WOW!!! A must stop if you are anywhere near I10 passing by IRA-AN (IRAAN, Texas) The owners Mike & Charlie have a great BBQ spot & are very welcoming. We had a great chat! The smoked brisket is delicious get it on the grilled cheese & be sure to get the "loaded" potato special if it's on the menu. The homemade BBQ sauce, peach cobbler & sweet tea are all highly recommended as well! Be sure to sign the window pane for guests. Keep doing what you are doing guys. Amazing experience. We took a detour to try out Salt Creek and it was well worth it. It was rib day and that was excellent but we had to try the grilled cheese and brisket (with jalapenos and onions) based on the local's recommendation... delicious. Both came with sides and blueberry cobbler... All home made!!! The chefs, Mike and Charlie, spent some time talking with us while our dog enjoyed checking out the backyard and covered deck dining area. I couldn't ask for a better Texas lunch. Note for vegetarians keeping their meat eater friends company, I believe the potato salad and Mac and cheese are meat free... And the cobbler!

Salt Creek BBQ recently opened 2 weeks ago. Awesome Customer Service & Hospitality. Very humble. Smoked brisket sandwich (recommend), mustard potato salad (recommend), sweet tea (refreshing), peach cobbler (to die for). I was driving from El Paso, TX for work & saw a local bbq joint & had to try. Highly recommend! Follow Salt Creek Bbq & give them a try. Tell them Bearded Dude sent you! 🤘

Stopped on a road trip from AK at the first opportunity for TX barbeque. Had to keep going so got the special, two brisket sandwiches. The sandwich was tasty but if I'd known it didn't have much but the meat on it I would've ordered something to round out the meal. The service and fellow patrons were absolutely lovely and friendly, the decor was spot on for an outdoor bq joint - clean, southwestern, friendly with a sense of humor.

Friendliest folks ever! Right off the main road in Iraan and close I 10. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the covered outdoor dining. The smoke comes from pecan wood which definitely adds flavor. The brisket, the homemade beer bread, the potato salad and blueberry cobbler were all delicious!Give’em a try! Stopped by while driving through Texas and so glad we found this gem! The owners are so down to earth and sweet. They had already ran out of desserts when we arrived for a late lunch, so we missed out there. What they did have left was the best sausage I’ve had, and delicious brisket. Their sweet tea was the perfect amount of sweetness, so I imagine their desserts would have been too. If we’re in the area again, I will definitely need to get there earlier! 😊

Fantastic BBQ. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had been hungry since I entered Texas on my way back home. Searched for a BBQ joint along the route. So glad I find this place. Awesome food and great service. I had the ribs and brisket. Both were top notch in every respect. Note there are no inside tables. I ate in my truck to avoid the cold wind. But with food this good. I didn't care one bit!

What an incredible find on our travels! This BBQ joint, newly opened in September, blew us away. From the mouthwatering ribs and brisket to the flavorful sides of beans and Mac and cheese, that all came with a slice of their homemade “baked this morning” beer bread, everything was exceptional. This was the quintessential BBQ experience we'd dreamed of. Their peach cobbler was the perfect sweet touch to finish off the meal. We enjoyed our meal on their outdoor patio with our dog. A special thanks to the owner for making us a feel so welcome. Definitely a stop worth making! We’ll definitely be back the next we pass through the area.

We decided to pop in after seeing the reviews. Iraan is a little off the road from I-10, but this stop was very much worth it!Service was excellent, especially considering we arrived at 7pm. Will definitely be making a detour to come back next time we are going through this part of TX.We were driving across from Presidio to Houston and this hit the spot!!
