We are extremely happy with the service delivered for our golden doodle. A big shout out to Erika, who made Frida look fabulous. It was our first time coming to the pet barber, and we appreciate that Erika took the time to listen to the style of grooming we wanted for our baby! We believe the prices are reasonable for everything we got. The best part, they have open play! Pets are able to play and socialize while waiting to get groomed. Once they are done, and while you go pick up your pet, they are able to continue to socialize with groomed dogs! I am looking forward to having my pup get happy when she goes to The Pet Barber!

First time here. I even showed pictures I wanted. The face is super choppy and uneven. The feet were needed more works. The groomer’s attitude was not pleasant to deal with.

Really great service, however it is one of the more expensive groomers I’ve used. It’s likely they use the best products; I’ve never had my shih tzus feel so fluffy and soft. And their clean aroma lasts longer too

Our first experience at the Pet Barber was amazing! Ro did a beautiful job grooming our labradoodle who can be a bit anxious and wiggly. All of the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

I am very pleased with how Ro handled and cared for my Shepherd/Husky mix, Jango. He's 95 pounds, and still under 2 years old. He can be quite a handful, but Ro did an excellent job with my boy!! All the staff here are great! Very professional, kind, and obviously love dogs! The price was less than what I was expecting, too. Fabulous experience! I will be back!

I’ve been coming here since April to get my dog groomed and they do a great job! They also have a great dental cleaning service that did wonders for my dog’s teeth and breath. Diane the manager is extremely responsive and truly cares about the dogs that visit. She goes beyond the scope of her job to make sure that any issues are resolved. I’m very impressed with the Pet Barber.

My Pup Daisy and and I couldn't be happier with Cindy, Paul and the entire staff at The Pet Barber. Their care and concern is personal, not only for Daisy, but for us. The camomile spa treatments are a must and the grooming is perfect, even for a Lagotto! Daisy also comes home weekly with a handmade bow in her hair from Cindy...(the icing on the dog bone). Daisy's tail is always "a waggin" after a day at The Pet Barber. If you want the best of the best, give The Pet Barber a try. You will and your pet will be glad you did!!!! Woof! Woof! I have been taking my maltipoo, Marley, to the Pet Barber since he was 7 month old, he is almost 3 years old now. Zaida F. has always been his groomer and done a stellar job. He is always beautifully groomed and I know she takes great care of him (even spoiled). I highly recommend them.

Brought my labradoodle here and the last two times have been terrible. They kept my dog for over 9 hours and was rushing to get to her within the last hour. This time she was completely shaven. They didn’t even ask for permission, they just did it. I spoke to the groomer and he said he had to do it because she was matted. But they did it without so much as a phone call to ask for permission? Since when groomers can take liberties and do things to your puppy without your permission? It was honestly the fastest way to groom her and they can still charge a lot of money. Poor communication and poor customer service. I guess I should have been wary when I picked up my puppy the last time and another dog owner was very unhappy with them. Will not return.

After being a customer for more than 2-years and having spent about ~2.4K in grooming services (24services $100dls average per visit) plus referring multiple friends to this groomer. I was basically dismissed from coming back again by the owner after I complained about a bad grooming experience and asked for a refund which she granted along with the invitation of not coming back. Note that my refund inquiry was completely respectful.Last month, I dropped my dog to the new Kirby location to find him shaved when I picked him up. I explained to the staff member that was not what I have asked for, which she knew exactly what I was referring to, and she agreed immediately. She told me, I would receive a 20 dls credit towards the next groom which I initially agreed. Later that night, as I received a 116 dls invoice and after having seen my dog more carefully, I replied by email and explained that while I understand it may have been a bad day for the groomers, I found unfair to be charged that amount for a bad groom and proceeded to send the picture of my expectation and the result (picture also added to this review).Kristen replied in a defensive way, explained she was a co-owner and proceeded to tell me it had been a communication mistake between the groomer and me. I told her that I had even showed the groomer a picture of a magazine they had at the desk to explain I wanted for him a short version of a Bichon cut. Having been there 23 times prior, I would expect them to know what has been done to him before.Kristen reluctantly refunded my money, she proceeded to tell me I could find another groomer in the future, which I absolutely did.I however want to update my last review and make other customers aware of this, so you consider how specific you have to be to get the desired result, the very disappointing customer service. At the other 2 locations, I always had good experiences and my dog looked great, the Kirby one not at all.My choice of bringing my dog here was based on the quality of the groomers and to support local family own business. Which it had been a good experience for the prior 23 times. That specific day I was being tolerant of a bad day for a business and asked them to be fair as well. Never did I expect the owner to invite me to find another groomer (LOL)… I actually thought she would apologize and would just move on.I did notice my dog was not as calm and happy after the last grooming experiences. He was scared of the brush which he used to love. I think the new groomers were rougher that usual, he is a senior (15yo). I am happy to have found another groomer and take my $$$ elsewhere. The pet barber is not longer what it used to be.————————————————-Best groomer in town. My dog comes back looking wonderful and happy.

