Mo Ranch is the best places for a getaway for a large group or small group. Whether it’s a couple one, a romantic weekend or a family vacation this place is one of Texas’s best hidden gems. The staff at Mo Ranch is always friendly and attentive, excellent service in every way. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a day getaway, a week long retreat, a conference or just a peaceful weekend alone. This place cannot be beat!PS, you can even camp there in your own tent or in a cabin as well. 🏕️🤩💕

This camp is fantastic. I came here as a student and for the first time, this week I came back as a leader with my high school daughter.

We had blast at Mo-Ranch. Will certainly be returning for more fun. The ropes camp was great and the staff was beyond helpful and kind. This a really great experience for the whole family.

Absolutely stunning views of the Guadelupe River, amazing conference staffs and housing. I’ve stayed in Loma-Linda in the winter and Wynn-Plato in the summer and it’s extraordinary how well kept they are. The services provided are the best i’ve had in a church retreat.God bless!

Excellent place to get away with enough to get the kids out of the hotel room for some fun while still offering amenities like wifi. I loved that there was no television in our Casita and we were able to enjoy time together as a family. The river was crystal clear and the kids had a blast.

Nice place to relax and unplug from electronics. Even though the rooms have wifi, they have no tv. We stayed in the Apt so we could cook if need be and so we had more room(s). The Apt has a king bed, pull out couch bed, and a rollaway. We had 5 people, so this worked for us.There are other upgraded room options for 4 people or less. Also, there are bigger places such as a Manor or houses to rent. Can look at their website. You can take small hikes, swim, and canoe up and down the river. There is a huge slide that goes out into the river ( look at YouTube videos). They do have summer youth camps, but they have their dorms elsewhere. My only hang-up was I wish the buffet food for both lunch and dinner was good. My kids did like only the breakfast buffet, though. We we're disappointed. Especially as it's a little costly for the meal tickets. Also, there are no soda options, not even sugar-free or zeros.Unfortunately, we weren't there on the days the Red Wagon was open there, or we would have done that instead. For the price, the scenic views, off the grid, and the river...I'd say it's worth it.

We just had our family Reunion there and could not have picked a better place! The staff was INCREDIBLE ! Blanca, Katherine, Sally and Marco went above and beyond to accomodate us, in ways that they normally do not function. There are no words to show how appreciative the Reuinion Committee is because of their efforts. Now, the scenery is nothing sort of breathtaking and really confirms that only GOD could do this. The river was the best! My four year old grand-daughter even went on the slide! There were a few glitches with the lodges that we had reserved, but within 30 minutes of arriving, maintenance was on the scene to fix the gargabe disposal. A water leak forced a section of our family to move to another lodge, which was actually a blessing! They were right next to the auditorium we reserved for our reunion! I have heard nothing but praises on how beautiful Mo-Ranch is. Photos do not do this place any justice..you have to see to believe. My only advice to MO-Ranch is to build more lodges.... Thank you again and God Bless each of you!

This place and people are wonderful! I had an extended stay and every single person who worked there, including Property Manager - Sally, the cleaning, cooking, maintenence, bookstore, front desk...EVERYONE was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were super clean, nice, and honestly, there was nothing I needed that wasn't there. Very entertaining for the kids. If you are mobility challenged, I recommend getting a golf cart. Beautiful location!!

There's a river and the water is crystal clear you can see down to the floor in 6 ft deep water and it is a good place for using a snorkel and goggles as the water can be deep in places and shallow in others theres a dam too theres an upper level to.the dam and a lower the lower has a real shallow layer of rock that slowly gets deep and the upper level has seagrass all along the floor and thats only the river theres also a cat walk with great views in every direction a small church a playground near the church and even a snack shack near the playground then there are cabins you can rent for about 100$ each but its worth it there are spescific times when there are no one at the cabins but you and other times when its packed the cabins can hold up to 8 + people if you bring extra mattresses then at night if no one has any lights on its pitch black and you can see so many stars and there are trails you can take that lead around the park and there are a lot of places with cliff faces and theres a summer camp for kids its a bit pricey ($800 for 1 kid for 2 weeks) but it is definently worth it with tons of things including archery kayaking and many other things so in conclusion its a really great place to visit

A Gem of the Hill CountryMo-Ranch Presbyterian Conference Center is near Kerrville, Texas along the Guadeloupe River. Generations of "summer campers" know about Mo, but it offers all types of retreat events for adults and children alike. My agency really likes Mo-Ranch because the center does not require a contract for overnight accommodations, which my group of 25 people have used for seven years for training and workshops. Recent capital improvements included renovation of hotel rooms that compare with well-known business hotels. I judge hotels by their bathrooms, and no exaggeration: my showerhead was better than the one I used earlier this year in one of Houston's newest luxury hotels. The ranch offers all types of accommodations either on the river or high in the hills overlooking hundreds of acres. Opened 24/7, they even have a "Polar Bear Plunge" into the river on New Year's Day that was featured in National Geographic.Mo-Ranch Presbyterian Conference Center is a church-based retreat center but does not exclude visitors of other faiths. It's easy to reach either from state highway 27 in Kerrville to highway 39 to highway 1340 at Hunt, from Interstate 10. But choose Highway 27, which will take you to 11 scenic water crossings that follow the same route stage coaches used to take.

