What's working: fairly clean store, easy to navigate, some reasonable prices. It's the closest grocery store in the neighborhood, so location is good. There is also an extensive selection of Hispanic foods and spices.What could be better: the selection is limited, small and older footprint store, lacking up to date technology.My mother needed some quick groceries, so I took her. If she had a longer list, this wouldn't be the store to visit.

Buyers have definitely changed. Some of the products I'm use to getting here are no longer available and the prices are higher than some stores in the area but overall still like the shopping experience here. Always great to see some familiar faces as some of the employees have been here for years and feel like family.

I read a review from Elizabeth Pena.I too fell in this store about a year ago. There was a spill in the area outside the the booth/ office where they display bakery goods. I was grabbing some cornbread and slipped and hurt the inside of my grion/ thigh.Someone had put up a cone near the area but the spill was more out-reached than the cone.Clearly someone did not know how to properly block-off the area. And I had to deal with a very sore leg for almost 2 months.At the time I was treated as if I created the spill or something. One sacker kid did show some concern. But no one else. The manager didn't seem to care or maybe was afraid I would sue or something.Because these young children that work here are improperly trained and have no accountability or maturity, I stopped going here.I now go to Pearland Krogers where employees are held more accountable and customers are treated like an important source of revenue that we are.I only write this review now because it was raining and I made a decision to drive here; being only around the corner and late in the evening.The young cashier was rude and incompetent and seemed more interested at flirting with her counter-part sacker! Rung up some produce wrong. Manager did not care or care that the young sacker guy was using curse words in front of me while talking to cashier.Horrible place. Go into Pearland for items. This place does not deserve our hard earned money. I pray it get closed down.

November 20, 2022 I didn't feel like going out of the neighborhood to purchase groceries, so I decided to go to my neighborhood grocery store. I'm happy to say that Foodarama didn't let me down. I was blessed to purchase fresh produce, Cooks Shank Ham, quality breakfast meat, and other miscellaneous items. The Foodarama app helped a little on certain items. I was happy about the sale on a 10 lb bag of potatoes and Sweet Potatoes. Foodarama actually beat Krogers price on the 30 oz jar of Miracle Whip. Foodarama thank you and I hope you continue to excel in in fair prices, good customer service, and quality food. Customers please put your selected items back in the correct place if you decide not to purchase. Stockers if you see meat or dairy products left with the can goods by a lazy customer please throw it away instead of restocking. We all should do our part to have the best grocery store in Houston, Texas and Dumbarton Oaks Subdivision. Customers stop throwing your trash out on the Parking Lot. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Costumer Service booth only has 1 person working the booth and line is all the way to the door been waiting 30 minutes in line and still have 8 people before me. For like 5 minutes a person came to help and then left. Store should have more people working the booth since it's end of the month. Manager just looks at the line, as a manager I think if you see the long long line you should be able to work the booth.

Cashiers should stop using their cellphones while working. They don't greet the customer; don't smile; don't say thank you. There's no customer service training at this store:(

I raised the amount of starts and revised this review because I went back and got some fresh fruit from here. The pre-cut cantaloupe is the best I have ever had and it beats any other market in Houston. Not sure if the put sugar or some preservative substance on it but that cantelope is delicious 😋!

U know how ppl say the truth hurts well am sure this will hurt. I use too love going there spending my hard earned money. But when I slipped and fell in that store 2 months ago due to an employee not cleaning up water that he spilled. I was treated as if I did it. I fell in front of the store manager yes he was very concerned. No I never contacted a lawyer due to I thought since the manager saw it. I was afford 300$ worth of food. Treatment was so disrespectful by there insurance company. I got 500$ check that was even hard to get. I only go there due to its the only store around. I rate it a 10 for the most disgusting store. *

Poor customer service, no one cares about there job that works here, the manager walks around like a big shot with his dress shirt and tie and does nothing to manage the nonexistent quality of service that goes on in the checkout area . The teenagers that run the checkout area seem to do as the please. The service both is not excluded the two or three people that usually work back there are just as unfriendly and unprofessional.

I went in on Friday, 2/12/2021, purchased my groceries, drove home, unloaded said groceries and put them away only to notice that all the meat I had purchased was not in any of the bags. I looked at my receipt and I had paid for two Cornish hens and two packages of center cut port chops, yet it wasn’t in any of my bags.I drove back to Foodarama and the young guy who checked me out just kept staring at me until I told the security guard to call the manager. After that he reached underneath his counter and pulled out my meat. Thug.I’m done shopping at this location.Just scandalous.

Foodarama isn't what it used to be. I wouldn't buy in bulk. Just for maybe a couple days worth of produce because it spoils rather quick compared to other produce from stores using the same methods at home. The store always has something spilled. The cashiers are there for just the pay check and the service kinda sucks because they are kids or don't really want to be there. But it's an easy store to navigate and the ice cream selection is my favorite part.

