Went to Highlands, Tx Dollar General this morning for a remodle sale, hoping to score a few needed penny items.. it is always a hit or miss if the employee's are doing their job.. As I was doing my thing looking for penny items scanning with my app... the manager and a couple of other people began rolling out cart after cart from the back.. (All Penny Items) I was excited thought maybe they were putting them out to sale.. I asked the manager if they were available for purchase and she told me... Yes but she and 8 other employees were buying and splitting them and that they had pulled it all the night before... literally rang them up right then and there, had their truck back up to the door and had a crew loading it up... to my understanding employee's are not allowed to purchase penny items..

The first time that I ever went into the store the manager was screaming at an employee well I just went there today and had a few items and a manager's kids were running all over the store about I was getting ready to check out and of course they had issues with the items that I said were on sale that were on sale and they refused to sell them to me and at that point she refused to do service with me the manager is very very rude has no people skills whatsoever I'm looking to call corporate now I would not recommend anybody to go to the store. They always got stuff in the way you can't move around you can't do nothing everything's in a different spot totally unorganized store

This place is dysfunctional and disrespectful. I came in at 7:20 on a Saturday evening to buy multi vitamins and the Karen of a manager immediately profiles me and asks if I brought a bag in with me. I'm like uh no I have my keys in my hand. That's bad management skills. She couldn't take a few seconds to look around and see before profiling me nope just immediaty dives right down my throat. So then I get to the line and there's at least 8 people just standing there because this dysfunctional, dystespectful, karen of a manager dosent even have a til open. Probably because she's to busy profiling and doing everything else but her job. So I turned around and left and I will not be back.

Staff are nice but every time something shows its on sale, ring it up and no sale. They say o that must be last week's sale. Go there a week later and tag still there.Some of the same items may be in different spots (drinks for example) the store and all will have different prices. Say they will fix it but never do. Employees quick to help but management is useless.Update: It's now a week after I wrote the first part of the review and still all the same sales tags up that they told me they were going to take down a a week before I wrote the review. Going to just start buying 20 things that I know will ring up wrong then have them go look at all the prices they have on the shelves and give me that cost. Happened again 3 days ago. Shelf says 2.50 And rings up 2.85. Tell them it needs changed then and sure enough go in there today And still the wrong tags. Still shopping out the stock carts cause nothing is put up. I wish the older ladies that worked there a few years back were still there. They kept that place perfect and stocked. They we're great. Then one day I come in and they fired everyone that worked there. Was closed for a few days till they hired some people. Since then the place has been a joke.

Staff are nice, but overworked and understaffed. Line is almost always long, store is crowded with product on the floor or six wheelers, store is dirty and disorganized, online quantities of product are inaccurate, difficult to be checked out as staff is busy trying to stock shelving. It looks like the staff are expected to do too many things at once and quality is completely lost.

The employees are always nice but it's hard to shop because the aisles are always crowded with the 6 wheelers full of products to be stocked. You can't hardly get your buggy down the aisles and It's always hot as hell in there! It's this way at all Dollar General stores......

Lady that works there is very rude especially to out of towners. Aisle are cluttered with racks of product, they lost all of our buisness.There is 30 plus of us here working.If you didn't have 40 different damn signs posted. I probably would have saw the one you was punching on when you yelled at me.

Have never had any issues up until the new manager Pedro. As a manager he should be setting an example for all his employees and by the standards of the company for whom he works. Not trying to be Captain Hero and jumping on cars and kicking vehicles of people he might think could have shoplifted in his store. Very dangerous to chase after people once they have exited oro the door

Well half the employees are rude and never smile or greet you as you enter and it's usually a mess and rest room is nasty. The clothes rack is a total wreck. Clothes rack so full you can't look through and if you take anything off the rack forget about putting it back. There's clothes just shoved on the bottom or in between clothes hanging. The hangers are all tangled together. I see broken stuff laying on shelves all the time. It needs a make over and someone just to keep up the cleaning.

This store used to be good for a quick stop however it's turned into trash since Melissa has been there. Literally trash every where. In the parking lot, on the aisles, on the shelves, in the managers office, across the registers. It is so hard to get to merchandise due to all the baskets, roltainers, and totes on the floor. This store is one step away from becoming a saftey hazard.

Found what I was looking for and ran into some very sweet people. A gentleman by the name of William was talking with me as we looked thru the Christmas Aisle and when I went up to get into line he was behind me with a hand full of stuff, he asked if he could put his himself stuff in my cart I said sure, i only had 5 quart size jars and my oxygen tank where the kids would sit. He ran to get a few more items as I waited in line for us. When we got to the register he insisted on paying for mine I was so shocked and overwhelmed! I told him I do that for people, I by a car behind ne's lunch & drive off. I thanked William for the $5.00 for my jars & told him he made my day! So my experience at Dollar General today was Wonderful!

They run a scam operation from this facility, beware! They call you and tell you to send money to this location posing as government agencies and say things like your social security is compromised and you would. RedTo send them all your savings to this location via fedex

Dollar general has replaced my Walmart shopping... I'm not speaking bad at Walmart at all, Dollar general is a smaller store and it's more convenient.. Finally got a great manager at this location
