We just waited over half an hour for a burger and chicken strips and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The lady working the counter kept interrupting our order to yell at the cook in the back and then announced that she had to go pee. We should have left then. While waiting, we watched an off duty employee go behind the counter to make her own blizzard and chat with the cook for a while. The floor was filthy. The place was dirty, slow, no where close to professional. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any fast food restaurant.

I wouldn’t recommend this Dairy Queen if it was the last one in this world! We were the first people in the drive thru and we had to wait 30 mins on our food and it was ice cold! Couldn’t take it back bc we’re headed to Dallas for a love on that doesn’t have much time to live. This is very very awful for fair queen! I give this place and the window lady a 0000

Really not sure what to say I read the reviews but decided to go anyway. Spent 25 minutes in the drive-through waiting on ice cream. I tried to leave multiple times but was stuck between giant trucks spewing diesel fumes and misplaced Testosterone. I am not sure what was going on I’ve never been to a Dairy Queen that has so many employees just staring and only one person working on ice cream. Ordered a hot fudge sundae I was given a cup of ice cream with Nuts I’m not sure what that was. Eventually our order was correct and everything did taste good.

Thought I'd buy a banana split today; where else but Dairy Queen! I placed my order and got it delivered to my car within 10 minutes. Not bad...except, I was given a banana split without a banana! The individual who delivered it said they were out of bananas. This is Dairy Queen! and they were out of bananas. WOW! I tried this place a few times before and have never been impressed but this experience has finally made me decide to never come here again. Based on other customer reviews this Dairy Queen is the worst of the worst. Whoever runs this place should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for letting it get so bad.

This place is by far the worst dq in texas. Bad service, bad food, never get what you pay for, they don't answer the phones at all (either number on the receipt), sell melted blizzards and cold food, and have horrible attitudes. They should be shut down by the health department. Attached are photos of what we ordered and what we got. This is why you shouldn't do drugs kids, you will end up just like these winners.

After waiting at the speaker for 5 minutes with no response, I was immediately asked to pull up and park for my food to be “made fresh” and brought out. I waited 12 minutes, had to go in myself to get the food, and literally NONE of it was fresh. Not at all. The steak fingers were hard cold and chewy, the sandwich was dry thick and yes, cold, and the fries were half cooked and cold. Worst Dairy Queen I have visited and will not be back.

All I can say is wow, I’ve never been to a Dairy Queen that has been operated like this. It’ll be very hard for me to even consider giving this location another try and the owner should probably start having secret shoppers hit this place up.First, I got to the drive thru and waited behind the car at the intercom about three minutes. Thinking maybe it was that customer, I decided to just pull around and go inside.Upon entry, there was no welcoming or even an acknowledgement of me being a customer. Once I approached the registered the young man came up and just waited for me to start the procedure by looking at me. Normally it’s a clerk who starts the ordering process.I first asked for the fish sandwich combo, after he roughly looked over the computer for a moment he told me they “must not carry that item anymore”. He even looked at the displayed menu seeing it was there, but since he couldn’t find it on the computer, they suddenly didn’t carry it.Okay, so then I asked him what dressing comes on the Dude combo. His response “I dunno, I’ve never had it”… really? I should have just walked out at this point but I decided to trudge through.Amazingly in the end my order was correct. However, while waiting I observed just how dirty this store was. The beverage counter was dirty and there was a overflow of trash trash from the bin. Then I noticed trash just sitting around in various areas.Once my order was ready, the young man handed me the order that was made to go. When I told him I still hadn’t received the slushy drink, he just turned around and walked away. He didn’t even attempt to get the drink or tell anyone else to help me.Eventually a young lady came up asking if I ordered a ice cream and I told her I was still waiting on a slushy… she made the drink and then I finally left this god awful operation.This place looks clean on the outside and you’d think it will be a traditional DQ experience. Well it’s not! My advice, avoid this DQ stop sign of Texas and go to the truck stop next door. At least those folks welcomed me and asked how I was doing etc.I really wish I had taken more photos but I was just ready to get the heck outta there and home to feed the family.I know some will think I’ve embellished this review, but out of all my reviews. This is probably the worse one I have ever given this much detail on.They can’t even blame Covid for the poor customer service at this store. At this point they should be able to find people who are willing to put a hint more care into their work than these kids. Even if a replacement just said ‘yeah’ to me, that would had been a 100 percent improvement on customer service.

