Great prices on corals. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was visiting from Austin and in the area so I thought I would drop in and check it out. I was so impressed with prices that I ended up grabbing a couple corals. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Great place for serious reefers! Good selection of coral and livestock. Not for those who want a 20 cent gold fish or a 2 dollar goldfish. This is for Serious aquarists imho—but what saltwater aquarists aren’t serious, really? They also do maintenance for those in a decent distance from their shop. They know their stuff. Good selection of coral for all types of reef tanks and varied prices.

I’ve been keeping a reef tank for about five years now. I popped in one day and spoke to Nick. He was clearly busy, but took the time to chat with me about directions to go with my tank. I found him to be very mellow and knowledgeable. He was clearly helping me find things that work for my tank and not just selling things to me. I’ll be back in.

Much cheaper than ordering online and other stores ive been too and the quality and health of their livestock is far beyond other lfs ive been too as well. I live over an hour away but its well worth the drive seriously these guys are awesome.

Tons of coral to choose from and very fairly priced. Owner is a great person and very helpful. There's a lot of fish too, but they sell out very quickly.

I came in Saturday looking to get some coral and livestock for my tank. I left with a pink fairy wrasse, diamond goby, torch coral, and two zoa frags. I thought the 100 dollar price for a torch coral was very reasonable and 20 dollars for the zoa frags was good. Everything I bought is happy and healthy so far. Sunday I went in and bought a 80 lb bag of coral pro salt. I’ve been looking for a LFS that is close enough and not too expensive and I think I found it. I will be back!

Little slow getting help, but could have just been that they were letting look around. Once we got assistance all our questions were answered, and we were helped in finding the best specimen for purchase. Large variety of fish to choose from.

This is the best fish store in the greater Houston area. The selection of fish and coral is unmatched. They had a fish I’ve been trying to track down in person for a couple months. I happened to discover them by accident. I’m extremely happy with all my purchases I got- and they were all very fair pricing.I’ve been in probably 15 fish stores around here, they had a few species of fish I’d never seen in person. Very impressive.10/10

Great lfs, very clean and well kept, little to no dead fish, very good quality livestock with a good selection of corals at a fair price, I just picked up a non photosynthetic gorgonian the other day and it is doing amazing in my tank. I've visited this location several times and will continue to go back

I’m new to the hobby and they’ve been amazing to do business with! They always give good advice and make me feel comfortable asking questions no matter how basic they are. The selection is great and just looking at their tanks you can tell they care a lot about the health of their corals and livestock. I always trust that I’m buying healthy stock from them. Compared to other shops, they are head and shoulders above everywhere else I’ve been.

This place is awesome! The owners are extremely patient and helpful. They answered all of my questions and took the time to show me each coral/fish I inquired about. I came a few times before buying anything. They never pressured me to make a purchase or acted like I was wasting their time. The store itself is very clean and organized. The tanks are laid out in a way that beautifully displays the corals, fish, etc. This is the best reef shop in Houston by far, especially for newbies!!!

Hands down, definitely one of the top 2 or 3 shops in the Houston area as far as I'm concerned. They have a great selection of healthy looking corals and a solid fish collection for sale with an attentive staff. Keep it up guys!

When I first started, I bought all of my supplies and livestock here. I used to drive 3 hours round trip because I would visit this and one other store in the area. Tried to be a good customer. They had a piece (multiples) recently that I was interested in so I messaged them to see if I could buy it and pick it up a few days later. First message was on Sunday and they read it that day and didn’t respond. Messaged again Monday, they read it, no response. Final message Wednesday which they read immediately with no response. I know they hold things for people because I’ve seen the messages all over their tanks. Not going to be a loyal customer when the favor is not returned. I won’t be returning and will advise others as well. Go to Galactic or That Aquarium Place. Both have excellent customer service and actually care about their clients

The staff are really nice. It seems like they stay busy and turn over live stock frequently. It is a small space so social distancing is slightly difficult. Don't go in if there are a lot of people. Their prices are inexpensive and competitive for other area marine aquarium stores. They are a marine (saltwater) only store. Their coral prices are better than other places. You can find smaller sections of corals compared to other places, too.

Awesome place! Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We had our new tank ready to setup the same day. They really treat you with respect and answer every question with enthusiasm. It seems like they were just as excited about our new tank as we were. Best place in east Texas by far!!! :)

I am a first time buyer. They are extremely helpful. I went twice before buying a tank and spent some time answering all my questions. Even after I bought it they welcome me to come In and offer me tips and suggestions, even test my water to make sure I'm on the right path. It takes a whole month to get the water right before animals can live in the tank. They are more worried about the tank being set up right then making money and selling you fish and them not living ! Believe me I tried buying fish. All in all super happy! Come here first before you go to pet smart. They really care!

I was really close to abandoning any LFS and start ordering exclusively online, but once I went here I decided not to. They have great prices, great selections of healthy livestock, are knowledgeable about the hobby and they will answer any question. They are very passionate about what they do and it shows.

Best store in the Houston area for quality coral. Also, they almost always have something of the rare variety. Never had any nuisance algae or hitchhiker problems when purchasing from OceanLife! Highly recommend stopping by, even if it's just to look at the beautiful display tanks.

This is my go to shop for Houston. It takes me thirty five minutes to travel here so I make the trek over once or twice a month. They have a number of people working. They were not that personable in the beginning but now that they recognize me, the customer service has improved dramatically. They are a very busy store though, so that may play a part. If you are new to saltwater or to Houston, if your initial trip isn't quite as personable, give them another try. Prices are good on frags and they have a large display they usually have their core coral frags they trim from which is nice that everything isnt just chop shopped stuff that isn't tank acclimated.