Excellent place for pet grooming - we struggled to find a groomer who could handle our 100lb Great Pyrenees, but thankfully found it at The Pet Barber. Victoria was knowledgeable and confident when I stopped in to inquire; the owner, Paul, even personally handled our dog. These folks take real pride in what they do - yours will be in excellent hands here. We'll be back for another groom! Thank you!

The best!!! They do an absolutely amazing job every time and it’s very easy to book appointments. The best part is they don’t keep my dog for 6-7 hours just for grooming, like other places. They have her in and out within 3-4 hours.

I love the Pet Barber. I’ve taken my wheaten terrier there for the last 7 1/2 years! The owner is always ready to attend to her special needs with her skin allergies. Has to make sure they use the right shampoo and do the cutest puppy cut ever. The staff, and I especially love Nancy, is always trying to make sure Izzy gets the attention she needs. Izzy now has a progressive cancer and they have stepped up the love and care we need at this time. They are a superb grooming service and have every kind of special services your dog could ever need! If you haven’t tried them you are missing out on the best grooming service in Houston. Paul, the owner, works very hard to get a staff that is as good as he is!! Try the Per Barber. ❤️❤️❤️

We have been with the Pet Barber almost from the start. They have only gotten better with each passing year. My golden retriever has always been treated with great love and care by all the staff and her current groomer, Grace has done a beautiful job every time we have gone. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I met Paul over 6 years ago when I rescued my first baby from him, and shortly after I rescued my second. I began bringing Austin & Buddha for grooming because not only is he amazing, but everyone at The Pet Barber goes above and beyond to make sure my babies are taken care of. They always come back looking so beautiful and clean. Paul, his staff and services are top notch. This is the only place I would ever trust to take care of my boys.

I've been coming to The Pet Barber for almost 3 years. When my dog (maltipoo) was a puppy, I shopped around a couple different places around Houston and I finally found The Pet Barber and was so happy with the experience. We found our favorite groomer Zaida there. She is great with my dog. My dog is very timid, nervous, and not very social. It makes me feel better knowing I'm leaving him in good hands. Zaida has always given him the cut I like and I never leave dissatisfied with the way he looks. She works with his coat as best she can since I like him keeping a fluffy look but sometimes his fur gets matted up. The Pet Barber staff is super friendly and responsive. Booking appointments and checking out has always been easy.

I love taking my dog to The Pet Barber to get groomed. My dog gets anxious easily in new environments and can sometimes be aggressive towards other dogs he isn’t used to. All the personnel at the Pet Barber have always made me feel comfortable that they will take care of him and keep him separated from other dogs. They don’t ever make me feel ashamed that he can be tough, in fact they make me feel the exact opposite. They always say he is a pleasure to be around. Other grooming companies have made me feel negative about having a more difficult dog and have even charged more for that reason. My dog always looks and smells great when I pick him up. I wouldn’t take him to anywhere else but The Pet Barber! Thank you to the team for always making me feel welcomed and for treating me and my dog with such kindness and respect!

If I could, I'd give 4.5 instead of just 4.I have a golden retriever and this is my second time at The Pet Barber. I haven't had a disappointing experience yet. The first time the kind lady took my golden in. I requested a cut, and she suggested I send her a text with the pictures. When my dog was finished, she sent me a message with a picture of my golden asking if this is what I liked, or if there were any changes I'd want. I really enjoyed this, and showed that my dog was being cared for. My second experience was with Paul, the owner of this shop. I would highly recommend him as he did a fantastic job with my golden. I showed him how I wanted my golden cut, and he did just that. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because with both experiences, at the end they didn't really tell me what was all done for my golden such as if teeth were brushed, ears cleaned etc. Granted I could've simply asked, but I was in a bit of a hurry. But overall, I highly recommend them.

The customer service is always on point and they’re so flexible with the drop off and pick up times. Most importantly they treat our babies with such love and care! I brought my dog here twice. Each time she looked amazing, but each time they overcharged me, so I won’t be back. The first time they added a charge for play time that I did not request and was not told would occur. I was annoyed but paid for it anyway because my dog looked so great. The second time I called to make an appointment and they looked up my dog on their computer. They sent me an email confirming the appointment and stating the cost to groom my dog. When I picked her up, they wanted to charge me more than the amount listed in their email to me. I spoke with the manager, who was surly and has no people skills. She showed me a note in the email that said the price could change based on a consultation. When I dropped her off, I was not told that the price would be higher. If a groomer wants to charge me more than the price stated, they should tell me the increased price BEFORE they groom my dog, not after. If you want your dog to look great and don’t care what they may decide to charge, this is the place!

Our groomer of 10 years moved and she set the bar high. I heard wonderful things about Tara from several friends. Tara was amazing! My dogs looked absolutely beautiful, but more importantly they were also happy and wagging their tales when I picked them up. Highly recommend her!
