It was great. Grabbed the wings and they were quite tasty. Loved the mango fire 🔥. The coffee shop was closed so that was a bummer but I think they were just on break about 1330.

When you just need some supplies or quick food. This is the place for you. You need a hair cut, they got you. Love this little store.

I'm not sure why, but I get the feeling AAFES has and continues to just fleece service members and families of their money. Prices are way high for the same items you can buy at Commissaryn wal mart and say on. The only real deals are when something is on clearance. Checkouts are never open, and you are practically held hostage until they see your ID by some employees while others can care less. It is a shame how AAFES can take advantage of the military all while under the disguise that we are "giving back" to the community.

Great little placed located right across the street from enlisted dorms.I visited the food court but there was also a tailor shop and other specialties. I arrived at 11:45 for a Subway sandwich-no waiting. By noon + it was as if a bus dropped off its load of hungry military folks.Has bench seating and all you can have fountain drinks.

Usually, the people who work there are very friendly. I've noticed one lady today was a bit rough, so I asked if she was okay. She said she had back pain. I get it she was in pain, but it doesn't make it okay to get choppy with your customers.

The food court can’t keep up with the volume of customers and truthfully doesn’t try. The fast food counters run out of food constantly and they close early or don’t even open very frequently. The actual store has necessities for the barracks and some other useful things. The staff is generally pretty friendly except for one older lady who constantly abandons her register to scream at customers about masks. She doesn’t care much about getting customers checked out courteously and efficiently but she is quite proud of her ability to yell at soldiers and customers.

They keep manning the register at the Subway with the rudest older staff, most annoying is when they ask you what you ordered and ask three times "if your sure" and then crinkle and toss the receipt so you can't see if they really charged you for whatever add-ons their determined to push that day. Most recently I was charged 14$ for a six inch cold cut, I have no idea how they came up with that number but I'm definitely not eating at this Subway again.

Incredibly busy almost all throughout the day and night. It’s located right next to the training barracks so it’s always chock full of trainees. They have a Taco Bell, dominos, subway, a wing place, and one other eating place I can’t remember. They also have a good alterations shop with longer hours and quick service. They have a little tactical shop and a barber shop too. There’s also a little coffee shop!

Got yelled at for using cash back, I see the taco bell workers about as often as I saw my dad and frankly somehow run away faster than he did. If I fail a drug test it's wing stops fault.

Doesn’t sell wine but it’s too close to the barracks so I get it lol. Within walking distance from the old barracks turned hotel, its got dominoes taco bell subway supplement store cleaners and barber. The petite gal working as clerk in the mini mart area especially is a friendly delight. She remembers everyone’s names that come in here and what they usually like to get at the counter. This place doesn’t offer everything but it sure comes close. Definitely recommend!

This isn’t the biggest exchange but it is nice. Lots of extra stores, good food. Just be weary that everything closes wayyyyy early. So get there in the afternoon and be sure to eat before six 😐

I walked in to the food court of the "new PX" close to 1800. I asked a person working at Freshens if they were still opened. This person looked at me, said "yes," then went back to what they were doing. I assumed they were in the middle of something and would be with me in a moment. I stood there. I stood there watching the workers. They saw me standing there. After several actual minutes passed I said, "Didn't you say you are still open?" The person said, "uh no, we are now closing, I misheard you." I said, "But you saw me standing here and decided not to say anything? You decided not to aak me to repeat myself since you did not fully hear me?" That is horrid customer service and not the first time something like this has happened on JBSA.

Not so much a post exchange more a Mini Mart. Plenty of food and sundry items available inside the main store but also fast food options, cleaners, barber, tactical gear, and vitamin/performance enhancement store.

They got a nice selection of BEanZ that expanded well beyond my knowledge. They also had lots of NuTZ for sale which was great for their price and quality

Older guy (employee) in the shopette followed me around and kept asking if I was ready to check out. Every aisle he would just hang out and watch me like I'm about to steal.

One of the nicest and well stocked AAFES post exchange facilities in the Joint Base San Antoinio area. Provides high, medium and low price point merchandise to all Active Duty, Reserve and Retired Defenders of the Free. Friendly and respectful staff... I would imagine that most of the employees are family members of a military sponsor. A few interesting shops and kiosks to browse for interesting stuff. Features a terrific and professional Barber Shop with about 10 chairs. I've never had a bad haircut at the Post Exchange located on Joint Base Ft. Sam Houston

The food court in here is fast and decently consistent. The shoppette is nice, but because it is in AIT land there is no Alcohol here. The barbershop in here is very quick, much faster than the main exchange.

Be able to shop on base is always a plus but the customer service I received at this post exchange in the food court especially at Domino's was amazing. The employee looked up a coupon and drop my price almost $8.

With as many troops pass through here, i was disappointed to see fewer souvenirs than at other bases. I know many many families are posted here permanently, but tons of us just pass through for a school, and would love something from the base.

Tiny, it's a PX shoppette, which is more of a large gas station with a large cafeteria and multiple dining options, i.e. charlies cheesesteaks, jimboys, taco bell. The majority of their customer base is trainees, their product selection reflects that and the selection is limited
