I have been with Dr Ricky for over 20 years. I rely on Dr. Ricky and his staff because they are professional, courteous, and friendly. I feel at home with them. My pets love them. I know my darlings are always cared for here. They have also kenneled and watched them (while I have been away) because they have some special needs.

I am Rocket, a mini poodle who was traumatized last week by the groomer. My ears were plucked in chunks and the groomer was in too much of a hurry to use conditioner on my ear hair. I was so agitated, anxiety stricken and traumatized that I shook my head so much blood pooled on my ears. In fact she may have nicked them. My parents had to give me benadryl and put kenalog on my ears. Mom called the vets office to complain and they were nice enough to see me (rightfully without charge) to give me a steroid shot and put medicine in and around my ears. I had to go back to wearing the cone from when I was neutered. Good grief. Insult to injury. While the vet clinic did the right thing and was compassionate, I'm still hacked off to be wearing a cone and my ears are a long way from being well again. I am not sure if I ever want to get in a vehicle again. Groomer should have talked to my parents before clipping me so short and causing me to have PTSD.

as winter texans i have been going to Ingleside Hospital for many years. I just returned after an 8 year absense and was greeted and recognized immediately. Bellarose had an amazing groom and look forward to her check up and rabies vaccine on the 24th October. Dr. Rickey has treated my two bichons, Angel & Heidi and now BellaRose my Mailtipoo. Professional care always.

The only reason this is not 1 star is because the vet service is amazing and have helped us since we've been down here. But the grooming service should not even be provided if this is the quality of the services rendered.She is a Golden Retriever. By asking for a short cut to help with the temperature, the groomer said she would do a "summer cut" along with the basics (nails, bath, etc). But when I picked her up, this is the result. Uneven patches of cut fur, clear indications of buzzer lines, and a nervous dog. Groomer did not indicate any issues during the session and even said she was easy to work with.After getting home, I checked the quality of the other services given. Found dried blood on her dew claw. Only after calling the vet and asking to talk to the groomer directly did she say she cut her quik. Yet somehow, all of this was the most expensive grooming session I have ever paid for.Excellent vet service, horrendous grooming quality.Edit: reviews include aspects of criticism and may not "be nice". The American Kennel Club has a detailed article about shaving double-coated dogs.Update: tried to do simple grooming by ourselves with clippers after incident 6 months ago. She had such a physical reaction to hearing the clippers start that she was shaking uncontrollably and we needed to cease any grooming efforts.

This place has your fur baby's best interest at heart. We had taken a mama and her pup from the coast to Georgia and needed to get a rabies shot. After giving the shot they looked at the pup and have her a dewormer at no charge. They were friendly and gentle with the girls. If I lived close, they would be my vet!

Dr. Broussard is the only vet in the area that cares for birds. They took great care of my parakeet & they called to follow up to see how she was doing. She may be just a parakeet but she's still part of the family. Dr. Broussard & his staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to caring for our feathered friends & it was nice not having to drive to Corpus. I highly recommend Ingleside Animal Hospital

Dr. Broussard is so helpful in keeping me up to date with medications available for heartworm and fleas & ticks prevention, and then more for our furry child. She likes their attention ;)**We called on him last year at a crucial time when our other furry loved one had to be put to down. Dr. Broussard and his assistant came to our house, and they were SO SUPPORTIVE, HEART WARMING, AND EMPATHETIC with our situation. Reasonable, Caring, and Professional for sure. We are moving over to Ingleside Animal Hospital from Floerke near Taft because of convenience and an exceptional reference. After our first visit with our two children (they have paws) I'm happy to say that if you drive 100 miles to come to this clinic you will not be disappointed. This is a class A clinic and they know animals. They taught my wife and myself things about our pets (we have had over 8 yrs.) we didn't know, in a 45 min. visit. We will be with Ingleside Animal Hospital FOREVER...unless we move out of TEXAS !

On June 3rd I was traveling from Austin to Port A when I found an injured kitten in the road near Taft. I called multiple clinics from Corpus to Aransas Pass and no one would see her. When I showed up at Ingleside unannounced, they did not hesitate to help. I was able to board the kitten for the weekend and get her the medical help she needed. The staff was amazing and it is very clear they have a passion for helping animals. I highly recommend this clinic. Lucks is safe, healthy and happy living with her new owner in Aransas Pass who will be using IAH moving forward.

Unfortunately, this morning, I accidently shut my new little puppys head in my car door. The whole situation, and the majority of the day has been horrific....my puppy is still barely hanging on. But what's worse, is when we rushed our puppy to the vets office in Ingleside (literally rushed, my husband had no shoes, wallet or phone on him), they refused to start treatment until they had a $400 deposit. Well, our wallet was still at the house. My husband, upset as he rightly should b, said "that's inhumane but we will b right back" cuz we had no choice but to go back to the house to get the wallet. Well when he returns, the vet verbal attacks my husband and tells him we can take our business elsewhere and hands my puppy who is seizuring, drooling at the mouth and whimpering, to my husband, and then says the anti inflammatory shot they gave her is on the house..... thoughts? So we went to floerke in Taft where they treated her right away.

