I have a 10 pound Shih Tzu dog and been going here for years. We have to settle going here because alot of clinics do not perform SEDATIONs. BUT EVERY TIME we show up there is always a new RULE, new FEE, and new undisclosed slap to the face. For 6+ years of going to this place, I have never paid the same rate or had the same service done right. I get the same order, same cut, and same sedation every time. I ask for to cut low and keep a teddy bear face. But for some reason it is always a new law or fee added. Also, they dont even cut my dog the same. It feels like I blinding pick a color skittle, because that how it feels seeing a new haircut on my dog everytime. Now all of a sudden they need $300+ to cut my dog, and with no Explanation. IT NEVER was this price! it started off at $80 and never stop going up since.First, you have to be there at 6am, only on a friday for grooming. First come, first serve was the original plan. Then you start showing up and “did you make an appointment”. At 6am, you are caught off guard because THEY NEVER sent a email, newspaper, or call you for updates. So you just have to go home and try again the next time, Phew, dont be the person sixth in line. You will never get in!The Doctors “too busy” or just rude. “Your dog is older” HEATHIEST DOG.I will never return to this disfuncional place again.

They saved our baby Cosmo. He tested positive for Parvo on Monday and wasn't doing good at all. He was getting treatment at BARC, but was still refusing to eat and was super lethargic we started to think there was nothing else we could do. We took him here on Friday for further treatment and they gave him an IV treatment along with meds to bring home so we can also continue to treat him. As soon as we got home he instantly wanted food which made us happy and since then he's been eating and now has a bunch of energy and is playing around. You saved our puppy and we are very grateful for that. Thank you so much.

Highly recommend this vet for great results at a fair price. Other vets that I've tried charged exorbitant fees, with little results for my cat's issues. I've taken my cat here for vomiting and skin rashes due to allergies. They were able to accurately diagnose her, stop the vomiting and clear up her rash. This place cost a third of what I paid to another vet, who couldn't diagnose my cat even with expensive lab work. I was able to make an appointment for the same day, and we didn't have to wait long to be seen by the vet. Dr. Taylor was friendly, patient and was able to answer my questions. It is worth the drive to come here.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I had three of my furbabies that came in contact with Parvo and let me tell you … the ladies in the front are so helpful and sweet! Not to mention Dr.Gallagher and her staff are AMAZING as well! She took care and treated my babies with the right medications to get them feeling back to normal! I am so thankful this facility for restoring their health❤️

Doctor Castro was amazing as well as her team! She treated Blake with such care and was super helpful with answering and explaining any and all questions I had regarding my feline friend. ❤️ Thankfully, Brittany answered the phone before I headed over to the hospital. She let me know to bring Blake in and what the wait times were looking like.I definitely recommend the services at Long Drive Hospital. Very affordable and caring towards my pets. 😊

I have been taking my dogs to Long Drive Dog & Cat Hospital for almost 20 years now. Dr. Shelby and Dr. Castro are just amazing. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr. Castro is very knowledgeable and professional. She treated my dog and saved my dog's life about 3 years ago when the odds of my dog surviving were extremely low. I was referred to Long Drive Dog and Cat Hospital by a friend who lives in the area. I live in Atascocita but made the drive because I was told the prices were reasonable. They don't take appointments for basic Wellness visits so I had to just be a walk-in. The wait was about 45 minutes to an hour. The ladies that work there were very friendly and patient with my dog. While the visit itself was reasonably priced at less than $40, the cost of testing and treatments starts to add up and ended up being as much as my local veterinary office. Dr Spencer was the lady who treated my pup. I communicated to her that I was limited financially but my dog desperately needed treatment for a severe ear infection that another clinic could not treat. She was able to bring down the price based on what he needed immediately and what he could come back for. She genuinely seemed more concerned with getting him treated then she was about trying to make a book like some places. This meant a lot to me because the previous Clinic that I had taken him to only wanted to try and get me to get him shots even though I had expressed to them how badly his ears needed to be treated. I will definitely be back for my other Pet Care needs. I also recommend this place to anyone looking for a somewhere to care for their fur baby!

Great professional courteous staff. They helped diagnose my poodle and gave her the proper medication. I highly recommend them and they are fully staffed and do their best to keep things flowing for such a hectic environment dealing with people's animals and such.

DO NOT- DO NOT- DO NOT take your fur baby to see Dr. Taylor. He's " too busy" to have the decency to enter the exam room and speak with his patients owner. Dr Taylor failed to show any empathy towards his patient. I paid an excessive amount of money to see a doctor not an assistant. She's not just a dog, she's our fur baby and deserves better.

Saved my dogs life. Took my dog to local 24 HR get hospital late Sunday evening, did testing of all kind to find she had an open pyometra. Wanted 7-9K pedending on extence of surgery. Said she could go early AM to my vet to get a second opinion for cost. Waited until 7AM when office opened Monday & went over what ER vet told me. They were right, took my dog in immediately for surgery with a way WAY less cost. They saved my dogs life. She’s doing way better now following up in about a week in a checkup. Thank you. I’ve brought her here since a baby for vaccinations etc.

