting your food to go, open & check what they are giving you. The fish was still good & I can understand the price increase but I still expect to get what we have always gotten. Maybe this place has recently sold.

The fish was the best tasting I have ever had. But my husband found a long hair in his food and it ruined are apatite and experience. They didn't seem very concerned about it or take any money off are very pricey ticket. We will not go there again.Features: No COVID safty

Very good burgers and perfect fried catfish. Very friendly service. Basic tables and chairs. The fried catfish is just so very good, I am always anxious to come back. It's not just that there are no other options nearby... this place would be great anywhere!

Very cute, cozy country cafe. Best catfish I've ever had! I'm not a place I'd typically stop but it was highly recommended and for good reason. You get A LOT of fish for your money.

my folks live about 6 miles from here. stop for the catfish, but I love the southern menu including hamburger steaks chicken fried steak etc. VERY IMPRESSED on made from scratch taters and pinto beans that would make GRANNY jealous. check their hours they vary.

This cafe has the best catfish you will ever eat. Fish is fresh, with crispy cornmeal crust. Sides are good, but the catfish is the ⭐🌟⭐. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Hole in the wall joint in the middle of no where on a highway no one knows about. My parents have raved about their catfish for years and finally got me and the gf to join them. I have never been a catfish fan but this place converted me! The gf and I shared a catfish plate for two and each of us gets 2 sides of our choice. Biggest filets I have ever seen and cooked perfect with an amazing batter. We left stuffed with enough catfish for two more meals for each of us. Less than $25 for two people and enough to feed you for 3 meals. This place is a hidden gem!!!!

I won't eat at the iredell cafe anymore they're food has went down hill. I got steak fingers the outside was almost burnt and the middle of them were still raw they're price keeps going up and the portions getting smaller I have ordered there b4 and everytime it would just be worse had the catfish and looked like it was deep fried twice

If you are every traveling on SH 6 North between Meridian and Hico and you come upon a little town by the name of Iredell, Texas and it’s on a Tuesday through Saturday you must stop at the Iredell Cafe & Gift Shop!! They have the BEST fried catfish EVER and it is so affordable BUT you better come hungry because the servings are HUGE!!! Be sure and go online and check the business hours because they’re not the same everyday

Great place to get take out fried fish. I always ask for the fish to be cut up in smaller pieces. You can't find a better place for fried fish. Love it.

Visiting from out of town for a high school football game and stopped in to have supper. Great catfish dinner and homemade pecan pie. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
