Driving through Hico and craving some donuts and kolaches so it was a no brainer to stop at Country Donuts. Friendly staff and great donuts. If I’m in the area again, I’ll be back. Maybe a little crazy to make the drive just for a donut.

I love coming here for breakfast but sadly that is the only time to come. By 10 am they are out of pretty much everything because there are too many customers that cant save any for the rest of us. 😂 They have a decent variety of doughnuts and they taste great! I would appreciate if they would start making more flavors and be open later in the day. Who doesn't love a good doughnut through out the day?!! I mean, come on!! These people are so sweet and make my day!!

I wanted to buy one of every delicacy there; the chef is fantastic, and for once, the pastries, etc., tasted even better than they looked, which is not the norm. The help behind the counter answered all kinds of baking questions, and was great: personable; friendly, witty and had a great sense of humor. I ended up buying much more than I intended, completely due to the young lady's natural effervescent personality and her pointing out things that she especially liked. she's also responsible for the five lbs. I gained--but it was worth every bite.

On my work trips, I typically stop here for one (or two) of their amazing spicy Boudain Klobasniks. They are incredible. Staff is always friendly and ready to help. A favorite for road trips.

Was a quick stop while traveling. Got the mini sausage rolls, an iced coconut topped donut & a coffee. All were very good & the staff were very nice & cordial.
