Our service dog desperately needed shoes as to the 100+ temps with no rain here in Houston! So we went into Petco, and the guy who helped us found a great set of shoes for her, and they were a great price. Everyone there was friendly and so helpful.

We did the Self pet wash station recommend for u to bring your own shampoo and brushes theirs were full of hairs n dirty shampoo is more water than shampoo. The dryer did not blow but it's not crowded

I don't remember the cashier's name, I can't even remember my own name sometimes but she had pink hair. She has the most pleasant customer service, I love her personality, she is just so sweet and professional. Our experience there last night was awesome.

I was able to pick a time to groom my pets on the same day. Which was convenient. Every other groomer in the area was booked for a week or two. They did an outstanding job. My pets looked precious when they were done and I could watch my babies get groomed. I will use petco grooming services again! I shopped around andBought a couple of outfits and food also. Customized some name tags just enjoyed the experience.

I visit Petco every 6 weeks to get my Bichon Friese groomed. The groomers are well trained as they do a great job! My only concern is the cost, which averages $106.00, (that includes tip). While they do an excellent job, I have been thinking of finding a more reasonable groomer. I guess you get what you pay for and I have only been dissatisfied once, which Petco rectified quickly. In the meantime, I will stay with Petco.

I switched pet food delivery from Chewy (still the best) to Petco simply because it was a bit cheaper & Petco offered "same-day delivery" on all of my auto-ship orders. Lately, they neglected to notify me on pending auto-ship orders causing items that I don't need to ship, and all of my orders are now taking days for delivery. NO MORE SAME-DAY DELIVERY! I'm still waiting almost a week now on food for my cat, and my dog's food won't even be picked up by UPS for another couple of days, also pushing out delivery another week. Unacceptable! I might as well go into the store. Going back to Chewy! Should have never left. Even Chewy has next-day! Bye!

Self wash stations are disgusting. They don’t clean the stations or the tools like combs, scrubbers or towels after each washing and half the equipment are broken. There is hair and other debris from prior washes in the station and the staff don’t bother to clean or sanitize the station when you point it out.

Lady working around the fish area was extremely rude, she was saying she was going to take pictures of me to send to her husband without my consent. WHAT A CREEP! DO BETTER!She was being very strange and i felt threatened. She even told me ALL OF MY FISH WERE GONNA DIE in the tank which is so unprofessional! who does that like come on. Be on the lookout for this woman don’t let her do the same to you. She had shorter dark brown hair and glasses.

After our mobile groomer’s pricing increased we decided to give this Petco a try and we are happy we did! Ryley does a great job with our pup and we pay nearly half of what we did for our mobile groomer. He always enjoys his time with her and looks great!

The cashier was really nice and helpful! She had to ask the manager a question about the items I purchased, the manager proceeded to say “I don’t have time for this” right in my face and was no help at all. Extremely extremely rude. Need new management.

I just left from Petco the the vet lady or helper I don’t know who she was she didn’t even told me her name or who she was . She Was mad because I got there 2 minutes late I was coming from church. Even the receptionist told me she doesn’t like when people is not there in time but only two minutes I understand if it was more than that and she made me wait for about 15 minutes which it was normal for me but when she got there she told me to put my dog down from the bed because she had to ask me some questions first but she as so rude once she was talking to me . So I decided to leave . I will never go back to take my dogs .

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this already. Been coming to this location for years, since before the remodel. This is by far the best petco location. The ONLY one I will shop at. I check all of em out of curiosity, but I only shop at this location!The staff relationship with eachother is worthy of a sitcom. The people are friendly, funny, kind, caring people. They seem to all be happy working together. Y'all did a great job picking your people. Great atmosphere. I've yet to meet a grouchy employee at this location. The cashier's are always super friendly and nice. The walk around staff is super helpful and know where everything is.As an avid fish keeper, I cannot express the gratitude I have for the Keepers who work there. Petco staff gets a bad rep for fish care. But at this particular location they seem to be honest people who care about the animals. I shop many many many fish stores in the Houston area, this one particular petco is the ONLY petco I'll get fish from.In 4 yrs, I still have almost all of the fish that I've bought from them. One jumped the tank, that was on me. The others I no longer have were either rehomed or aged out. And I LOVE that they house them according to compatibly. They do a great job of not mixing incompatible species together. I've seen that a LOT at other locations, but not this one. The fish are usually in good condition. I imagine the keepers who work there are only allowed to do so much for them but what they do shows in the quality of the fish, or more so, the lack of stress signs exhibited by the fish.I do use Quarantine tanks and pre-emptive treatments though. So I don't run the risk of contamination on my main tanks. Even still, the fish rarely have issues related to store, most issues are from shipping and stress. However I can usually spot a disease immediately and know what to look for so that could play a role in my success with petco fish. But in QT they still rarely have disease to treat.The downside is they only sell herbal remedies and natural meds. Won't cure a disease outbreak. But it can prevent it if you use it preemptively. Have to go else where for good meds to fight actual infections. Aquarium salt only goes so far with some diseases. Pretty much if it's not parasites or something really minor, you'll have to go elsewhere for meds.Also the Seachem's Prime is out of stock a lot. If it is in stock, it's the smallest bottles marketed. Prime sells fast, I get that, but like, bruh, y'all gotta order more lol or get bigger bottles. Amazon runs out and y'all are in my hood lol I'm just saying, it'd be a whole lot more convenient if y'all had the bigger bottles of something so highly rated and valuable to keeping.I do wish y'all had more signs up about the Nitrogen cycle. Your fish guys can't be everywhere 24/7 and too many people join the fb groups with "Petco fish all died! They didn't tell me about cycling!" I mean it's everywhere. Just put up a banner or poster or something big that says "The Nitrogen Cycle is what keeps fish alive in an aquarium". That could save a lot of bad rep.And by cycle I mean grow a Beneficial Bacteria colony large enough to oxidize the ammonia the fish naturally produce before they poison themselves with it.FYI to the unknowing, it takes 2 wks-4 mos to cycle a tank from scratch,, speed depends on experience. You shouldn't put your fish in there before you see at least 20+ppm nitrate, 0 ammonia, and 0 nitrite. If you're not seeing those numbers, it is not a fish safe or ready.Overall, this is location is one of my favorite pet stores. Probably get more fish from this specific location than any actual fish stores in the area. I've actually had better luck with these fish than some of the more famous fish stores fish. Good range in stock options and the prices for quality can't be beat. Just gotta pick the good ones and hope a Keeper is working. Y'all really do an outstanding job!Attached are some pics of quality fish I've bought from them and still have years later!

