Good store if you have a cat or dog.For other animals and supplies, it is ok for beginners, but they seem to lack products aimed at more serious or experienced per owners. They have a lot of their store brand stuff, but don't carry some if the high end products people might be looking for. Their online store did have some things they didn't have locally, so I find myself having to go online to find things in looking for. And in those cases I often use a different online store anyway. Still if you just need basic items, especially for a cat or dog, good store.

Very helpful and very knowledgeable. It always feels like a welcoming place as soon as I walk in.They have a very nice selection of ball python morphs. Like very nice, and the temptation to buy more is bad.But seriously, nice store and clean.

I made an appointment to take my dog for grooming While my house was being exterminated, I made the appointment over the phone. When I arrived, I was told that they could not take my dog because he was on anxiety medication. I mentioned that no one had told me that he couldn't be on any medication. The gal at the desk said that it's on the online in spite of the fact that I made my appointment on the phone. Needless to say, I had to rush and find some place for my dog to go for the time we had to be out of the house. Luckily. I have a good vet that was able to take him for the day. I'll never use that Petco.

I am literally in the parking lot typing this...RUDENESS is what I received in this location. I have been going to Petco for 2 years as a VitaCare member and I have never been ignored nor been looked over and at so rudely than in this store. There was no greeting when I walked by several employees nor was I asked if I needed anything like the other customers were. They were greeted with smiles. On the aisle I spike to an employee about a lizard who had just dropped his tail and he just looked at me. I said "excuse me " to get by and he ignored me. I still grabbed my items and went up to the counter to pay and I was not acknowledged by any of the 3 Caucasian looking employees, who were all ignoring me. I guess if you don't look like what is believed to be the "typical Tomballian" don't bother. I have never had an experience like this in a Petco. I left my things at the counter and politely walked out. They don't need my business.

My fur baby (Benji) was having a bad day at the groomers today. Thanks to the groomers for being so patient with my baby. He still came out looking great despite of all the troubles. I am grateful.

This has been my pet store to get all my dogs toys and vet visits. Never have had any issues and always has friendly staff. My little puppers loved the vet techs that did her checkup. Would totally recommend.

Your typical petco. Smells like animals when you walk in. You'll see pee stains on the floor of every isle where dogs mark. Merchandise is usually stocked no issues, animals habitats (small animals) usually dirty but animals seem alright and active. Fish tanks tend to have bad algee on the glass unless they are doing water changes that day. Reptiles tend to look alright. Staff don't go out of their way to ask you if you need help, but if you ask them they tend to be friendly and helpful...you just have to ask.I have not used grooming there, however I have discussed pricing with them, they seem very nice and friendly, I just have not had them groom my dogs so I can't say anything.Overall this petco is a petco, an everyday neighborhood petstore.

Took in my 15 yr old today spent 50+ for a bath,nails and teeth. Her breath stunk dont think they did anything. Nails ok. Way too expensive for little to nothing. She weighs 10.lbs so very little to bathe. Ears not done at all either. Sorry to say my last visit.

WHERE DO I START??? I walked in to Petco looking at the turtles. I was greeted by the wonderful Stephanie and she was so welcoming. She had a line waiting to be checked out so she grabbed Rodney for me for all of my questions regarding the reptiles. Rodney was absolutely amazing!!!!! He was so helpful and he went out of his way to answer all of my questions which I am pretty sure at some point, i was annoying with all of my questions but he helped so much. You can tell that he enjoys what he does and he is darn good at it and very knowledgable. While he was helping me, I met the wonderful Heather. She is so awesome. She helped me with my dogs while trying to get comfortable with the reptiles. She described her place at Petco and offered her services for training and what not. She was so kind and always offering a hand. These 3 at Petco are what makes a store run how it is supposed to be ran and you feel comfortable going in as a customer. Welcoming, helpful, aimed to please and not once did they hesitate to answer any of my million questions. I am pretty sure after me, they were over it. lol Thank you Rodney, Heather and Stephanie for being absolutely AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! I wish i could give a million stars :D

Friendly associates in the store. They had the dog food that we wanted along with a good selection of poop bags.They only thing I don’t like is having to pay for a bag if we want to put our items in to take home.

the cashier was not friendly at all! She was helping another employee and waiting on a manager for some approval, the manager never came so the other petco employee said not to worry and left. Nobody was on the floor to help. It was not a very positive visit

The customer service is pretty great. My only concern is the shelf stocking. I checked online for nail clippers and showed up today (third trip this week due to learning what all we do and don’t really need for our new pup) to be disappointed. I know someone walks by and notices that this area needs attention.