The staff has done better. The food is pretty good and they may ask you to park and wait for them to deliver it to your car. I didn't mind.

Very unprofessional and slow "service." There were 4 workers though 1 was on break. We were only people when we arrived and waited 5 minutes to order. 2 more customers came after us.We wanted root beer floats. We were told ice cream was completely out so we ordered food and 2 root beers. They gave us 1 cup and walked off so we grabbed the 2nd cup (we were charged for 2). The next customers were handed cups too. However, the self serve machine was broken and none of the working staff told us. It was the person on break who did.So all 4 of us had to go back to the counter for help with soda. It was only then we were told they didn't have root beer or ice. The soda was warm too so we threw them out. If we'd been warned earlier we wouldn't have ordered drinks.About 10 minutes after we ordered, they gave ice cream to the customers after us. This is puzzling since they told us it was out and the other customers were immediately after us. If they were intending to turn the machine on they could have told us it was a short wait. Instead, no workers made any comment which seems rude given we initially stopped to get floats.Finally, when we had been there about 25 minutes we saw the other customers get their food so we asked for a refund. We were then given our food that had apparently been sitting on the side. The burger was made wrong and the gravy was missing. We decided to just leave though since the staff didn't even apologize, they just made an excuse they're short staffed.Most of these issues could have been resolved by direct communication and consideration. Spend more time on accountability and professional conduct in the future.

Negative 4 stars! We had to wait 5 minutes to order and there wasn't anyone in the restaurant. I ordered the fish sandwich and the girl said they didn't have it. Then I ordered steak finger combo with a root beer float and the girl said they are out of ice cream, so I asked for a premade Dilly bar and a root beer. My daughter also ordered a burger combo and a root beer. We paid and the girl set one cup on the counter and walked off. We grabbed a second cup and went to the lobby drink station and found out quickly that it was not working and had no ice or sodas. We walked back to the counter and the girl was nowhere to be seen. A guy who may have been the manager came by after a few minutes and asked if we needed help and we asked for Root beer and we told him the lobby drinks station was not working and he already knew that, then he told us they were out of ice and root beer. We asked for diet coke, but it was too warm to drink. We waited 17 minutes for our food. The people who came in after us got ice cream and their food before I went up and asked for a refund and actually yelled at the manager and said "what's wrong with you people!?" Then I told him about all the things that were wrong and how long it has been and he looks over under the warmer and said "Is that your food?" I said "How would I know?". They kitchen guy said they're short staffed. But, I used to work at McDonald's and I could have completed the order by myself faster than the four worker who were on site. There were no other customers in the restaurant waiting on food when we ordered. Only two more ordered a few minutes after us. Maybe there is something in the water in Hillsboro? Is everyone in town this slow? This is absolutely the worst fast food service I have ever experienced. I took my food that was sitting under the warmer and left and when I opened the steak finger box in the car, the fries were undercooked and there was no gravy! They were lucky I had already left the restaurant because I would have totally lost it.

Already shutting down, 30 minutes before closing. we tried to order a drink, and the machine had not been changed or cleaned. I got a dipped cone, and it was dripping, and the worker said that always happens, and they wouldn’t give me a napkin to use. I would never ever stop at this DQ again. It was the worse DQ we’ve been ever been to. The staff was so rude to us too. We think it should be shut down by the health department. And, they don’t ever answer the phone.

