Wow what an experience. Great wines and server/rep was outstanding. Nancy S. (Thin, pretty, Hispanic lady) gave us an education! So great! Nothing even close the rest of our trip. Bread platter was great and wines wonderful! Joined! A must!

Our first vineyard in this area and it’s a good start point. The white we have here is such fragrance. Pleasant to drink. Live music is awesome. Not to mention the beautiful setting here.

I had no idea Texas wine was so good. They’ve really outdone themselves with the tasting room for commoners like myself and the members tasting room as well. The outdoor space is absolutely fantastic and if you want to instagram some photos they have some great photo ops but the wine itself is fantastic, we got a bottle of the cab sav and we met the owner and he was fantastic as well as Peggy and Kaie, they made our experience so wonderful and so memorable. i would go back and back and back again.

I enjoyed a tasting with 2 good friends. Kay was our server and she was excellent! Knowledgeable about the wines and incredibly warm and welcoming. When she learned my friends would soon be celebrating their 44th anniversary, she arranged for a 'special memory' moment. They were able to open a bottle of sparkling wine with a sabre! We then shared a lovely toast by the vines. Thanks for a fabulous visit to enjoy some excellent Texas wine!

Food - 1/5 (picnic lunches are $20)Wine - 3/5 (wine tastings are $30)Service - 2/5Atmosphere - 2/5I’ve been to WC about 4 times. And yet, I’ve never really fallen in love with the place. I’ve had a couple of great times here: both were spontaneous and I just ordered a glass of wine and sat on the lawn. This past time, I was so disappointed. First, the man at the welcome center was nice but didn’t greet me upon arrival. I had to go up, say hi, and then he said hi and asked what was I there for. It was just so awkward. Then, we walk into the wine tasting venue (which is typically reserved for wine club members). Beautiful place by the way. But this lady asks us about our picnic lunches that we reserved. (You have to reserve this at least a day in advance I think and it’s $20) I said yes we have 6 reserved. I’m not sure what was going on that day but everything I said, the staff just looked at me weird and without confirmation or acknowledgment. Again, very awkward. Then I ask if the cookies in the picnic basket has peanuts (since my kid has peanut allergies). One lady jumped up and immediately went to find out. The lady that I initially talked to doesn’t even look up from her iPad and asks “how severe is her allergy?” I turn around and look at her to respond. But as I’m talking and responding to her, she doesn’t even bother looking at me or looking up from her iPad! I feel like that’s just human courtesy- if someone is answering your question, you should look at them. Horrible horrible - just inconsiderate.Eva was our hostess and sommelier. She was really great and friendly but it was pretty slow. We tried 6 wines (I think) and it took 2 hours. I was so ready to go. And our lunch that we ordered for noon didn’t come out until nearly 1pm and I had to ask for it twice. I just felt very unimportant and like my business was not appreciated. The food in the picnic lunch was not very good. The sandwich was very overly mustardy (with grain mustard) and the tomatoes/mozzarella salad was not good at all. I really did like the pasta salad. The cookie was ok. Having a Rambler was nice. Our bottle of tap water was never refilled - there were all these servers walking around and no one refilled our bottle. Like I said, I just felt like we were overlooked and unimportant. The wine is as typical as I remember it. I’ve always liked the Hunter the best and this time around, I still liked Hunter the best.I will give a big shoutout to Cody (or whoever confirmed my reservations through email). He/she was extremely friendly and responsive. I really wish this level of service resonated throughout the entire facility. So, 2 shoutouts to Cody & Eva — really good representation for WC.I really don’t think I will be returning here even if they win more awards. Kuhlman Cellars has wonderful wine and they make me feel special each time I visit. French Connection is the same - the level of service really elevates the experience and wine. I am so thoroughly disappointed at WC.

This was an incredible experience. Beautiful vineyard, delicious wine, excellent charcuterie board, and outstanding tasting experience from Todd!! Do not miss stopping by William Chris - this is one of my favorite winery experiences ever. Ask for Todd if you can - he knows his wine, timed the experience perfectly, and made us feel so well taken care of!

Wonderful wine tasting! Best wine we have had from Texas! Nancy was very knowledgeable and an excellent representative of the company! Highly recommend! We would have loved to join the wine club but they can’t ship to Arkansas. Purchased Grenache and Hunter.

Our ambassador, Kaie, represented this winery with so much warmth and passion. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Texas winemaking and super accommodating. She adjusted our tastings "on the fly" which allowed each person to get what they were wanting. She also came out with us into the vineyard to snap some pics.

