It’ll be almost two months since we got Yoshi from ABC Birds, Yoshi has accommodated well with us and we are happy to have her! We had an amazing and welcoming experience with the staff and know they are always glad to help out with questions. We also bought a playstand from there with some toys and so far Yoshi has been enjoying playing on there.

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year now. ABC Birds is extremely knowledgeable about the different species of birds. Their willingness (especially Sam) to help you find the perfect bird companion went above and beyond my expectations. You can tell that they truly are passionate about parrots and want their babies to go to the perfect long term home. It is the only parrot store that I know of that gives a 30 day guarantee on their birds.

Knowledgeable and friendly. They were genuinely enthusiastic about educating me as a novice bird handler, and even let me interact with different birds so I could find the right match for my level of experience. Because they took this extra time being helpful and kind, I felt confident in my eventual purchase of a female Senegal. Happy to now be apart of the ABC Birds family.

This shop offers high-quality supplies for parakeets and larger birds, including fresh millet that is not old and is a good amount. My four parakeets love it when I bring them toys and new perches for them.

I got my turquoise green cheek conure from here 3 years ago. I come here every month for her food. ABC birds is the only pet store that actually sells bird food, and not just seeds. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and there’s always a large variety of toys in stock.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I got a indian ring neck. After 8 months, I have had a concern about her wings not growing out. Now, they keep saying it's her bad health or that she may cause harm to herself. That's not the case, so I explained my case, and the owner just laughed at my face. So I'm so glad I recorded the call and am taking legal action after I visit the vet to prove she is in perfect health. And that is nothing on our end. I would not come here and buy nothing ever again they didn't even try to make it right. So be careful before you spend over $1,000 to not be help like you expect.

I don’t even know where to start. I was looking for an all white cockatiel all over the place. Facebook groups, Marketplace, breeders, Craigslist, pet stores all around the Houston area, etc. I was tipped off the ABC Birds having one in a Facebook bird group, and contacted them right away.They were very helpful and even allowed me to purchase her over the phone due to living 45 minutes away. When I went out to see her with the kids to see if it was a good fit, the staff was patient and helpful showing my 4 and 5 year old how to handle her. She still a baby but was already very tame because of the attention they give the birds.When I didn’t find the cage I wanted in stock there they allowed me to keep her there while I waited for one to come in that I ordered. They kept her a week with no complaints or hesitation.When I arrived to take her home, but foods, treats, toys, and other supplies they answered a million questions including ones that had to be annoying being a first time bird owner. Once again they were kind, patient, and understanding. I spent more there on all of these things there than I paid for the bird to spoil her and give her a good home.They offer a 30 day timeframe to let you adjust and bring her back if it doesn’t work out, no questions asked. They obviously care not only about the birds having the right home, but their customers as well. Before leaving they told me to call with any questions, and even asked me to come visit with her sometime so they can she her grow. They offer free shipping for orders over $50, and even though I can get things local at Petco or PetSmart I won’t. I’ll probably pay a bit more vs a big chain store, but my experience there makes me not care one bit.I wish every business had a staff this involved and helpful. I can’t say enough good about them to justify it, but I hope it’s clear enough that you earned a lifelong customer.My kids couldn’t be happier to see her!

ABC birds is the place to go for all your birds needs, I recently got my second cockatiel (Arlo) here and I couldn’t be more happy with my decision to go here. The customer service is great and they put a lot of care into raising loving birds. Also buying your bird here comes with its perks, discount on food, toys and you can bring your bird in to get their wings clipped for free anytime! I will definitely be buying from them again in the future ❤️

This place is good to board our bird. It was kind of expensive for boarding a cockatiel per day. My first time with them was good. However, on my second time, when I picked my bird up after over a month, the cage wasn't cleaned. And they only offer a discount if you board your birds over two months.

Phenomenal owner and loved the availability of bird toys and treats! We are currently evacuated from the hurricane and needed bird seed for our two eclectus parrots. We truly enjoyed the kindness of them. He even offered us a sample bag of organic seed to try out and said he would ship it to us when we got home if they enjoyed it! Our kid's enjoyed looking around and choosing toys for our birds! And they had a BEAUTIFUL & SUPER RARE McCaw in their shop. So precious!

They are INCREDIBLE. I’ve never in my life had this good of customer service at any establishment. I drove from Texarkana and they were so welcoming and attentive to me and my family. They were extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right baby for our family. We ended up with an Indian Ringneck. I can’t say enough how thankful I am ❤️ We absolutely love our Tiki!

Its easy to see that the owners are extremely knowledgeable of many details of any specific birds. They hire qualified staff to participate too. They are hands down THE BEST place to visit for your first bird, or if you are considering an advanced life long investment to a new feathered friend.

We adopted our 10 year old Goffin cockatoo this weekend an hour after we picked up our Latino Indian ringneck from the breeder out in the country. since they’re friends with our breeder we went over there to get a cage and came out with Abby our new cockatoo - and she is our second cockatoo since our 35 year old lesser sulfur died last year. We are extremely satisfied with the customer service they go out of their way to help you find exactly what kind you need exactly what food you need and a lot of incentives come with buying a bird don’t be deterred by the prices discounts galore and they let the bird that you buy pick out its own toy ! We are very very satisfied with our Bird she is the right fit for us and they found us the right one when we told him that we were talking about getting another cockatoo so I highly recommend them and if you don’t see the cage that you want in the store they will go into their warehouse a couple doors down and find you one. Also when you buy a bird there you do get lifetime wing trims on any bird that you have as long as you bought a bird from them in the past I cannot say enough good about them and they need to win some newspaper awards or something because adventures in Birds in Houston is horrible their owner a lady is known for being rude to customers and picking on them and they do not do this over there now if you don’t understand something they will train you and teach you which is necessary because exotics require education . Even though I live in the heightsit is worth a drive to go down there and get proper education and customer service for your birds! What didn’t even think that we would get the right cockatoo again and we got one that is very similar but much nicer than ours that we lost last winter. Another thing that unlike adventures in birds they don’t stop talking to you or helping you just because another customer comes in somebody else goes to help that customer they focus their attention on finishing what they started with you and that speaks volumes because most stores will not do that if you’re not buying right right away the walk off on your face but not this place.

We love our cockatiel. She is soooo sweet (and beautiful)! It was obvious she was well cared for and handled frequently as a baby; she was tame from the moment we got her. The owner and staff at ABC Birds was very helpful during the process of deciding to get a bird and all along the way (they even sent pictures of our bird as she matured from a hatchling until we got her). We're glad we came to them for our cockatiel : )

If you are really wanting a bird as a new member of the family like us this is the place to go. The owners and staff love these birds and it shows. This is Phizzgig. We got to visit with several different types of birds before this guy chose us. The owners and staff thoroughly informed us on care and all the things to do to help it be a smooth transition. We got the cage, toys, food, and all at the same place. Phizzgig is such a sweet guy, he is pretty quiet unless you start talking to him and he loves to be loved.Thank you ABC Birds for our new family member!

I just got a beautiful yellow sided green cheek conure from ABC birds and I was so impressed with how thorough they were in making sure I knew how to care for him. They made sure I knew I could contact them for any questions at all about him. The birds seemed so happy and healthy. Ziggy already knew step up and was obviously very used to handling. This place is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new bird companion or anything they might need for their feathered family member.
