Overall, this is a decent Commissary. I have had a few times where frozen foods seemed freezer burnt, though. Finally realized today that as I was buying some items, there was the stocking cart out, and no one around. I could see if it was just one or two boxes, but there is no way one person can put that much food away in a fair amount of time.Fruits seem to be going to the way side as the products are not always the freshest. Always have to finish my shopping at Walmart or HEB.Best buy here, like most other bases, is the meat products. Fresh cut meat is always cheaper here. Staff always has a friendly attitude.

Even though I was still shopping at closing, all employees were courteous and helpful. Cashier and baggers were likewise. Other employees got items from the back or 2 found what I needed and got it off the top shelf.

Reasonable size commissary. Not too big or too small. You can get in quick and out fast. I stopped by during lunch to get the 12” sandwich All American for $9.99 and it’s excellence. Better than subway. They also have the sushi selection and poke salad. I’ve tried these and it’s great!

Love this commissary but it's a hassle that the commissary does not have the same prices on everything as the app. I use the app to make sure I don't over spend and can easily find items but when a item isn't the same price it messes up my shopping trip. Anyway I prefer this commissary over Randolph I don't know why, maybe it feels more welcomey. Lastly the staff is very friendly.

This commsarisay is more expensive than randolph and Lackland and it is kind of disorganized with less products than the other bases. But the cashiers are at least friendly here so that's a plus.

Does not have 100% of my preferred brands, but it comes close, and at really reasonable prices.The produce is excellent quality and also at great prices.The meat section is also definitely top-notch.I like finishing my shopping trip with a stop at the deli. Their Reubens and Havanas are comparable to anything found at local restaurants.Well worth the trip!

One of my favorite perks of being in the military is the ability to shop at the commissary. This one however, is subpar. Almost always under stocked and they do not do a great job with replacing expired/soon to be expired items.Despite this, the convenience and fairly competitive prices kept me coming back. But the customer service that I’ve experienced over my past couple of visits is unacceptable. The fact that the “fast checkout lane” took me 30mins to checkout due to the workers not wanting to honor their pricing is ridiculous! As if it’s the customer fault that the employees never changed the price on the shelf that I had to ask for a manager because even after they saw the item price they only wanted to give me that price for one of the two items I purchased.The male and female worker that day clearly cares not about the customer’s shopping experience. And all for a $.70 difference! It’s almost laughable.

So many elder Veterans and Families members there also the Media staff, News paper Aditor's...I went to my Husband's grave yard on Memorial day 💓 at 8:30am.The service was at 9am.Return back home at 12 noon...

Most things are usually in stock. Prices used to be better and right now there is not much of a difference with H-E-B's prices.Meat is a very good deal and worth the money.I don't recommend getting produce or dairy here but anything else is good.

Love the prices for sure. HEB may have more locations, but here you can find national brands at better than HEB brand pricing. The staff have always been super friendly and helpful here. Definitely worth the drive each and every time.

Normally have a pleasant shopping experience, but not this time.The cashier at register 14,Cashier #175, was terribly misogynistic. I asked if he could call the butcher shop and ask if they had a particular cut of meat. I had checked but didn't see it. Nor did I see any workers. Instead of saying he didn't have their number, he took off and was gone for almost 10 minutes. This was after I had paid and was waiting for my receipt.When he finally came back, he denied being gone as long as I claimed, and said he didn't have their number, but wanted to get the answer for me. He claimed he looked for that cut of meat but dis not find it, nor dis he find a y workers. He again said he went to the back because he dis not have that extension and "the customer is important". Sure. That's why he kept me - and the person who bagged my groceries - waiting as long g as he did - because our time was obviously NOT important to him.Even worse than his attitude was his incredible lack of attention to his personal grooming - his hair was unkempt, and he had a long, scraggly beard that appeared to have never been groomed. If nothing else, it should have been contained within a hair net, as is required elsewhere nationally.Next time I shop here, I will make sure to avoid that individual. His atritude tells me he has no business working with the public,and his lack of attention to grooming, especially that unkempt facial hair, is a big no-no for working around food - particularly fresh produce and fresh bakery items.Note: The manager was there for a portion of the wait and was present when he finally sauntered back. So she was well aware of his appearance, but decided it was acceptable.Eww.
