I took my dog to a Penny in Paws for a consultation to get him fixed, They quoted me $500. Animal coalition provided the same service with pain meds for $80. I picked up my dog after about six hours. He didn’t seem upset. for the amount of dogs they get I feel like they did a great job for a fraction of the price. Thank you.

Always great and affordable. The staff is very nice even though they have a ton of work. Great customer service. Will recommend and keep using them in the future. I've had 3 cats fixed and my last was pregnant and they still took her in and took great care of her.

Great people working to keep our pets safe and healthy. I go to their vaccination and spay/neuter clinics because they offer excellent quality services for a great price. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to do any of these things easily. I'd be even more strapped than I am.I can always suggest them if you need any of those services and more.

My dog was taken here after an accident and my husband was hospitalized. They took amazing care of our baby and even took her to the vet to ensure she was OK. Pretty sure they wouldn't have asked for a dime although but there was no way we could have done that. We insisted on finding out and would have donated at worse, that's how much they cared about our baby!

I would give it 5 stars but we had 2 sit in the hot weather and wait for over 3 hrs. That's not there fault. We are incredibly grateful for there cheap services or we couldn't take care of our loved one. Any other time of year 5 stars. Thanks so much to the volunteers. I voluntered up there once and it's not easy.

I was shown a paper that had all info I was interested in. Only 1 copy. I offered to make more copies but I realized they couldn't let their 1 copy go to a complete stranger. I realize the smell is part of the habitat but it did seem excessive coming out of the door when it was opened. Don't they have windows to open?

Really good shelter to adopt, nutter, & spade cats & dogs. They have a great affordable program! With a low budget they make it possible to get your furry family member the care they need when it comes to getting them fixed. Staff are super friendly. You also, get a discount if you’re taking a stray to get fixed. If you do take a start in, they require you to take it in a trap cage for easier sedation, surgery procedures. Not sure how regulations are now , with covid. But definitely worth giving them a call to make an appointment.

These peope are great, over the past few months they've helped me out alot with my 3 furbabies and helped my dad out with his 2. The locations can be a little crowded with everybody trying to get their animals taken care of at the same time, but these guys handle it very well and do an amazing with the animals... it definitely shows that they love animals and enjoy helping in anyway they canTHANK YOU PAW PALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Paw Pals for their continued support during our week long ordeal with our missing kitten Firecracker. The reunion was met with much joy. Thankful and blessed to have a support system like Paw Pals.

I had to go to Hilsboro and saw pawpals. I lost my chi 2 years ago may. I am at a place where I thought maybe just look. So I stopped in. Went to the counter and asked do you allow people to look at the dogs?. She looked at me , got up and started to the back door where a man and woman just walked in from outside. They both stood at the swinging gate/small door. So I asked, do you allow people to come in and look at the dogs?. His response, "NO!" "YOUNEED AN APPOINTMENT! " He walked thru the door 'escorting ' me to the door. Just before the door he said 'the number is on the door. You can imagine for the first time in 2 years I'm thinking of rescuing another dog and the joy turn to disappointment. When the door closed it even sounded like he locked the door behind me. I realize they both looked hot and sweaty as if they had been working in the heat probably for the dogs, BUT......With so many dogs needing homes this is not the way to find them.

Curbside was fast and got everything I needed. Only complaint is they used way too many bags. I has several bags with only one item.

The service was EXTREMELY terrible. I am currently getting my degree to become a veterinarian and as soon as I walked in the door a very bitter lady immediately snapped at me and said “you cannot just walk in here.” I did call ahead however no one answered, so like any normal human being wanting to adopt a pet, I drove to paw pals. I felt very attacked just walking through the door. I firmly believe in treating people the way you want to be treating and that was not acceptable. Please do not go here for adoption, (unless you want attitude and rude customer service) there are very nice places in Waco!

