We love this small hometown grocer. The meat specials are great! Rib eye, NY strip are frequently $3.99/ pound. The split or sawed in half chicken hind quarters are always reasonable and cook up nicely. Produce is fresh...and checked frequently. But our favorite part is the checkout counter. The girls on the register and Tanner are friendly, quick and fun to talk to!

So I came for ground beef and they had 3 different kind, this one, ground chuck and fresh beef. I asked 2 employees and 1 of them doesn't know the products while 1 of the owners was talking to the other employee. The 2 person came were I was at with my sister and he just said "it's that one" with a bad customer service expression towards us. NEVER again will buy any kind of beef

Not too bad. Very organized they have what you need in basic cooking. Expensive, but it's the only market for quite a distance in radius. We're vacationing on this Texas coast @ S. Padre Island. This was closest market. We bought the bag of Chix leg quarters, very good buy. Was very tender too.. the generic brand, "Best Yet" is delicious!! My hub is a chef, so he knows his sh--!! The eggs were better than the name brand. The canned tomatoes were amazing. He bought the sugar, eggs, flour and the rest "Best Yet" he made the most delicious breads, cinnamon bread too.. All the food there is really good it's worth it!! Great selection of spices too!!

What a lovely store! Just happened to stop for the first time. Everything was beautifully stacked and organized(all shelves and aisles). When I say stacked, picture if you will the fruits and vegetables in a nice, flat-top, pyramid formation. I didn't want to mess up their awesome setup so I took limes from the back. Lol. Customer service was also friendly. Will be back again. Keep up the wonderful job, Rio Hondo!

This has to be the cleanest supermarket I have ever been in. All of the products are beautifully displayed and edged on the shelves. There is someone available to help you find items. This is a small market and they don't carry a large variety of groceries, but they do have a great selection of fresh meat. Check out the freezer as you will find shrimp, pigs feet and lamb cuts. They also sell lottery tix!

This is a nice little store with a great produce section and quite a wide variety of good, well known products. Store is clean and bright and employees were very pleasant. Most of the meat seems to be from Mexico. Not sure if that's an issue, but just so you know.

Mike's is a small town grocery store that has everything you need. Prices are good and staff is always friendly. Love to get the Mexican limes from there.

I love Mike's. This is a relatively small and simple grocery store. It's always fully stocked with everything you want and need in a grocery store. As I write this, we're in the midst of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. During this exceedingly difficult time, Mike's has become my go-to place. Always fully stocked and clean with not too many people in there at any one time. Easy to get in and out safely and quickly. It's a lifesaver for those of us trying to avoid the big crowds at HEB and Wally World.

I Love shopping here especially since everyone knows everyone in our town. You go down there and they treat you very polite never ever a bad experience. Store is very neat and organized. But it's a small grocery store so don't expect to find many options still worth it to go and see.

This is a decent, small grocery store with your basic needs. Most of the time they'll have things you need like batteries or fresh fruit but I couldn't find a thermometer. I would not reccommend buying meat there if you can avoid it. Last time we purchased meat, it was bad or expired. Please male sure to check the labels before purchase! It's a cute little grocery otherwise.

I love coming here before heading to South Padre Island. The store environment is always friendly and neat. Mr. Gearhart is my favorite sacker, he always knows how to make the customers laugh and keep them happy.

Quick trip to Mike's Super Market in Rio Hondo. Found everything we needed and then some. Marion found some New York strip steaks, and ice cream not on the list. Gonna be so good. Thanks Mike's for being so handy!!
