I was driving south on Telephone Road when I saw this hardware store. It's a lot bigger inside than it appears from the street.This is a great place to pick up hardware items for a weekend project. The store is well staffed with helpful and knowledgeable store associates. Unlike Home Depot or Lowe's, you don't have to walk a mile to find what you're looking for. Prices are a little higher, but I don't mind paying for the convenience.

This hardware store has a great variety. Anything from power tools to pressure washers, mulch, light fixtures, water troughs, livestock/pet equipment, and even work boots and firearm ammo. The prices are fair, and the service is usually better than at the local Home Depot and Lowe’s.

The help I received with cutting a key for me was through the roof great!!! Considering the key was broke in half and unknown to me missing a part of the key which had a cut in it that we needed to make the key work. All they had to work with was that broke key but they made it work. Great job!!!

Great place, Good prices.. Excellent Customer Service, I went to look for Monkey Butt powder because last year I purchased 3.. They only had one jar for Men, I needed the pink one for women I was disappointed because you can't fine it anywhere.. I guess I'll order online.. I definitely think people should vist this location it has a little bit of everything..

True Value is an amazing store, there is quite literally everything you can think of, there is merchandise at every corner of the store, so much more than any hardware store.

Scammer! Sold me a product that was defected in the sealed package and refused to let me return or even exchange. Owner even accused me of switching the product and kicked me out of the store while I was attempting to explain in a calm manner. Owner does not have any knowledge of how anything in his store works. There to make a dollar!

When I got to this location I was quickly approached by somebody who is apparently the manager of the store and he asked me if he could help me I said no I'm just browsing he said no you don't browse here and asked me what I wanted I told him I don't know I'm looking and he proceeded to follow me around the store acting like I was going to steal everything on the shelves I made one purchase which I actually really didn't want to but one of the other employees was very helpful and help save me even more money and the product that I purchased was already very reasonably priced but just because of the point the manager being is rude as he was I will never shop here again and I highly recommend others don't either

Excellent hardware store where I discovered the best paint for my house. When compared to what I discovered at the large box retailers, their Easy Care Platinum Paint and Primer in One was of considerably higher quality. Finding the ideal colors for my house was greatly assisted by Maria in the paint department.

Terrible customer service and management, staff would tell you whatever for the sake of selling rather than maintaining an honest and long term customer merchant relations. They take advantage of a none English speaking customers and their return policy is extremely shady. You are better off paying a little bit more at Home Depot/ Lowe’s etc for a better customer service, better returning policy and most important honesty.

I've been in this hardware store 3 times. It's obvious that the owner/operator of this store takes pride in their business and in my experience the employees are knowledgeable of what is in the store. Every time I've walked in I've had someone immediately greet me and ask if I needed any assistance. In each case I've told them what I was looking for and they pointed me to the parts and even written out the description on the parts bag making check-out a breeze. Also, I'm impressed with their inventory in that I haven't seen items out-of-stock. All of this is a welcome contrast to Home Depot where I've spent a lot of time and money, but will hopefully will be spending less of either and more at this hardware store.

Great customer service. Needed to pop in and out real quick and grab some phone to wrap around my pipes to prepare for the drop-in temperature. The employees were friendly helpful and told me exactly what I needed to get the job done.

They wouldn't sell me a gas valve at advertised price $169 but when I got there the gas valve went up to $289 SMH, showed management the advertised price and he couldn't do anything about it good thing that I looked part up first they would've slipped one in on me hell an extra $120

Good times. Christmas shopping! Spray paint to paint door. Keys made cheap. Light bulbs. Sunglasses.i keep breaking mine. Heaters. Twine. You name it...what I need they have.Mulch glue to hold mulch together. Birdbaths...I have birds to!Merry Christmas y'all!

This was the worse experience for me, so I reserved a Uhal online to pick up from this location I added Dollys and insurance and it gave me the amount I would need to bring when picking up the truck, when I get there they tell me it’s way more than what my reservation online was and that wasn’t including the insurance or furniture equipment I would have to pay extra! I’ve rented U-Haul’s before and never had this issue. After that we get the truck drive it to the location have movers ready to start moving only thing is the truck had a padlock on it so I had to call the store back and ask them was there an extra key they were supposed to give us they said no that isn’t our lock you’re gonna have to bring the truck back so we can cut it off. So I came out of more money then I had budgeted for and I was held up from moving on the time schedule planned 😡

I was at this store today. They had a lot Lysol. They only let me buy 1. I told my sister they had lysol. She immediately came to the store in 20 minutes. They told her they were sold out. They had a box and they didn’t even put it on the shelves. They are obviously keeping it for themselves. I called management and they were very rude. There’s no way all that lysol disappeared in 20 minutes. I talked to 3 people at this store and they were all rude. The Manager Ronnie even hung up in my face. I asked for corporate and another guy, who said he was the manager hung up in my face. This store gets 1 star! Unbelievable Hiw can I contact upper management? The store is suppose to sell product not hide it and keep it for themselves..

So, here's the deal...if you're going to be a UPS pickup location, and you say you're open at 7:30AM...you should probably have your doors unlocked at 7:30, not 8. I asked the crossing guard, and she confirmed that they pretty much open whenever they want. Not cool for those of us wanting to pick something up before work.

Today’s date is 02/20/21, as you all know this week was one of the worst week in Houston due to a winter storm that left a lot of people without power, water and food. I had some broken water pipe due to the cold weather that we had this week. Everyone who went to a lot different hardware places knows that it’s was very difficult trying to find stuff on the plumbing aisles, i went out everywhere looking for a pipe threader set.Every single place it was sold out. Until I came to this store. I found the last set they had in there, the same set they had left in there is regularly $80 to $100 in others hardware stores or Walmart.They sold it to me for $200, that’s really sad when other people is trying to get rich out of other people which are suffering difficult times due to Mother Nature.This was the first and for sure it would be my last time in that store.

I had two key made the first was the silver one, which only cranked car when chip was placed next to it, I had to come back for the black key because it had to be ordered, pay $79.00 bucks the key stopped working the next day, came into store to ask for refund I was refused even though I have my receipt and orginal key, now I'm sitting in the sun in front of True value Golfcrest waiting on locksmith to fix their key for another $170.00. Horrible service very rude and short with me all I wanted was a key made. NOW I'm out $270.00 because of faulty equipment.. I wont be giving they any more of my hard earned money...

Called to see if they had a 1/2inch compression union in schedule 40 and they said they did. I drove from the northwest side of town only to find they had NONE. A plumber indicated they had not had any in several days! While there I listened to a manager tell people on the phone that they had what they wanted but, when he hung up he joked that he would try to sell schedule 80 or CPVC to people they were dumb enough to buy it! Apparently he thought it was funny. NEVER buying at a True Value Hardware Store again!
