I am CPT Chelsea Rivera and I have been the OIC of this clinic for the last 3+ years. I wanted to come on here and just say that both the civilians and the rest of the military personnel that staff this clinic are some of the most caring and sweet people I have ever worked with. That being said, the negative reviews left here on Google are largely made by miserable people who found out the hard way we don't tolerate poorly behaved clients. Ever. Do NOT come to this clinic throwing a fit and being belligerent because you didn't get your way. You will be fired and not welcome back. Hard stop. We offer services at a STEEP discount from off-post vets (not that they over charge, we just under charge because it's subsidized by the government. It also means we don't pay staff very well either) and being able to receive services here is a privilege, not a right. This is a clinic also ran by military who have other responsibilities, and we just don't have the availability to be able to take every single person who requests an appointment. Our registration form has clients acknowledge this. And also acknowledges that we are primarily a wellness clinic, and do not take urgent care or emergency cases, and recommend that people establish themselves and their pets with an off-post vet for such a need. Yes, it's hard to get an appointment. Yes, it's even harder to get a procedure. We have at most 1-2 vets working and physically cannot see them all. We only have so many slots in a day. No one on this planet, never mind my staff, are paid enough to deal with people being outright rude and yelling. Kindness gets you far. Acting like a child doesn't. That's all I'm going to say in response to negative reviews. Thank you to all the wonderful, appreciative clients during my time here. You are what keep us going.

Called in Rx for my dogs a few days prior and it was easy to get set up and registered in the system since my dogs were previously seen on another base. Came in and was quickly helped. They answered all my questions and concerns and got me all good to go

We finally got an appointment with the vase vet after so many attempts - I'm talking months and months. They only make appointments at a certain time of the month which is usually no more than two days, so the days the vet IS THERE fill up quickly. Sometimes, there is the choice to go to Lackland AFB, but that's too far for me. At the visit, Vet tech was awesome and had a great personality towards my dog and cat. The vet himself was OK. You can tell he's totally a cat person. Overall, I'm happy with the service, although I expected to pay a little less than I did. Glad we finally got in.

My review will not justify just how amazing this Veterinarian clinic is, you ought to see for yourself to know how incredible they are!! (This Veterinary clinic is only for active duty and retires.) PCS is already a stressful process but with a dog... Its different levels of stress, especially export to overseas. It was my first time and I didn't know what to do, I truly appreciate all the clinic staff, Dr.Rivera, and specially Ms. Vasquez, I couldn't do this pcs process without your help, you answered all my questions and concern and gave me advice on each step. Thank y'all again for all you do!

Great Staff and very well priced services! Outstanding attention to detail only negative part is that they don't do surgery or teeth cleaning but for wellness checks and shots they can't be best! Additionally, they will recommend things that the animal needs even if they don't provide the services such as teeth cleaning or surgery to remove a growth. They will do a biopsy of the growth but can't remove it due to the limited staff.

Originally I said "Great staff. Economical. Thorough." Unfortunately, the Vet Officer changed. The new boss is very inexperienced, close-minded and inflexible. When I challenged her to rethink her policies on providing timely pet care, she 'fired' us and told us to take our business elsewhere. We relocated to a civilian practice. We don't recommend using FSH Vet services.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Clean facility. Social distancing implemented. Animal health certificate clinic is on Mondays. Call ahead and get an appointment. Very fast at taking people back with appointments, my wait was under 5 minutes.

I'm in the US Army Reserve and I've brought my dog here a couple of times. The staff are professional and courteous; the waiting area is large and clean, and the vets helpful and informative. I would highly recommend to any service member to take their pet to be seen the employees here.

great clinic, no surgery, appts can be hard to get, meds expensive but rebates available. military beneficiary pets only. has both civilian and military veterinarians. it is an MWR non-appropriated fund facility, so they are trying to make money both to pay for their costs and to return to MWR, which i've always disliked (should be sunk personnel support cost and savings returned to customers, otherwise, why not go off-post?). staff is nice.

It is a good vet clinic for routine wellness check, vaccinations, and simple health concerns. Do not expect a fancy place, it is not. But the front staff is efficient, the vet is knowleadgeable, and they have very competitive prices since it is for military family pets.Since it is also a training facility, you will meet technicians in training. Demand to have your pet there with you in the room all the time. I am glad I did it. My dog had to be poked several times to have enough blood drawn and she did behave better because I was there in the room. Unless your pet is having surgery, there is no need to take it to the back. Would you allow your toddler to be "taken in the back" at the doctor's clinic? They cannot tell you what was done to them, neither do dogs/cats. Be their advocate!

Great vet! Same services as off base, but a fraction of the price. The only problem is scheduling, as non-working dogs are space-a. We have all out routine appointments done on base, and short-notice type stuff offbase.

Recently due to COVID-19 the vet was closed down and instructed pet parents to request prescription refills through an online source and fax over to them to complete the fill. I processed this requested however chewy came back and denied my request because the vet denied the request for a heart guard refill due to not having his yearly heart guard test. Unfortunately his test fell right in the time of they are closed. My dog has suffered from heart worms and we went through a $500+ treatment - treated at this facility who then denies him the coverage he needs because they are closed and cannot provide a test. This is absolutely unacceptable! I used to love this clinic - however the fact that you would put my dog at risk because you can’t provide the service he needs is ridiculous. Even if it was a temp fill I could work with but no they won’t even do that. This is unacceptable as a veterinary clinic!

What is the point of having a vet facility when they don't even have a vet!!? I called and the lady said that they were only doing over the counter meds for animals. In my time of needing a vet pretty quickly, this place was a complete joke.