Wonderful people, amenities were very enjoyable by us and also the kids. We will take lots of memories and inspiration from this trip! My only little issue was that some of the food could have been warmer at times? Highly recommend for a God seeking family.

Great place to take kids for a school retreat. Slightly dated, but for large groups it really has that old summer camp feel. Sleeping in large dorms, outdoor activities, lots of classroom space, excellent cafeteria, and especially helpful staff. There are hotel/motel type accomodations available if needed also, but the students really enjoy the campy dormitories also. One of the nicest lodgimgs is manor house if you have 32 or so of the same gender group. It has that old Spanish Mansion feel with 8 bedrooms and 2 good sized meeting rooms.

My family & I have been to Mo Ranch multiple times over the years and thoroughly enjoy the camping experience. The summer nights there are typically cool & devoid of mosquitoes which is odd for TX. Swimming @ the river is a blast for the whole fam. Who can resist swinging by rope into an icy cold river when’s its 100 in TX! Wonderful place to make memories.

Wonderful rural, but easily accessible, ranch property near Hunt, TX. Wonderful for family reunions or retreats with multiple options for housing and meeting space. Spacious dining hall. Great riverside access, along with hiking opportunities. Specialized retreat opportunities are offered.

Superb service by the staff; seafood excellent and lobster bisque my favourite w salmon a second. Traditional fare was good. Key lime pie was sweet with the right amount of tartness and good flavour, creamy and cold - I got a second slice; also seconds on the bisque. Staff checked on us frequently and brought coffee, tea, and water. We will return often, bringing more friends and family.

The ranch is beautiful. Nice facility. Come here every year. However, if you have a problem, then supposedly there's no one above the lifeguards to talk to. That's scary. So, the only recreational time we have in the water and we have to get out because there is thunder that's about 10 miles away. No rain. No lighting. Just thunder and slightly overcast. And that's it. We have to listen to a high school student with no one higher than him. No supervisor on location to handle customer service complaints or employee complaints, executive decisions about the facilty. Wow. Melanie wasn't the least bit helpful. I could have my 9 year old do a better job handling questions.

Awesome retreat site. I love the quiet and relaxing view of the Guadalupe river. The fierce speed of the water slide. The classic and strong canoes that provide a swift experience on quiet waters. The lodges are excellent and filled with rejuvenating air. The view is absolutely gorgeous from the bottom of the hill to the top. A view so astonishing even the DJI drone would shed tears of joy from its crystal clear lenses. I loved my experience there with everyone and with nature.

Beautiful grounds. Buildings old and smelly. Food 🥘 mediocre at best. Keep the lights on at night - to keep the cockroaches away. We stayed in the two room suite with kitchen. Two adults and 2 kids. Our biggest concern was safety. None of the doors had latches on. Front door 🚪 leading to the outside could be locked 🔒, however both of my kids, ages 18m and 3yrs, could easily unlock, open and go outside, ground level with woods around . No tension rod on the door. They did it a number of times with easy effort. Back door 🚪, leading to the halfway, same thing. Only a handle -no lock no latch. The kids would open it and run out. This was a big issue for us at night, when parents sleeping 💤 one of our child gets up at night to go bathroom. We had to put chairs against the back door and the couch against the front door.

My family and I stayed in Wynne/Flato for my birthday weekend. The drive thru the Hill Country from San Antonio was beautiful and we were not disappointed when we reached Mo Ranch. The facility looked a little dated in the hallways but inside the rooms were spacious and accommodating (if you're looking for a getaway this place is it, there wasn't even a TV in our room but I was ok with that). As a Housekeeping Supervisor I am a little more particular about standards and the cleaning staff did not disappoint, the room smelled fresh upon entry, there was no dust, and linens were fresh and tidy. There was even a spacious balcony overlooking the grounds. The staff when called for extra pillows & amenities was very pleasant and quickly responded. The grounds are excellently maintained. We enjoyed canoeing, the rope swing & the fantastic slide. Our night ended with a BBQ buffet by the river that knocked our socks off. In all in all this was a wonderful place to spend time with the family, we will be back.

The staff here was so friendly! Hosted a youth retreat here for a group about 70 people and they were so accommodating. The staff was always nearby to help. We made some last minute changes and they weren't phased. The food was pretty good for camp food. The place itself is beautiful! We drove 5 hours to get here and it was worth it!

The property itself is quite beautiful and peaceful. The staff, mostly friendly, however we were there for a wedding and found them to be rediculously unaccommodating for a group of over 100 ppl which was thousands and thousands of dollars for event. I could go on and on but wont give my energy to that negatively. Its unfortunate how poorly this property is operated. Letters to property managers after the event have gone unacknowledged nearly 3 weeks later.