Nine of my bookclub members visited WilliamChris Vineyards this past Monday for a lovely wine tasting experience! The first thing you see on arrival is a pretty setting with a beautiful vista filled with their grapes being grown! The tasting room is light-filled and beautifully appointed. Our wine guide, Dawn, was wonderful! She was knowledgeable and was sweet to answer even the crazy questions we threw at her. The six Texas grown wines we tasted were all very good, and we each had a favorite. We loved hearing the history of how the winery got started in 2008.We shared an amazing charcuterie board that was beautifully presented. The highlight of our visit was a surprise appearance by co owner, Chris Brundrette! Outside on the grounds are many pretty places to gather or just sit and enjoy these delicious wines. It’s the best experience of all the wineries in the Fredricksburg area… and there are a lot!!!THANK YOU CHRIS AND DAWN from The BookEnds Bookclub of Fort worth, Texas!

So this is possibly one of the best wineries in the area. The staff is absolutely FANTASTIC! This winery offers a complimentary glass when you visit them, which is something that I haven't ever received from the surrounding wineries in the 5 years of visiting. Another cool thing about this winery that I haven't seen anywhere else - you can get up close and personal with the grapes. There are also no "restricted" or "members only" areas. This place was everything that I kept wanting the wineries to be. And to top it off, the cheese plate was pretty reasonably priced and very big with a wealth of choices. If you're not a red wine drinker, don't let that deture you. This wine might change your mind. But on the off chance that you don't like it, the staff will at least be good company. And there is no one I recommend more than mrs. Kaie. I learned more on this tasting than most of my other tasting combined. She was fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will most certainly be back.

Finally made it out to this amazing gem of hill country. I can’t say enough about the awesome welcoming staff. Showed up accidentally at closing time, but Zinn was overwhelmingly welcoming regardless, allowing us to walk around the property and taste a rose’ on the house. We ended up returning the next day (during better business hours) and still had an amazing tasting experience- our ambassador Janice was super knowledgeable and fun to spend time tasting wine with. The grounds are impeccable and note worthy to experience. Loved all the wine too and I loved especially how they explained the origin of the grapes, story behind naming, how the wines came about etc. 10/10 recommend.

We loved our visit to William Chris. We were in town for our anniversary and decided to visit the vineyard for a tasting. Josh was great! He had a lot of knowledge about the different wines and was very personable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. 10/10 service!

Jonathan gave us the curated William Chris experience…spoiling us with well crafted pairings of local wines and great bites from Exec Chef Julie and Sous chef Josh. Our taste buds lit up with the 2019 Tannat varietal w/ the espresso rub prime strip steak. Absolutely decadent and luxurious experience for two lovers on a Wednesday.Give love to Jonathan as he embarks on level 3 sommelier cert!

In an area with plentiful wineries & vineyards, it comes down to the way each business handles its guests. In WCV’s case, it excelled in this aspect and Nancy had everything to do with that. Oh and the fact that the wine is fantastic doesn’t hurt. A must visit.

We did the Vineyard table experience. Our host Nancy S was top notch. Best experience we’ve had since we’ve been coming around this area. Highly recommend the experience and highly recommend getting Nancy S as your host if you can. She was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. The wines were fantastic. Definitely need to make this a stop if you’re coming this way. Y’all won’t regret it.

My friend is a wine club member and their club room is stunning. It was a lovely tasting and our server was so sweet and brought out a sparkling wine for me to try when I said it was my favorite. She remembered and it was such a lovely surprise! I don’t remember her name, but blonde woman with glasses. Please thank her for us!

We had wanted to get to William Chris for a while, and we were not disappointed when we did! Beautiful views, a wonderful staff member named Kay who was very kind to us, and a perfect “picnic lunch” with our dogs on the deck with a beautiful glass of wine. What’s not to like?

My family and I were in Fredericksburg, TX for the week of Christmas (from Ohio), and it was suggested that we check out William Chris Vineyards. So, I DO like wine, mostly reds, but going in, I wasn't really sure what to expect, mainly because I'm more of a beer person. I have to say, my "fun meter" was a bit skeptical since I've never done a wine tasting. Our guide (can't remember his name because I'm a horrible person - just that he was originally from Canada which made me feel better that someone was more 'northerner' than me) he did a great job giving us the fascinating history, and of course educating me on how wine is made. We had some reds that were probably the finest I can remember in recent history. Enchante, Hunter, and a few others. I'm far from a wine connoisseur, but I know the difference between good wine, decent wine, and un-drinkable wine. Theirs were all good, even the white that I normally don't care for was good. But their red blends were fantastic, and I can now see how people can knock back multiple bottles in an evening. Highly entertaining, highly enjoyable, super friendly and laid back atmosphere - we had a great time. Also, the restroom was possibly the cleanest restroom I've ever seen. They are highly rated for a reason. 👍 🍷Anyway, I'm back to work and reality now, and still thinking about Texas.

We visited William Chris Vineyards for the first time this past weekend and Josh (Bob) hosted us in the tasting room. The wine was wonderful and he shared his favorite called Hunter with us (which was also our favorite) and said it pairs well with lamb. Wanted to say thank you for the wonderful experience and inspiring our dinner plans. Pairing it with lamb was incredible!