My Friends dog was taken by the dogcatcher who had a collar on it was in the front yard and every time we tried to call the dogcatcher he would not answer the phone and then when we tried to call Paw Pals I do understand it’s a volunteer organization but we called Paw pals multiple times two and left messages but if no one calls you back Till days later they say it’s been past 72 hours and the dog no longer belongs to us and won’t give me any information it’s one thing if I didn’t care about this dog and my friend wasn’t trying to get it back but we do care about the dog and we tried to get the dog and the dogcatcher would not answer the phone we had to call the nonemergency line to make him call us back and it took Paw Pals three days to call us back so how can we get something done in 72 hours if no one will call us back .. and weDid go out looking for him and going from house to house so it’s not like we did not try to find him I even got his first set of puppy shots done at Paw pals ... you would think there’s enough homeless and stray dogs out there that really need homes that they would want to give a dog back to somebody who wants them so that they have a nice bed and a kennel for a dog who could really use it

Just took my kitten to Hillsboro paw pals to get spayed. The vet & helpers come from Denton once a month. I've had several cats spayed/ neutered there over the years. I live in Waxahachie, 35 miles away. This time 12/3/19 was horrible. Usually its first come first serve. So, I wait out front. That morning I was there and had all paper work done and paid first. Usually I get a call at 10 am telling me how the surgery went and when to get them. No call came this time. AT 1PM I went on to use the RRand check on my kitten. There were LOTS of dogs barking, it was SO loud. I saw my cat crate and looked in. She was huddled in the back, big eyes, so scared. Within 3 feet were the dog crates. The dogs staring , constantly barking into all the cats crates. All barking like crazy. These cats had been that way for hours. I thought she was done as it had been hours. I asked the helper (long dark haired girl) She said they did the dogs first. Hadnt gotten to the cata at all. It was 1pm. I asked if she'd ask the vet when my kitten would be finished, she said, " you're not supposed to be back there" I told her I went to the RR & the animals are right there. She asked another person if we were allowed to use the RR there. Really??I told her I was waiting outside and I needed to know how long. (ID BEEN WAITING almost 5 hours) She came back and said rudely, "COME BACK AT 3, NOT BEFORE.IM NOT COMING OUT TO GET YOU". They make thousands month, yet this girl treats people so rudely.I came back in at 2:45 my kitten was ready. So in 1 hr 45 min after surgery, I took her home. The whole experience for me & my cat was horrible. No wonder they don't want people back to see how horrible it is for the animals. Money is the bottom line. Why not separate the dogs from cats?

I am a student at Baylor University, and planned to live alone. I wanted a companion with me to keep me company and I would walk and exercise with frequently. I’ve been a dog owner my whole life. I would be moving into an apartment with a dog. I felt insulted when Betty Hendricks, belittled me and my father in an attempt to rescue a dog from their shelter. She also said that there would be “loud noises, and too many parties” to be able to have a dog. And with my showing frustration that I wasn’t allowed to obtain the specific dog that I wanted, she stated that “I assume you always get what you want, but today is an exception”. She was incredibly condescending in her conversations with my father and I over the phone. In addition, She refrenced our own dog, stating that if they didn’t get along, we would throw him back into the street, which is not the case. The people who worked in the shelter itself were fantastic in every way. Mrs. Hendricks on the other hand, was not, and was incredibly difficult to work with just over the phone. I highly recommend to look for other locations for adoption.

The volunteers were wonderful. The cats were cute. It's a little hard to know how to get hold of somebody and whether anyone is in the office. Maybe more information posted by the door would help.

My family and I submitted our application and Betty called us back. I felt like I was in a job interview. My family wanted to adopt a dog and give it a 2nd chance. We were judged off of our Facebook page that she went through. Because our outside dog wandered off and she saw my post. We have many animals on our property and properly fenced and was still turned down. She made me feel as if we weren't competent enough to give a dog a good, loving home. For those that know us know we treat our pets like family and with all the proper care. Save your money and go to a different rescue or the human society.

My sweet was longing for a new companion so I took her by to tease her. No intention of actuality getting a puppy but.... heart strings were exposed. So we now have Lexi.

Im Jeannie Wallin and my family loves Paw Pals. Betty and the other volunteers work and give tirelessly. They absolutely make certain their animals are only released into ideal environments. We are eternally grateful for our new family members. Their rehoming fee was so much less than it is at shelters in my area. There's no way I could get a dog spayed, checked by an AWESOME vet, and given all vaccines for as little as I paid.I LOVE THIS PLACE AND THESE PEOPLE! 😍

I called asking for help rehoming my dog and the lady was very rude and told me to take my baby that i already dont want to lose to a shelter where they will put him down cause it's better than just putting him out on the road witch is somthing I will never ever do . litteraly broke my heart her last name was Hendrix. Somthing needs to be done cause I'm clearly not the only person shes done this to.