We’ve bought 4 hermit crabs now from this exact location, because we’ve noticed their set up to be at least decent compared to other places. Today, we found their temp and humidity to be way too low, and 2 dead crabs in the tank likely because of it along with other factors. Now, I already know pet stores know nothing about the proper care of hermit crabs and even relay incorrect information, but it was just sad to see what we saw today. This isn’t okay.Humidity and temp must be at 80/80 for their general health and survival.And their fresh and salt water didn’t look to be changed at all since we last time we came. We know they’ll just buy more crabs in bulk to make profit, but at least take care of them in the process.Luckily, 4 of their hermit crabs are now happier than ever, but I’m sad for the other’s who couldn’t be saved.

Staff was very helpful. Mr. Von was the first person to greet us as we came in and also was the last person to send us off. He didn’t complain when my dog pooped on the floor and offered to take the bag so that we wouldn’t be smelling it as we waited in the room. Everyone did a great job but Mr. Von definitely went out his way to make sure we left satisfied.

They charge for a plastic bag to carry the items you purchase from the store. Company going broke? Even gas stations give you free bags. Wow

I'm not a Ferret person but this is obviously not how they should be treated..The flies and smell were horrible. The lady with the pinkish hair said she wasn't the one who opened this morning so apparently they only check on the animals in the am (it was 4:45pm). Come to find out from the register guy she's the Animal Manager. This looked like days of feces in their food bowl and corner of enclosure. Instead of cleaning it they just added more food bowls. Sad!!!

My 9 year old Golden was brought in at 8:30am and was not ready until 1:10 pm. No where was it stated that the animals are not taken to the bathroom and they must hold it or go in the kennel. My dog is trained and will not potty in a kennel, due to her training. My dog barely walked through the store and peed all over the ground. She was very stressed. Her body temperature was high and she was extremely thirsty. One associate said they do not get water due to it ruining their grooming, and the manager says they do get water. All.i know is she drank a ton of water when we pulled over at a gas station to help her. Also, her nails were half assed and she has a cut on her stomach. I had to cut the extra nails myself. I've spent so much money and time here and it's all down the drain. I would advise against it if you love your animals.

They have lots of supplies for all types of pets / animals, from dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles / amphibians & fish (fresh & salt). They have tarantulas too, & not just the common basic species... As well as the live pets / animals too. Plus live feeder insects... Very friendly customer service to go along with it all... I like the place, especially how thay adopt out so many cats & kittens.That alone is a huge plus (+++) in my book. BTW this review is pretty much for just about all the Petcos around Houston area... Atleast the ones I've been too & that's most of all of them.

I go here often to get items I need for my pets. This time, I called ahead to ask if they had small crickets. They said they did. I arrive, and literally every single container from XS to L was dead. Not a single live cricket. I checked over 20 containers. Unacceptable. Now, I have to go to Petsmart since I know with confidence that theirs are alive.

I went into petco the other day and I love the customer service there. Veronica was a great help to me giving me great knowledge about cat products and some great dog treats as well. She treated me and my dog like we was family not just like another customer. I went in for 2 things but walked out with spending more and got 15 different things. She is a great person to have on there team

I love the employees here. I bought my second guinea pig here on April 26, 2017. I thought I was getting a female, but it turned Delilah is a boy. I found out on 12.12.17 when Pearl (my 4yr old pig) gave birth to a baby pig that looked just like Delilah. Delilah is a boy, not a girl and I can't change his name because he knows his name is Delilah. Had I known he was a boy I would have separated them before she went into labor and then the baby may not have died. I took her to a really good guinea pig vet in The Woodlands and she's ok. So now we are having another baby, I am counting the days to labor and will remove daddy before labor day gets here. Accidents happen and sometimes they turn into miracles! I learned a lot more about my pigs from this experience and can't wait for Pearl to have another baby! Thank you Petco this is really exciting! Merry Christmas, Erica, Pearl and Delilah!