Saturday, January 19, 2019 I made a visit to foodarama grocery store located on 4425 W.Fuqua in Houston TX. It was just a quick grocery stop in which the total of my items came out to 13.45. While checking out the cashier advised that my card was declined which I knew had to be a mistake. I asked her if the store had been having issues with the card system and she advised “no.” I tried again about five more times to get the payment to process and each time it had declined. Eventually I gave up and walked back to my car since I didn’t have any cash available and as soon as I was getting ready to pull off, I received an alert that the payment went through on my bank’ end. I decided to go back in the store to show proof that the payment had cleared on my end and to also retrieve a receipt as proof to show my banking institution or if possible to get the items that I had obviously been charged for. The manager which I now know as Mauro advised that there was nothing that he could do at the time and I would have to just wait up to 4 days to get my refund which made me upset because if he was not willing to void the transaction in his system, my banking institution wouldn’t believe that an actual refund would be due since the payment was complete on their end. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be upset with the bank if that was to happen because on their end, it would look as if I made a purchase and just wanted my money back even though the items were in my possession which is what I was trying to explain to the manager. All I wanted was some type of proof that I can show to my bank to make sure the refund process went through or to receive my items that I purchased. I worked in the retail business when I was younger so I definitely knew for a fact that he could have looked in their system to void the transaction in order for me to have physical proof that I did not have these items but he was not willing to help. Once I realized that he was not willing to help me, I finally decided to just walk out.While sitting in my car I made a call to my husband and explained the situation and he advised me to wait for him to get to the store so maybe he could be a second voice of reason. Instead of the manager helping us he decided to call the police on us. At the time I had no idea what he had actually reported but when the officers arrived I found out that he reported that my husband and I was stealing. When the officers arrived, I explained to them that right now I didn’t have much money and every dime that I have matters right now. The officer kept asking me “Did you ever leave the store with any merchandise?” I kept telling her no and stating that the only time I left the store was when I went back to my car when I was getting ready to leave. That’s when she advised that the reason they were there was because the manager advised them that it was a theft call. I was beyond humiliated. First from the system having a glitch and my card being declined and now this. The entire time that the officer and I were conversing the manager was nowhere in sight. HE WAS IN THE OFFICE VOIDING THE TRANSACTION WHICH IS WHAT I WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!PROOF. When he decided to show back up and explain his end to the officers, I asked him why did he call the cops and report that my husband and I was stealing from the store? He lied in front of the officers and said that “He never told them that.” At this point I was livid but I kept my composure. I am disturbed by the fact that not only did he refuse to take the extra step the first time to help me by voiding the transaction to have proof but he had now had insulted me even more by calling the cops and stating that we stole from the store. I work hard for every dime that I have and the level of humiliation that I experienced today is unexplainable. I live in this area and I really hope that this person is handled appropriately. I would hate to do so but if nothing is done I will definitely take further action.

Frozen food that has completely thawed out and then refrozen to put back on the shelves to sell, the item is not expired but it is spoiled.Bell pepper had worms in itI do not feel safe shopping here

Bad and rude service ,they not respect the Prices listed I took a picture of the price listed and show it to the cashier she walk away whit the iteams asking to the person in charge about whats going on, I show it to them in my phone at the store too, they said it was a mistake this happen at fuqua store sauthgate shopping center, very upset because the rude service I do not going to spend my money an a store whit that rude service .

So Carmelita is extremely rude. I mean she did not acknowledge me at all when I came to her line. She has EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I feel that if you do not like your job then you should go and do something else or move to another part of the store where you do not interact with people. I said thank you as I finished my transaction and she jammed the receipt and change in my hand and didn't say anything. WOW

When items are on sale for some reason they're not changed at the register I always have to watch the register or I will be overcharged like I was today. I brought bacon regular 11.99 on sale for 7.99 and was charged 11.99. Please enter your sell items in your registers thank you.

This foodarama has zero customer service when it comes to placing a cake order at their bakery. I stood there in line for 15 minutes for her to skip over me to help a customer who came after me. Then tells me I need to order at an earlier time. She informs me I can do it over the phone but when I all the next day I get the excuse no one can take my order but they are working in the bakery.. Needless to say I won’t be back. Those ladies who work back there clearly need to fire!!!

This is the only supermarket that does not have disinfecting wipes to clean the carts, they do not have a hand sanitizer and they do not mind helping to protect their customers. HEB and its other supermarkets are the best

Pretty much the only choice in the immediate area, which stinks because this store is no good. Poor selection, high prices and subpar meat and produce. The less I say about the customer service the better. Do yourself a favor and go to Joe Vs or Fiesta.

I've never left a review for a grocery store, but I felt this was necessary. After Houston and the surrounding areas just survived one of the worst storms this country ever faced, what does foodarama do? THEY RAISE THE PRICES ON FOOD ITEMS...you need to be ashamed of yourselves. Needless to say, I'll NEVER patronize foodarama again

Every thing at this store is low quality and the prices are like you are shopping at Krogers. If they have 50 shopping carts 45 of them are broken. We are not going to talk about some of the attitudes of the cashier