LDAH provides EXCEPTIONAL care to the animals it sees and treats. Staff is most professional and compassionate. Prices are extremely reasonable. Service is impeccable.We will continue to take our dogs to LDAH and recommend it to family and friends.Harley and Sir Francis actually like to go now; they get excited when we just pull in.

I brought my cat for a check up . My appointment was at 4:30pm and i was called in pretty quick , was not in the room for more than 4 min. The lady at the checkout was rude. I seen people go in and out , straight to the checkout . So i was waiting for about 20 min . Im like maybe i need to go up there and i went , she just glanced at me asked if i was going to check out i said yes. Told me to sit down i will be called .I smacked my lips cause yes im bothered she couldn’t even be professional and look me in my face while talking to me like if i was a nobody …people that were there after me were handled quick and gone (mind you this man had a dog no leash and he was bear hugging the dog cause “he smelled cats” so i wanted to get out out of there) once i smacked my lips then she stopped what she was doing and looked at me stupid . I sat down and she came over that , Dr. Gallagher was busy with another customer . I ask a assistant if he can get my cats meds cause i had been waiting over 30 min. He said yes i know still not ready . I was over it already horrible experience. Never again . I waited 45 min for Amoxicillin . I got there at 4:30pm didn’t leave til 5:40pm . For a 3/4min checkup .

This place is the best. The front desk was so friendly. Dr. Shelby did a mass removal on my pet, my baby girl Scarlett. He was very charismatic, and showed alot of care and concern and won my approval with his great personality and awesome experience. I want to thank him for all he done for me and I know others feel the same. THANK YOU.

Ive been going here for about 12 years now and idk what happened but this place used to be 10/10. The service is now at about a 4, the cost sky rocketed which I understand with inflation but for them to go out of there way to force me to pay things that aren’t needed makes me wonder if the facility is running out of money hence all the other new issues. Never had a issue with the male doctors, but the people under the doctor (vet techs i think) trying to shame me for giving my dogs their vaccine on my own is crazy to me. There is one lady doctor idk her name trying her hardest to make me do all these unnecessary exams, then trying to shame me for not wanting to do them. Crazy turns out that day I was right and not her with her diagnosis. Don't have to go to vet school for whatever how many years to interpret simple context clues. I just hope this place goes back to how it once was a 10/10 overall or else i wouldn't be surprised if it goes out of business. No wonder they have a bad turnover rate.

I went to buy the prescription dog food that I have been purchasing here for years because of my dogs tendency to develop urinary stones. I was told they were out of stock and that the Purina UR brand had been on backorder for most of the month. Okay, I asked to pay for a prescription for it so I can buy it elsewhere since my dog is almost out of her supply. I had a previous experience before where after she ran out I switched her off the prescription-based food to a regular brand. She became lethargic, vomited, and got the shakes after a few days. I took her in immediately when that happened was told she’s to remain on the prescription food always.Okay, but if I couldn’t get it in stock here I could try elsewhere but needed the prescription on file at this hospital. The receptionist said I might not have to pay for it since it was a stocking issue and a second receptionist said it depended on the doctor. She went to get the go-ahead and came back after a few minutes to relay that the doctor said she needed to come in for a checkup in order to get the prescription since it had been almost a year from her last visit.As long as this food has been in stock the length of time from her last checkup has never been an issue. And as I was told clearly previously, my dog is not to come off this prescription food. A checkup would not bring her off this food, I’ve only been asked here if I’m continuing her diet as prescribed before. It’s only when I might buy this elsewhere that they throw a stipulation in for the prescription. I stopped here during my lunch break. This location has always been convenient. The staff friendly. Doctor Shelby friendly and professional. But this experience just hit at a nerve. My dog’s care should be the priority. I take her to Emancipet for her shots and preventative care, here for any issues that arise and the prescription food, which shouldn’t be held as a ransom in order to continue seeing the pet.

He is pleasant and not arrogant at all like some Vets. He is very knowledgeable. He goes the extra mile. Everyone there is nice and compassionate. The prices are very reasonable. Dr Shelby has taken care of all our dogs since he bought the clinic. That has been 8 dogs and about 23 years ago. I have complete trust in Dr Shelby and his wonderful team. Everyone in the clinic is professional, compassionate and dedicated. As long as I have a dog, this is where they will be brought.

Awesome place! But they need to hire another receptionist because Brittney has HORRIBLE customer service skills. I literally watch her place someone on hold then silence the rep I was talking to then shook her figure in my face telling me no. Thanks to Dr Spencer and Candy for getting my Kobi ready for our road trip. They had so much patience with him. Long Drive has been my family’s vet for over 25 years. So the absolute reason why I gave y’all 5 stars is to the other staff members. Also if you want your dog groomed board them Thursday and thank me Later🐾
