The worst experience my dog has ever had grooming. They could not groom a 7lb Pom. She is very anxious but these girls were young and inexperienced! They called me actually said they were not sure if she was safe for the groomer to cut her down! Like she was a pitpull! The groomer sounded scared and I just told her don’t worry about I’ll come get her! Just because you like pets doesn’t mean you should be a groomer! I love Petco and when she was trimmed at another location none of these issues but the groomer was older and much more experienced! I would not recommend this location if you have an anxious pet! They ill not do well here! Not mention not even a sorry we couldn’t assist your pet! I’ll go to previous location even it farther!

MS. JOANNA!! Thank you for saving my fish ✨✨ . My fish was not doing great and was definitely close to dying. She told me exactly what to do to save him. I bought him a new tank and fresh water plant and that saved him. He is now happy and swimming.

Service is good and product selection is great. There’s convenient parking directly outside the store. They’re located in a shopping center with Whole Foods, Target, Taco Cabana and much more, so there’s lots of people in and out. Watch out.They have a large selection of fish, small pocket pets and birds. They carry most of the big brands of pet food. The toy options are good too. I went shopping for both my dog and cat today. I found everything (and more) that we needed.

This Petco location is close to my whereabouts so it was easy to run in and pick up what I needed. I got a smaller quantity than normal of dog food because they were out of the largest size from what I get which just means I will go through it faster and return sooner. But overall happy with the experience.

My daughter took our cat to this PETCO for grooming today. The groomer did the worst job ever. This is the fifth visit to the store on the same job. The first time they tried the groomer only shaved the back. Later, my daughter went twice, and the groomer was not there. Any case today it was the fifth visit and they did a horrible job on the cat. We took the cat to many places in the data. Great job however the groomer for the store I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. Please see the photos my daughter called the manager and complained about it and the manager said they did the service. They charged $120 for a lousy job. Please take your pet anywhere else except the store.

We came to PetCo to bring our new puppy to obedience training. Joy, his Trainer, is a consummate professional. She has a wealth of knowledge and expertise regarding animal behavior and seemed to immediately have a rapport with our puppy. It also seemed that she instantly trained him! Our daughter refers to Joy as "The Pet Whisperer". We are looking forward to our his next session with Joy.

This is my Petco, the one I trust and like frequenting. Good prices, healthy fish and animals, great staff. Highly recommend this one over others in the West Houston area, worth a bit more of a drive for the Quality ;)

Alexis groomed my dog and I was unsatisfied with my dogs nails. They were uneven, sharp, and there were pieces of his nails hanging off. Regardless he shouldn't have been returned to me like that.

Although it can often seem like there are not enough staff to run this store, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help it customers make good responsible pet decisions, rather than just push expensive pets on unsuspecting parents. We’ve gotten great advice on starting our first aquarium. Strongly recommend.

Asked for assistance when buying fish. Store was empty. I asked the cashier for help and she said she was going to page someone. Waited 10 min, three employees just talking at the register. I asked for help again and the manager rudley said "We will get someone" very rudley. Just angry ladyNot coming back to this location

I received a mysterious order via door dash, mysterious because i did not order from the store. I called the 877 # 1st was told that i would get a call back. 7 hours later when no call i called my local store, this store I talked to Marva, The Rudest Mean Spirited person ive ever dealt with tells me that in order to return this mystery order they would have to verify it came from their store, otherwise i would possibly need to go elsewhere. I asked for DM District Manager for anyone who doesn't know what DM stands for. She stopped and asked "What did I call her?" I told nothing, at that point it was Obvious that Marva was Mean Spirited if she was hearing things that did not happen. I called the 877 again and was told that it was Petco policy that i could return to any store. I called via conference with petco rep on call and she could clearly hear the cashier and Marva talking about me without knowledge that Corporate was on call, they sat phone down and didn't pick up. The representative attempted to call back line disconnected. I called Corporate back they will issue refund and i made complaint against Marva. Ive deleted my info from the app to ensure it doesn't happen again, But if you find the need to go to petco DON'T GO TO THIS STORE.

One of the workers, cirel, said that it is illegal for them to fill my cats food prescription and for them to sell hills c/d... but they have a vet hospital built into the store AND their website says you can do pickup at this location for that specific product. Absolutely idiotic.

I wouldn't leave even 1 star for this place . Terrible experience I had with the grooming. I scheduled an appointment for grooming for my dog and the day I came I found out I am not even in the system and they are not aware about any appointment. Unprofessional. But surprisingly they said they going to take my dog because they haven't any other appointment scheduled. Well, than they tried to change the qotes due size of my dog, but I told them that when I was spoken with some one over the phone they gave me price due the breed and weight of my dog. Then they wanted to check weight of my boy and I was ok with this , but they raised prices anyway. Finally we agreed on everything and they took my boy to the room. I left . They call me in 15 min and asked me to take my dog ,because mattes to close to skin and they are afraid to injure him. The way they returned my dog to me unbelievable! I never saw something like that. So unprofessional people work there. In my opinion professional groomer would eval first and then make decisions to shave or not. Do not start to shave dog and than suddenly understand that you can't complete your job because you dont have enough skills.But those people shaved my dog partly and returned to me like that. I am in shock. I definitely will never come back and recommend anyone to AVOID this place!!!!!

Three stars for the bath and nails. I would love to give 4 to 5 stars however I felt like they should’ve put more effort into the de-shed. I do understand German Shepherd grooming is tough but why do I have to spend almost $200 and still have hair patches that I have to do? I do not mind but if I have to spend this kind of money for a spa day for my fur buddy. I expect better grooming. Nonetheless everything else was great. If I do return I do expect a better de-shed/ grooming. With all professionalism please do better and thank you for washing up my friend!

Superrrr disappointed and dissatisfied with the managements knowledge Miss cirel denied my return or exchange on dead crickets that i had bought not even ONE DAY (24 hours)before she did not take a look at the reciept nor did she take into consideration the refund/exchange its 8 $ that i know arent affecting her pay nor the store i got faulty product and was denied support.

Came to this location rushing out of work for them to be closed 20 min before closing !!! I really needed a certain kind of food for my dog. Unacceptable to the staff working at this location on Wednesday (8-10-2022)

I had an experience with this Petco grooming salon on 4/30 that I was truly disappointed with. All I wanted for my dog was a simple bath and nail trim. It ended up being $85.51!! When my husband dropped off our dog, they offered the Essentials Plus package without mentioning that it was an additional $24.00. Then, they insisted that my dog had to get the VIP service because of her age and health problems. She is only about 9 years old, and her only health concern is arthritis in her knee. Charging an extra $15.00 for this mandatory “VIP” session was also not mentioned; furthermore, no one told my husband that this VIP treatment meant that my dog HAD to be picked up within an hour. My husband even went back inside the grooming salon after he initially left and told them that he would not be back to pick her up for a few hours and nothing was mentioned about the 1 hour requirement. I then got a call about an hour later telling me that our dog was ready and that she needed to be picked up. I notified them that my husband would be by in a few hours to pick her up. They said that was fine but that in the future she would need to be picked up sooner due to her “health problems” which is absolutely ridiculous because she’s completely healthy. Then, they called me about 30-40 minutes later informing me that I had 20 minutes to pick up my dog. At this time, I was 7 months pregnant so picking up my dog was not an option due to my inability to lift her into my car and my husband was about 40 min-1 hour away from the store. The associate that I spoke with was so rude and inconsiderate of our circumstance, which was inexcusable given the amount of money that we paid for a simple BATH. I will never go back to Petco and will be sharing my terrible experience with every other dog owner that I know.