I can not stress enough how happy I am with my first visit to this vet .Pricing was not too bad , and they talked to me about so many things I didn’t know about the breed of my puppy.And lastly, TAYLOR !!!!! She was the technician and absolutely wonderful!She definitely deserves to be acknowledged because she had such a sweet way of handling my puppy .She was able to answer ever question I had and ease my mind about some serious concerns.If you are looking for a vet , you should give them a try … I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Got told we had the sickest dog he had seen all day. We felt something was off and got not one but two second opinions after the doctor couldn’t Diagnose what was even wrong. Got sent home with 4 medications with zero diagnosis just a guess. We were told hypoglycaemia is impossible for dogs. Both vets diagnosed our hunting lab with hypoglycaemia and a simple feed him before his hunts and take treats to keep his energy up. Extremely disappointed it took 2 extra trips to confirm what Dr.Rickey Broussard said was impossible.Staff was amazing though!

Best we've ever met, he is our primary veterinarian & has been for some time. We trust him implicitly to be straight up with us, and to do his very best to help our pets. We are new in town and were a little nervous about a new veterinarian. Dr. Broussard and his staff were amazing. They were caring and very clear about the care of all three of our dogs - ages 1, 10 & 14! Your pets aren't just names in a book. We felt like they treated our dogs the way they would treat their own.

This experience was top notch! Our dogs were rescues as pups. They are now 13 and 14 years old. We lived on a ranch so they were not socialized. The way they handled our dogs was exemplary!The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient.As she was examining or dogs she communicated everything going on.Such a great experience!

Hi there! I'm gladly sharing my experience with Ingleside Animal Hospital and Dr Ricky specifically because I'm glad I've found this vet for my pets!First time I showed up there with my 1,5 year old pit, she was barely walking due to shoulders issues when I got desperate being told by different vets she needs surgery and that's the only solution...Well, not the only one if you'll set appointment with Dr Ricky! He provided alternative treatment; inexpensive and actually perfectly working at least for my dog. Yes it took a bit longer for my baby to get back to enjoy the life - she's a very energized lady like any young pit and it was really hard to keep her calm after the second injection when she felt so well - but, trust me, it worse obstacles and frustration of having your puppy away from you while surgery and recovery. Besides, there's no warranty a surgery will go well, a dog will recover 100% and in general, can take anesthesia without consequences.My second experience with Dr Ricky happened when my dogs harmed a stray cat. Dr Ricky was perfectly right with diagnosis and immediate surgery and the cat, after I picked him up, has no problems, recovered very quickly.Third visit was just regular check up with my new pup and older dog due to the paw issue. And again, quick full exam, diagnosis, treatment and we're off the hospital. Happy and proud because that was the first time my old dog actually walked into vet clinic! Dogs are very sensitive:)Want to mention: the staff at the hospital is always friendly and helpful! The veterinary staff is great! The doctor was very thorough and made some recommendations for my baby that helped. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed. Each caller placed on hold for an unknown reason. That is the only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5. Their prices are reasonable and appointment availability is great. All my fur babies will be their new additions. We are new to the area and love the fact we able to have our babies taken care of.

Been a client here for going on 10 years. Love the ladies at the desk and Dr. Ricky..well..how can you not like him?? Hes honest, caring and quite the loving vet he needs to be. He truly cares for the welfare of both the "fur clients" and the humans as well! It is appreciated. They are the only place I will take my dogs for boarding ...period. I've been taking my dog Daisy to this place for a year for grooming and vet visits she had even stayed in boarding and when I had an emergency with Daisy they completely turned me away! It's sad when your best friend and the very best companion that has been there throughout the worst of times couldn't even be looked at by the person whom I trusted with her care.. needless to say she has been cared for and I will never spend my money nor her time with this place again.. truly heartbroken for the treatment they gave when I didn't know what to do to help Daisy.. shame on you!

2 stars for the Friendly staff. I brought my lulu in on a Monday to see why she was so thin. They insisted it was her teeth and recommended cleaning in 10 days. They gave me Enrofloxacin to give to her daily. On day 3 her left eye was bothering her so I went back and they gave me Meloxidyl for inflammation. On day 4 she started showing sign of seizure(last day I gave her the medication) on day 5 Saturday I took her to back first thing in the morning and asked for a doctor. At this point she was twitching hard / hypersensitive. They said there was no doctor and recommended oso creek emergency. I took her to oso creek same day because she had a 30sec seizure, come to find out she has kidney failure and the medication was triggering the seizures. Sadly our lulu did not make it through the night after 9 years of love an loyalty. The reason I’m writing this is because I’m disappointed when I initially took her in BLOOD WORK should of been performed/recommended FIRST! Instead of assuming Her teeth was the only issue. I understand now kidney failure happens overtime due to dental disease BUT we needed to know she had issues with her kidney prior to giving her medication for her teeth that expedited kidney failure. I know we can’t reverse kidney failure but we could of at least tried to manage it.