So disappointed as much as we love DQ. We ordered a steak finger basket and a bacon and cheese burger meal. My steak fingers & fries were rock hard and the gravy was salty and still powdery. The burger was overcooked & we noticed they put it in the microwave to warm up with the lettuce and tomatoes inside. Threw the whole meal away and thanks to Burger King for saving and satisfying our hunger!!!! Never again will we stop at this DQ location(Hillsboro)

DO NOT GO HERE. My boyfriend and I stopped here on a road trip and he got a patty melt and they did not even give him a patty on his burger. It was just lettuce and jalapeños. Only gave me 3 out of my 4 steak fingers and the smallest amount of gravy. Not to mention the blizzard I ordered was supposed to be chocolate and it was just vanilla and was completely melted. Also took 30 minutes to get our food!

Seen at least 8 people come and go cause no one would talk to them. People waiting upwards of 20 minutes for food. I wait 25 for chili cheese fries a small Dr pepper and a small cone. My Dr Pepper was a diet cake and they said that I would have to wait 10 more minutes so the ice cream could get cold. Left without my ice cream cause the guy didn't know how to operate register.I love DQ ice cream but I will never come here again

I have no problems with Dairy Queen as a whole. THIS Dairy Queen, however, as it is currently staffed is nothing but problems. Most of the employees I have interacted with simply just do not care to do anything but the absolute bare minimum, often times not even that. The ones with something of a work ethic seem to not stick around too long, probably because they're constantly picking up the overwhelming amount of slack. If you want a Dilly Bar or something that you can just grab out of the freezer yourself, go ahead, but if you are wanting for anything else I would look elsewhere.

This is more of a pat on the back review. This little boy and I'm assuming Grand father, found a wallet full of cash and credit cards on the floor inside the Dairy Queen and found the owner it belonged to instead of keeping it. The owner said he whole life was in his wallet (he knew the color of the wallet and its contents without seeing it). God bless the good folks of Texas.

Amazing ice cream, decent prices but the food is not so great. There is none better for ice cream than Dairy Queen. If I could just rate their ice cream I would give 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately they also serve food.

If I had the opportunity to give them -5 stars, I would absolutely horrible negative service not only did I get the wrong order three times. Once I receive my fish order, I got one piece of fish made. My milkshake was melted, and both of the drinks that I received from the drink machine were nasty and flash when asked about getting a better drink out of it wasn’t their problem is I need to pay extra horrible service

Wow... very unorganized. Requested side of gravy, they were out. Charged me for gravy, waited 45 minutes for someone to make.. Meal was finished by the time I asked for gravy, as it sat under heat lamp. Gravy was simply water. Gave it back.I ask myself, who can't make gravy, add water, stir.People were walking out. In some sort of defense on their behalf, they claim being short staffed. (Scheduling, people)Fries were cold and soggy.Soda machine was out of soda and ice.No napkins, straws.Sure was a different experience from what I imagined prior to walking in.Won't be stopping again.Just my opinion and experience.In closing, the staff did appear to do their best.

What the heck is going on here? The only explanation I can come up with is that they were/are under a management change. It is literally the closest restaurant to our house. We moved to Hillsboro in Dec 2022. For 6 months, we’ve seen them seemingly closed for weeks on end. Then saying their drive thru was open, but their ice cream machine was down. Quality and service have been all over the place during all this time. Last week, we noticed cars in the parking lot and drive thru. Thought “ok cool”. Big yellow signs on the doors pointing to new hours, and apparently new franchisees.The poor girl behind the counter seemed jittery, frightened to be there - like she just started five minutes before I walked in. I was the only person inside. Shaking, she took my money. After what seemed like an eternity, she handed me my order. Cold burger. Even colder fries, and the absolute sloppiest excuse for a dipped cone I’ve ever seen. Cannot believe I paid $12 for such a subpar experience.I love DQ. I have ever since I could talk/walk. And we were beyond thrilled when we discovered one so close to our house. But until they get their “poop in a group”, as my mom says, we’ll just make the trek 30 miles in either direction to the next DQ.GET IT TOGETHER.
