Small little fish/bird store. They sell a bunch of fishes, some you don't normally find in a regular pet store such as Arowana, lungfishes, and a buff shrimp lol. They sell a lot of little birdies as well, but I don't know the specific types. They don't sell any dogs or cats, but they do sell some accessories.Small parking lot. Staff are friendly.

Back in the day they used to have cool stuff. Now they only carry stuff that every petco and petsmart carries. I remember they had shark eggs, blue ring octopus, live sharks.

This place had a variety of fish which was nice. Most of the fish looked healthy , but some of the betta fish suffered from fin rot. We got there around 6 pm and they do close at 7 but as soon as we got there 10 minutes in they shut the lights of on us as if they were closed.I feel , if you have customers in the store its rude to shut the lights off on them. Also it was super hot in there like no AC. The guy that helped us out was super nice though but the owner seemed rude and in a hurry to get us out so he could close.

Good selection of aquatic animals and exotic fish that other shops don't have. Their prices for some common fish and plants may be a little high but if you are looking for oddball specimens you may find it here. They have pea puffers here!

We bought our sweet boy, Jasper from here. He was supposedly 4 weeks which is on the young side for taking away from their mother but he has been with us for 3 weeks now and is thriving! He was the last of his litter. I have also purchased my previous rabbit of 10 years from this location, whom lived a long life. Healthy rabbits are owned by good care givers though. Anyone interested in owning a rabbit please do your research before dedicating yourself to one. My first rabbit passed due to being separated from mom too soon and for the wrong diet! The stores supply is healthy, it is taking them home and not caring for them properly that people go wrong...Prices were decent and fair!

We drove all the way there from Beaumont. Yes almost 100 miles to see their Amazing Iguanas.My Boyfriend was so impressed. We now have extended Our Family by 3 & as soon as the one we originally had planned to go see is replenishedWe will be going back. They are very healthy and happy. After almost a week they have easily adjusted to their new home. And are getting along very. Boyfriend is so pleased. Thanks City Pets !!

I found the city pets to be one of the best store in Houston. I got 2 Oscar Cichlids and went out very happy. I loved the guy who helped me as he was very courtageous and knowledgeable. The price the best in the market!!!

They are so helpful there. You can tell they love animals and they take good care of the pets they have til they come to your home.i recommended going here for all of your fish needs. I also love talking to the parrots there as well.

Have been going to city pets on and off for over 24 years.The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable ready to answer your questions.We picked out a healthy and active rabbit last year and it's doing great. We stopped by last weekend to pick up a parakeet for a family member and picked out one for us too.Our parakeet is doing good on the farm.We could not recommend this place enough it's a good place just to visit on any given day.Their salt water collection is always cool to see.

Awesome place. I bought a rabbit for my three sons. It’s not super close to the house but I’ve been back for supplies twice. It’s fun to browse, there are lots of fish and interesting things you won’t find at a corporate pet store. I feel good supporting local independent businesses. This is the one!

Mediocre at best. This place has sadly gone downhill over the years. Staff could care less about you being there and their prices aren't competitive at all. Hardly any fish in the store. Not sure what happened to this place but other fish stores don't have issues getting plenty of fish in. Hope they can recover from whatever is challenging them.

Everything is very over priced. Try another place.Owners response that "he is doingthis business for 38 years" is just a trick to hide his price gouging practice.Sir,your price gouging tricks survived in past because customers didn't have online reviews option availble in the past. Thanks to Google and Internet customers can freely share theirexperience, and views now.The fact remains, you over charge! Your prices for the similar items are High than many other than places around. Sorry if you didn't like this fact.Instead of keep repeating the price gouging practice of the last 38 years, just lower your prices to help those poor families, children who come to your shop but leavedue to your greed ! I love this place. I got my first set of fish from here. The staff is very knowledgeable of everything. I asked them so many questions and felt very comfortable doing so. If they don’t have the answer, they will find out. I go here most days to get crickets for my tarantula and all of my fish needs. I would recommend this place to all. I definitely loved the help and care during COVID-19. ❤️😎
