Was floating the Frio with some friends over the weekend and needed a place to keep my Jamba girl. Did a random Google search for "dog kennels" in the area and after reading reviews on each one decided to give Wernette's a call. Talked to Miss Brenda several times and was excited to meet her when I dropped my girl off. BEAUTIFUL place and super friendly. Even better is that I could tell by the look on Jamba's face that she had a good time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Great place! The BEST KENNEL I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. I do not trust any other Kennel like I trust this Kennel with my newfoundlands and chihuahua. She has a great price and both owners demonstrate professionalism and integrity. I'm willing to drive 3 hours out of the way to know my dogs will be taken care of by these owners. Definitely recommend to give a 1 -3 month notice but it is WORTH the planning to be able to have your fur babies taken care by this kennel.

We love Brenda and Bobby! Will not take our Izzy and Hondo anywhere else. They are celebrities at Wernette’s Country Kennel! Highly recommend this very clean and perfect place for your doggie babes!

Excellent facility and excellent care! We are so grateful for Brenda and Bob because we know our pups will be loved and well taken care of while we are away. We have utilized this kennel in both the summer and winter months and they maintain the perfect temperature in the kennel area. Their latest renovations provide a clean and organized space and the price is very reasonable!

The kennels are always clean and her rates are highly competitive.Brenda is fantastic with our animals. She has extensive experience with animal care and clearly loves them. She truly does such a wonderful job.Also, Brenda is such a lovely person.I highly recommend the Wernette’s Country Kennel.

The Wernette Kennels are so nice and clean that I wish I could board myself there! My dogs love it there! When I arrive, they run ahead and put themselves in the kennel! A huge plus is Mrs, Wernette’s experience as a vet tech in case anything unusual comes up with my dogs. I honestly cannot think of one thing negative about the kennels or the Wernetts. Thanks to you both for taking great care of my babies.

My Weimer Sal did his first week at Wermette"s County Kennel and I think I was just as happy with his stay as he was. A/C, clean and owners were extremely friendly like leaving Sal with family. Thanks Bob and Brenda.

I’ve been using them for about 5-6 years and never had an issue. They’ve treated my dog Baya like their own. It’s amazing to know when I have to go away that she is so very well taken care of.
