My puppy came home to me 2 weeks ago today to be trained to be a service dog~ he just turned 5 months old, and with me 2 weeks, and is already showing signs of natural alerts and responding to my medical episodes perfectly!! It's only been a few weeks, but the puppy seems to be very eager to please and learn new things. We are happy with the puppy we receive from Mr. John Tate. She is everything we asked for. Our puppy is calm, sweet, and joyful. I recently picked up Luke, my 4 month old black labrador retriever from John at Hunters Creek Retrievers. Luke is such a sweet boy and I'm so in love! I came in contact with John in early March and he had me fill out a puppy application. We then spoke on the phone and he was able to determine what I was looking for and what puppy would fit my needs. I decided to put Luke through Hunters Creek Retrievers obedience training program. The day I picked him up, I was quite impressed at how well mannered he was and that he listened to all of his commands. John provides a wealth of knowledge and it's no doubt that he's an expert in this field. You can tell that he is very dedicated to this business and absolutely enjoys these dogs. John Tate is an amazing person and not only sold us our awesome lab Scout but trained him! This is the best dog that we have ever had. John was wonderful and came over to our home to train him with our kids and then was on call for any and all puppy questions. We have owned Labs my entire life but I have never had one be so well trained! You can tell you love your dogs! John has been fantastic with our Boykin Spaniel “Lady”. After the very first training session there was a noticeable difference. John is very knowledgeable, and works with you to make sure you understand the drills. Where John really sets himself apart though, is how he interacts with kids. He has our 3 year old and 7 year old handling the dog like pros. It is really special to watch, and we are very grateful that we sought out John for our dog training needs.

I was looking for a lab that I could train to be a service dog and John helped me find my perfect dog. He guided me to pick what dog would best fit my personality and helped me with any questions regarding my dog, training, or anything else I had to ask. I have had hunting dogs all my life. Many different breeds depending on the birds I was hunting. Now that I am a “retiring” hunter I wanted a great retriever and close companion so I contacted John Tate after having been referred to him. I could not be any happier with my male yellow lab. The retrieving is of course in his blood and John had him retrieving out to +/- 40 yards as a puppy. He was taught all the basic obedience commands easily. I also have him finding and bringing antler sheds on my ranch. He is a wonderful companion both in the field and at home. Many thanks John!

I was searching for a companion for my rescue dog and was looking for a dog with a particular temperament, loyal and sweet as well as get along with my 2 cats. John helped me find the perfect one, Dixie. . Dixie has been a dream since I got her and Millie and her bonded immediately.
