If you are visiting the area, it's worth doing your groceries with them. It's the old style family owned place. You would be taken care by members of the family. Just know that it is a little overpriced, but you don't have to drive for 30 min to a major chain. They charge extra if you pay with a credit card.

Love this little hometown grocery store. The owners always have a smile on their faces, and they provide fresh baked goods, and the freshest meat. They hand out premade seasoning to go. The best.

Always a good experience when I come in friendly John is a great butcher and owner, good prices for being a mom and pop store,my grandmother has been coming there since the early 80's when I was a child. Moved back in 2010 and never have had one problem.

The store owner John is very nice and has been at this location several years with a loyal customer base. He offers a variety of meat at very reasonable prices way better than both HEB grocery stores. He is a butcher and is happy to accommodate his customers requests for specific special cuts of meat. He also sells a variety of frozen meats, prepackaged frozen meals, eggs, butter and lots of store canned food items and everything else a typical grocery store has available just with the mom and pop feel. It's definitely worth your time to shop here.

What a neat quaint store. It reminds us of a small store in Breckenridge very well known called Ray's. It was very pleasing home felt feeling while we're out on a vacation. They treated us like we were from there! We will be back. :-)

I love this store!!! There is an amazing butcher on site that makes fresh cuts and there is beautiful local produce and the best salsa ever!! I basically grew up in this store, I have been a customer for all of my life!! When I was young we would go in and get sodas and pop cycles and weird old timey candy on our way to or from the river. But the best part about this store is that time stands still when you walk through the door! If you ever get the chance to go, please slow down and appreciate the place for all it's wonder! Check all the isles there are so many treasures to find.

I go in this store all the time to grab a few small grocery items on my way home. I love the fresh salsa in that back cooler. So good!! Yesterday I bought hamburger meat to make tacos. It was some of the best meat I've cooked. I couldn't believe the taste difference from the meat I normally buy at HEB. This tasted so much better!!! The staff is always so friendly and always asks if I need help. Truly a great little grocery store.

I have been in the store several times. Very nice people. I bought some thick cut pork chops that were very good quality. Butchers were very helpful. I love the family owned businesses and will continue to use them.

You know the difference in the meat you buy from anywhere else to Johns. The taste, you just know. Not added nothing in the meat. Real meat, good people.....

Fantastic locally owned grocery. Hand cut steaks daily. Amazing service too. Everyone is so friendly and they will do anything they can to help you. The young high school are very helpful and down home polite. Don't shop anywhere else up here. Obviously prices a tad higher but level of service outweighs that by a country mile. Can't say enough good things about them.

I was a little worried about the size of the chicken they sold me. It was smaller than I am used to. I prepped it and cooked it exactly like my Mom taught me...WELL! Amazed! So incredibly good! I could tell, of course, very fresh! I am used to purchasing my chickens from Fresh Market or Whole Foods... this little chicken is better! By far! Great flavor, not even a hint of dry! Utter perfection. I love cooking, have enjoyed it for about 30 years, a lot of disappointments from a lot of grocers. Not this QUAINT little place! Very well appointed, and as I said, fantastic whole chickens!! I also purchased ground meat from them a few weeks back...never more compliments than with that spaghetti! Same recipe every time! Had to be the meat:). JS.

It's like stepping back in time...in the best possible way. John and his wife are such nice people and make you feel welcome and important. Such a breath of fresh air to spend your money on quality products with quality people who appreciate your business. The products are lined up perfectly on the shelves and the ability to find local produce, baked goods and other interesting items make shopping here a delight.

Great place for fresh produce, and they have some of the best cuts of meat you can get. They have a garden that grows just for them. If I could, I'd never buy steak from anywhere else again.

This place reminds me of the local family markets of my 1950- 60 childhood. The man behind the meat counter was very friendly and proud of the store and his fresh meats. Stated that if we were needing something special he would try to get it for us. Love the home town feeling of this place

Love love love this place....live 8 hours away, but every time we come visit our daughter we make the trip to Ingram to visit the butcher!! Best meat and cuts in Texas...always try to take a bunch home to freeze until the next time we make it down!

Old-timey grocery/general store, small but well stocked. Fishing/bait supplies. They have several local business that supply them with fresh baked goods, fresh salsa, jellies, and lotions. The owner's wife sells Advocare products in store. Friendly staff. The owner is a butcher and operates a meat market in the back and can cut it anyway you like it, great meat and cheese selection. They carry local produce in the summer.

This place was a really cool small town store. They had pretty much everything you need here and the people were super friendly. I could just walk around in here and look at cool stuff. If your in ingram and want a local experience please go to this store and shop or browse. I'd recommend anybody who is in ingram or passing through to stop here and shop. Their vegetable isle is pretty amazing also. A small store like this to ha e some of the things they had in here was pretty remarkable.