Questioned a particular "dog treat" that was not marked for their "Sale: buy one; get one". Young lady went to the front of store, checked to find that the one I wanted was, indeed, one of the sale items. Then, "only one of the one I wanted". Unannounced to me, she went to the back, as truck had just arrived...and found the items I wanted. I did not get her name, but she was one of two people who went out of their way to help me. As a proud pet parent to three dogs and two cats, I find myself visiting our local Petco quite frequently. Their online ordering process is lightning-fast, and their curbside and in-store pick-up services have been consistently speedy. I've had the pleasure of experiencing this exceptional service twice in the last two months, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in our neighborhood. Rest assured, I plan to remain a loyal customer of this location for all my pet supply needs.

Usually has most of what I need but not everytime. Have never had a bad experience with any employees until the other day when I went. He couldnt be more annoyed to answer my question. Even told me to "walk and talk" because he was busy. Luckily he doesnt refleft the entire store.

Ok, so we started with a rough start.. However, two things you have to know about brining your pet to this grooming establishment in Petco. 1) bring with you the RABIES certificate not the full shot record that may or may not have the vaccination dates writing instead of typed. 2) believe me when I tell you, your babies will be extremely well taking care of. Skyler & the other associate that am sorry I cannot recall your name were amazing at taking care of my four legged babies. Can’t wait to need your services again and no worries, I will have my new family addition with Texas papers instead of Georgia vet papers. Thank you all. 💐

Unfortunately I have to readjust my rating we bought 10 red eye tetras when we brought home we noticed severe fin rot ( most of them had top fin ls gone .. and the green strip tetras all had cotton mouth deasease .. though I tried to treat and am still treating sadd to say all green tetras are gone red eyed tetras are looking up with polygaurd but I won't be returning any fish till treatment is completed ( I'm not going back and forth to return fish) luckily since I bought in store I have 30 days..

Horrible walked in, and they put a collar around his neck to where my 6 month old was pulling and the employee was pulling making my puppy choke. At that moment I took the collar off and placed our collar back on. Their manager Sarah then informed me they couldn't see my ouppy if he couldn't sit still. In my opinion, when your staff is choking my dog he can do whatever to get away. I will never go back here again and will never recommend this place for anyone. I walked out and came somewhere else. As I left I told them I would take our money elsewhere and they were laughing. Goes to show the type of people they would hire there.

I did not have a pleasant experience from this Vetco. Or from any Petco/Vetco place since I have moved to Texas. The vet tech was not friendly and spoke to me like I was an idiot. My dog also was uncomfortable with the environment. My dog had tests done and they didn’t tell me if it was positive or negative. I asked questions and the lady still proceeded to talk to me like I was dumb. Or as if I should know certain things already. The customer service was off for sure. They also said my dog was aggressive. She is a cane corso they are big dogs 100%. My dog park was barking quite a bit, not an aggressive bark just a nervous where am I. I can see that being a bit intimidating but when I asked the vet tech to explain exactly what my dog did she said before she was about to get her shots her eyes got big and she moved back. I’m not a tech or vet but that sounds freaked out not aggressive. They proceeded to muzzle her and give her the shots. My dog has been going to Petcos since I have had her for over a year now and we have never had any type of issues whatsoever. So with that being said I did not have a good experience. I also called the store shortly after my experience to speak with someone and the front desk person said someone would contact me within 24 hours it has been well over that. 0/5 for me

They had some of what I needed. However. One thing to address which is a corporation issue. The reptiles need bigger enclosures. Even in a sales environment, these are WAY undersized.

We have been caring for two litters of kittens, 5 total. We have been buying the feeding kits containing a bottle and multiple nipples. Unfortunately the nipples do not last very long with kittens that are teething.We have been Ok with buying multiple kits in order to have enough nipples but our local store keeps running out of feeding kits (and formula) which drives us to Amazon.

Petco Grooming did a great job on our dog. Shampoo, hair trimmed, nails clipped, and teeth cleaning. We don't get the nail buffing. Our dog's nails stay sharp even after buffing.
