We purchased “bug” our bearded dragon from pets a plenty and had a wonderful experience! I went to pets a plenty on the recommendation of my father who speaks very highly of pets a plenty. Thank you so much for all your help and advice. The employees at the shop are extremely intelligent and friendly. Thanks to all the advice we were able get our new bearded dragon set up with everything we need for him. I called with many questions about feeding, lighting, etc and they are always very helpful. “Bug” is such a wonderful addition to our family and such a joy to have! It’s also worth noting we were told “bug” was a rescue and I think it’s extremely admirable that they do animal rescues. We will be back in the future if we need anything! 5 star service! Really nice and knowledgeable staff. Took the time to talk us through the set-up for our new bearded dragon (we were originally looking at a leopard gecko and had to make some adjustments). Love that they offer boarding services, too! We are so happy to welcome “Nugget” home!

Honestly the best pet store I’ve been to. Half the time we come just to let the kids look around, while purchasing our crickets or pinkies. The team here are very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and willing to help however they can. I bought my baby Hognose here, and Andy and Anika have been so helpful in answering any questions. They have prebuilt tanks, used tanks, just the tank, and whatever else you may need!

We live close by and get crickets here every 2 weeks or so and my 3 boys LOVE looking around at all the reptiles EVERY TIME! There is always something new and we love seeing all the Venomous snakes❤️🐍🦎

Great place to go for your reptile needs. I walked in to get food for a leopard gecko. The gecko hasn't been eating. Andy was so helpful. Gave us all the necessities. Gecko is now eating. They are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend getting info and supplies from there.

Very cool place to visit! Tons of snakes and lizards and turtles to look at. Their pet turkey walks around the store who is pretty cool. Many of these animals I've never been able to see up close before. Cool experience. Got to feed a dead mouse to a frog named cream puff, and that was awesome. Go visit this place! Oh, did I mention you can pay a few bucks to feed an alligator?

Worth the drive, so many exotics to list. Does not smell like other stinky shops. Bought a beardie there,and the experience was so nice. Very educated folks, Onica,hope the spelling is correct was so helpful. I did not have enough heat light to keep the dragon warm. She was able to explain the watts of light for the distance in the tank. RARE, to find this kind of knowledge.. And the prices beat any stores in Houston. Check it out,take the family its free.

I had driven by this place a few times with curiosity. One day after picking my kiddos up from school I decided to go check it out and they carried an item I was looking for. Let me tell you we were there over an hour. This place is awesome the staff is awesome and just the entire vibe in the place is awesome. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, great with kids, and I learned alot about reptiles along the way. For just going in for one item and leaving with knowledge happy kids and conversation for the rest of the evening at home I'd give this place 100 stars if I could. If you have t been here you are missing out don't be like me and wonder go check it out!

I drove an hour from home and it was well worth the drive! Johnny knew exactly what he was talking about and even gave me a guide on how to take care of my beardie. The dos and donts. I was very impressed with his knowledge and passion about all the animals. Even the crickets and mice. You can’t get this type of service at petsmart or any chain pet store. He set me up well with the BEST way to care for my beardie. Definitely will be making that drive again. And for anyone who wants to know, crickets are the cheapest around. They have everything you need!

This is such a cool store! It’s like walking in to the reptile section at the zoo! They have several venomous snakes, poison dart frogs, geckos, bearded dragons, etc... My boys loved waking through the store looking at all the different reptiles! The chickens strutting around is a nice fu touch too.

Coolest pet store in town. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Came here to purchase an axolotl and the shop was very helpful in explaining how to set up the tank and water chemistry. Highly recommend doing business here.

The staff here are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! I usually get feeders but plan on getting a few animals from here in the future. Prices are usually on the low end depending what you are looking for and they have so many different exotics to see, including the venomous snakes and the kookaburra.

Bought a Spider Ball Python here, she is very healthy looking and docile. Extremely helpful and kind staff. They also have a very wide selection of different reptiles and “exotic” animals to choose from. Will definitely come here again once I’m ready to buy another snake.

This store was amazing! They helped me immensely with my bearded dragon which was fantastic! They carry dubia roaches and have such a variety of animals. I would be lying if I said I didn’t wanna go home with all of them. I didn’t want to be a bother but I could have stayed a while to just admire the animals. They care about their exotics now it is a bit of a drive for me but due to the care and passion and kindness of the employees this is my forever stop for my reptile! They also know a vet will be hitting them so I can set up for my babies first appointment! If you own an exotic pet this is your place!!

You can tell these employees care about animals! I just bought a baby redfooted tortoise from them and I'm quite the beginner/novice at reptile care. I had about 2-3 employees all helping me at the same time, all making sure I was getting the right things and giving me great advice on proper care and nutrition for my new baby.An employee even helped carry my new enclosure to my truck and helped load it! Baby Shelldon is a very happy and healthy tortuga!

This place is incredible! My son had been wanting a reptile for months. We’ve been to several reptile shops and BIG name “PetStores” all over the North Houston area. This place is definitely worth the drive. Andy took time to answer all of our questions about Ball Pythons, Corn Snakes and Bearded Dragons. He also brought up several things we weren’t even aware of after all of our research, and had questions for us to make sure he was suggesting the right animal for my son. I can’t say enough good things about Andy and the rest of the staff…especially after some of the other places we’ve been to recently. The amount of knowledge and care they take in their animals and breeding’s really shows.They have what is basically the equivalent of a Reptile zoo in their shop. My kids loved walking around and looking at everything. Son left with his new Corn Snake that is healthy and doing very well in her new home.I see why this place has such good reviews now!

I’ve been going to this place for a few years now. They are my absolute favorite pet shop in the greater Houston area. Everyone is always so nice and helpful whenever I go, the shop kookaburra always makes me smile, and the selection of reptiles, invertebrates, and supplies are the best in town. Even my exotic vet speaks highly of them! If you haven’t been before, definitely go as they’re with the drive!

No complaints about customer Service. But it seem most for the animals weren't for sale. And if they were they were twice the amount then if you had just bought it yourself online. No feeders for sale. Most of the items that were for sale looked kinda cheaply made. It seemed more like a mini glorified zoo.

I am a regular here and I can honestly say that this is the best reptile store in Houston. I absolutely love the staff and the wide variety of animals available! I have 13 snakes of various species and 2 leopard geckos. The majority of these animals are from Pets a Plenty and they provided excellent service with healthy, thriving animals! Andy, Johnny and Mayson are the people I normally talk to and they are charismatic and very helpful!I have included the 2 newest members of my family, the leopard geckos. (Sun[female] and Moon [male])

Coolest pet shop in Texas! They breed their own special pythons! They have stuff that the zoo doesn't.... You can feed almost anything there!
